Cheap and good dumplings!
by sihui
I wanted some cheap thrill that would fill me up for dinner. I read about this place on yelp. However, the address given at yelp is 106 Mosco St. So I hope this is the same "Fried Dumpling" store. Anyhow, I bought 60 dumplings for $10 and brought home my prize to cook in two different ways: boiled and fried. Both cooking methods yielded delicious dumplings with juicy interiors. The filling is pretty good, though not as good as those you get in the full service dim sum restaurants...but hey, what do you expect for the price? Definitely would recommend this place for anyone looking for frozen dumplings.
- Pros: Cheap, tasty and satisfying
Huge Dissapointment
by surfguido
Have to agree with the last review - I went out of my way to check this place out based on top cheap eats reviews and all these postings and this was the biggest dissapointment - this is your basic frozen dumpling fried - nothing special - cheap filler and not probably not all that good for you - maybe some cardboard boxes in the filling (they actually did this in China) but I couldn't really tell. There are so many places in NY that actually make the dumplings in front of you - and some for the same prices in Chinatown.
- Pros: Cheap Filler
- Cons: Unhealthy, not that tasty
Don't waste your $1
by lisalisa0812
I went out of my way to go to Fried Dumpling at the recommendation of Citysearch reviews. It was disgusting. The dumplings were below average and greasy. The place was so dirty it was horrible. So many other places to go and have better dimplings and a cleaner space. I regret wasting my $1.
- Pros: Nothing
- Cons: Dirty and dumplings were greasy
Dumplings juast dont get any better than this.

Its a hole in a wall without seating or proper service but if you go there, you'll come back again and again for take out. You can get the dumplings and sit down at a nearby park and enjoy your quick meal. The dumplings are succulent and perfectly crisp.
Hooked

The first thing on my mind most mornings is when and how I will be getting to fried dumpling. I keep my fingers crossed the whole subway ride hoping that there will be a table I can sit at by myself and not have to share with the rice congee soup people. I drop more dollar bills here than your uncle after a weekend at Scores. I go back in line like three times on average until I can't walk anymore.
- Pros: Food, prices
- Cons: Could use more seating
1 dollar lunch
by cartman111
this is lunch for a dollar in New York City. A plate of dumplings for a dollar can't be beat.
found this place by accident on a cold afternoon

and have treasured it ever since. how do they make money with 5 dumplings for $1? simply the best food even if they charged twice as much.
Full for $3.00
by bauzen
Never in my life did I think that I could be satisfied both in taste and in quantity for $3.00 in NYC. Fried dumpling is the arguably the quickest/best value in NYC. At 5 dumplings for $1, you just cannot go wrong. Although the place could be a little more eye catching and roomier, at the same time, it doesn't really matter. Get your food to go, find a bench, and kick back with a plate of dumplings.
- Pros: Value, Fast, Tastey
- Cons: Limited Seating, Short Menu
I concur...

All the prior reviews really are accurate. This place has amazing fried dumplings and these wonderful pork buns that defy description. Are they boiled? Steamed? Fried? They're super tasty. Food is consistently good and super cheap- highly recommended. But keep it between us, okay?
- Pros: Awesome food, Really cheap, Super fast
- Cons: None!
5 AMAZING Dumplings for One Dollar
by thepinksuperhero
I almost wanted to write a bad review, so no one would ever go here and I could have all the dumplings to myself! SO SO SO SO SO good! And cheap! I wish they had one near my office- I would go everyday. Go, go, hurry, before everyone finds out about it.
