That's Weak, Ya'll

I've been eating at the Pump for three years now, and always rationalized the prices as fair for the quantity and quality. This is no longer the case. My standard lunch went up almost two dollars in price, and has gone down 50% in size. I don't mind the shrinkage in size, but not with a rise in cost!
Also, the marinade on the chicken went from being tangy and zesty to boring and (dare I say?) salty. The whole point of the Pump, I thought, was to avoid extra sodium??? And, the delicious tahini dressing that used to accommodate meals is no longer served without a special request....and an up-charge, I'm wagering.
I'll be steaming my own rice, veggies and chicken from now on.
PS I wrote this review on 10/30/08. Something's up with Citysearch's site.

I'm not health nut, but The Pump is one healthy place I don't avoid. The food is clean, fresh and very tasty. The quality of the ingredients used is top notch! I love the popeye--has lots of white chicken breast meat!!

Food tates great, is very healthy and reasonably priced. Gives me great ideas for cooking at home to continue tasty, healthy eating habits.

I love The Pump. I eat there almost every day, and the food always makes me feel great. For you guys who say the food is bland, I'm just curious how often you do anything physical - The Pump is not for people whose idea of a good time is a slice of pizza. The food tastes great to me, but I guess that's because I don't usually eat a lot of rich food. I love the salads because they are super fresh. Also, try the baked felafel, the humus, the rookie steakburger, the grilled chicken sandwich with non-fat mozzerella and tomato sauce. Oh, and they have awsome lentil soup.

This place is amazing. I've been eating at The Pump for 5 years, and it always makes me feel great. This is the place to eat lunch. if you are interested in fitness. Almost everybody I work with who goes to the gym eats at The Pump for lunch. And we get results. They also have an amazing breakfast. I always get the Turbo omelet.

Not only does their food taste so good that it makes you want to cry, but it is perfectly filling and you don't feel sick after eating it because it has the perfect combination of proteins, nutrients, carbs and vitamins. I order every night at work from them and then I order three times a day from them during the summertime when I am training for my ironman. Everything from their food, to their efficient and professional staff makes me love ordering from them. And don't you just love the costumes they wear when passing out fliers!

Pump is so delicious. I never saw a place anything like it. This is the first fast healthy food place where everything is made when you order it. It takes a little time sometimes. But its worth it when you are eating the food and then the whole afternoon when I feel so good.

to those that rated the Pump so negatively, the pump does have some very bland dishes like the "Champion", but there are many others that are really good! Try the "Dynamite w/ Chicken", the "Deisel", "Steak and Eggs" for breakfast. Last but not least, you have to have the sweet potato/banana pie for dessert. Oh- and try the juices and shakes too!
Best part is that you can feel good about eating any of it.

- Cons: long lines at 1:30pm
