Stayed over at the W New York - Times Square this past weekend (St. Patrick's Day 2012). As expected from the W, everything was excellent. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

AMAZING 5 STAR EXPERIENCE!!!!”

I had to take the time to do it because i was blown away by my experience at the W!!! Had a bad Starwood experience at another hotel. It's a great hotel but if any of you are looking to save some $$ then book it at SweetHotelDeals.us They usually have some pretty good deals on there!

Typical W Hotel

I always give W Hotels good marks for hip decor. I've generally had good experiences at most of them. The one drawback I'd say that is a pretty serious one for the business traveler is that rooms are sexier rather than actually usefully or comfortably laid out. So lighting for instance is always an issue - there is usually not enough. Comfortable seating also is a problem - I like to work in a really good armchair. The bathroom at my NY W was so dark I could barely see a thing and was practically reduced to asking the room service guy if my makeup looked ok.

The other issue with the W Times Square is both a strength and a drawback. You are truly in the middle of NYC - which can be really cool. On the other hand, you are in the middle of all the tourists who come here also. And while I enjoy being a tourist, it can make rushing to business meetings a challenge. Still, I love NYC and love the W for its looks.

• Cons: You are in middle of Times Square

It's Time Square But Still the W Experience

Location is a pro and con. It's in Times Square so convenient to everything but it is Times Square so prepare to deal with the crazy foot traffic and loads of tourists.

W is for "Wonderful"

We were a little hesitant about making a reservation at this hotel because of some of the other reviews, but we were very pleasantly surprised. We had a wonderful time at the W Times Square . Our room was beautiful and it looked like it had just been renovated! The little chocolates that were left in the room everyday was a very nice touch, along with the note from the General Manager on our first day. We also noticed that we never hear the housekeeping staff, but the rooms are always clean.

Everyone we came in contact with at the hotel were very accommodating and we felt like they genuinely cared about the quality of our stay.

There was one staff member in particular who helped to make our stay extra memorable. Gil (I think one of the security staff?) was especially helpful and went out of his way to make our stay more special. We felt like VIPs in the hotel and also that we had a friend who would take care of us. We've stayed in many W's over the years now and the service in general is very good, but the service at this location was outstanding!

We couldn't have asked for a more perfect stay.

Beautiful Hotel, Great Location

This hotel, is classy with style. Service is top notch and draws in a very high profile clientelle. Great experience all in all. Amazing drinks at the "Livingroom Lounge" upstairs. Top shelf all the way.

cool hotel, but not really worth it

the hotel has a really upscale, modern, chic feel, and is definitely the best W in NYC.

however, u still have informal agents- not that polite, lousy housekeeping at times, although the views are really good on the high floors.

such a cool hotel, too bad there's so much detriments...

Simply the best!!

The W Hotel in Times Square is simply the best. It is chic, trendy and the cater to your every need while your staying there. I was in awe. The decor is fabulous. The service was INCREDIBLE!!Basically if you didn't want to leave your hotel at all, there is a lounge called the Living Room, the Blue Fin restaurant where I will host a birthday party this Saturday and the The Whiskey which is the club inside the W. My family is still ranting and raving about it!! KUDOS to the staff as the W-the whatever,whenever service. I booked a room again for my mom's birthday. She can't wait!!

• Cons: Absolutely NONE
