Fun Shirts, OK Service, OK Tailoring
by amataram
If you are a guy with regular body type, under 40 yo. and consider yourself "cool-looking", this is the right store to visit. They have really good selection of cotton shirts, of-the-racks and made-to-measure. Howerver, if your body type is not so regular, over 40 yo. and "show it", avoid this place. They did not take enough measurements to make really good custom-made shirt, nor spending enough time to do it. Every measurements should ideally be checked at least twice on one sitting by the same tailor and they only did it once. Although not a tailor by profession, I studied be-spoke pattern making and have learned this very important facts (my family owns a garment factory). However, if you look good in a fitted white t-shirt, feel free to dive in. Nothing can go wrong here. The female wait staffs were a bit unfriendly and unhelpful. I never understood this since I was spending more than $1000 in less than 30 minutes. I know I am a very easy customer from almost every angles. So why this rather surly attitude? Common girls, lighten up a bit! The staffs in general paid more attention to youngish and cool-looking customer, which is fine with me if this group happens to be their only target market. Just like at night clubs, right? One last hint: my cleaner told me that the dark colored shirt worn of a bit quickly (thank God I only get one of them), so avoid the dark colors.
- Pros: Good fabric selection - light colors only
- Cons: A bit surly female wait staffs
Customer not always right
by c_gonya
Looking for formal shirt for my wedding, thought their stuff is nice which it is. Instead of brining my tux along thought I could purchase a shirt and try it on at home. I was very clear with my intentions and asked about their return policy, "no prob. just return within two weeks". Brought it back the very next week and was told they don't do refunds only exchanges. Manager was cool and made an exception seeing as I had not worn the shirt. Got a call later that day saying that I had in fact worn the shirt and I had to come pick it up. Went back to the store for a third time, so they could show me the obvious wear/tear/stains on the shirt. The shirt was pristine white, still had the creases where it had been folded up, no collar stain, nothing. I'm not one to make a scene so in the end I agreed to an exchange which was prob. all they wanted. I understood their point, but to be told I was lying regardless of the obvious evidence was very disrespectful. Spent just shy of $500 bucks there in less than a week, a customer should deserve better service.
- Pros: nice look
- Cons: silly staff
Crisp, A-plus quality ready-to-wear and custom-made work clothes.

In Short
Seize sur Vingt means 16 out of 20, a near-perfect mark in the French grading system, but owners James and Gwendolyn Jurney are being a bit modest. Their clean, beautifully cut men's and women's Egyptian cotton button-downs have found a burgeoning market among young and old. Pristine yet warm and welcoming, the minimalist space consists of a few rolling racks of perfectly pressed ready-to-wear shirts, pants and suits in various colors.

I thought the sales staff were really helpful and knowlegable about the product. The men's suits are beautifully made and the pants are very slimming and flattering. It could be a mob scence esp after brunch on sat!
- Pros: Quality, Fit, Atmosphere
Beautiful shirts, off target service
by jnyc
I took my boyfriend to 16/20 to have shirts made for his bday. I called ahead to try and make an appt. I was told no need for an appt, just come before the brunch rush at 1:00. By 11:30 the place was swamped and chaotic. I finally got someone to speak with us, she informed us we should have made an appt. That was annoying.
They have one book of fabrics which is a major bottleneck. They say that they take no less than 12 measurements, it was more like half that. 7 weeks later we never received a call that the shirts were ready, I had to call them. When you're spending $1000 on 4 shirts, you expect better service than this!
The shirts are beautiful in any case. If they work on their customer service then shopping there would be perfect.
- Pros: Craftsmanship
- Cons: Customer service, Communication

Avoid Dark Clothing
by mgrillo
I purchased one of their more darkly-colored shirts, and it's fading quickly -- quite noticeably after only about 8 or 9 cleanings. My (very reputable) dry cleaner told me that Seize sur Vingt uses low-quality dyes in its cotton shirts, and that they've seen many instances in which the garments fade quickly.
That being said, the rest of their stuff is beautiful.
- Pros: Beautiful clothing
- Cons: It doesn't last
