Great Sushi, Great Service
by sweet a
The food is outstanding, the appetizers are amazing and the service couldn't be better. I usually combine some sushi with one or two of their very creative cocktails, yummy.
The only downside is the atmosphere. Although the crowd is usually pleasant I don't like to style, it's more like a sports-bar and just too small. Their location in Totowa is much much better.
Great for a date
by MickeyFricchione
Sushi Lounge is perfect for a first date! It's right on the river and has a great view-- I took this girl I was seeing for the first time there last week. It's tiny with just a few tables and very intimate. I got this huge Dragon Roll that melted in my mouth and she wouldn't stop raving about this TY KU cocktail on their menu with agave nectar! The best part was during dinner out of no where fire works went off over the river! Talk about looking like mr. romantic-- she loved it!
- Pros: Tiny and romantic with a great view
- Cons: The place is kind of noisy!
Great place for a date
by sandytravel
The place is tiny, however, the free appetizers are worth the trip alone. The staff is extremely friendly and the service is great. The sushi is always fresh and delicious! Great place for a date, hang out with friends, small celebration, ...
- Pros: Service
- Cons: Nothing
Nice Presentation
by sharmagirl
The HOBOKEN roll is to die for, spicy tuna is delicious. Their presentation is amazing and the service is prompt and courteous. It is usually loud inside of the restaurant so I would reccomend sitting outside on a nice night. The sushi si really good, however I did not get any type of sashimi. Great date spot.
- Pros: Specialty Rolls
- Cons: Small and Loud
Loved It!
by Deehz
I enjoyed myself at Sushi Lounge I tried new things and they were delish!! I LOVE their desserts!!! It gets a bit packed so you may have to wait, and sometimes they blast the music a little too loud. But other than that I loved it. The service and the food were great. It isn't pricey at all, even better they have their menu posted online so you can take a look before you even stop by how great is that??
- Pros: Cozy,Ambiance, Service, Food, Price
- Cons: It's a bit hard to find parking in hoboken...
Regular Says: "Don't listen to them!"
by mm1761
I use Citysearch all the time for advice, but have never reviewed before. I felt the NEED to review Sushi Lounge because of the sad amount of negative reviews here. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM! I first discovered Sushi Lounge through the Morristown location. I have been going to and ordering from both locations for years now, and have yet to be disappointed once! It's a little pricey, but you will not find better sushi and atmosphere in NJ. The fish is FRESH, and you feel like you can actually sit and enjoy yourself while you eat (unlike some other local sushi houses which rely on take-out or delivery). It can get a little loud when the bar crowd gets going, and it is a little pricy. BUT you'll pay TWICE as much at Koi in the city for half the food!
I spent NYE 2006 at Morristown Sushi Lounge and had a blast... plan to dine at Sushi Lounge in Hoboken prior to this year's festivities in NYC. TRY SUSHI LOUNGE, you won't regret it!! Obviously they've gotten something right... their THIRD restaurant just opened! Money talks... and this place is making money and expanding!
- Pros: Great sushi, creative rolls (No, they don't use ketchup!)
- Cons: Little loud when bar crowd's in full swing
who priced their menu?

food is fine but not worth the money.
nice atmosphere but definitely one of those places you go to once.
- Pros: food
- Cons: expensive
Sushi Bliss at a price
by rolled_over
Can't beat the sushi, regular here but not so regular lately as the rolls seem to be shrinking! How can a special roll for 14/15 dollars come out the size of the a tootsie roll! But seriously the food is consistently great, remember the edemame should be hot not warm and I'll be back!!
- Pros: Sushi, Staff, Atmosphere
- Cons: Roll size, crowded

- Pros: Ambiance, Food, Service

FANTASTIC RESTAURANT
by fbafumi
Went there on my 10th wedding anniversary and I won't wait another 10 years to go back. Ambiance was warm and inviting, service was excellent, and the food was even better. Got the sushi for two and an entree and we were stuffed. I will definitely go back...and soon.
- Pros: food, service, ambiance
- Cons: parking, japanese beer
