ABSOLUTELY AMAZING
by KateGAL
I wrote this review on yelp, as well, but I really feel I have to spread the word... Mezzanine Spa is fantastic!
I have been suffering from acne and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (caused by acne) for as long as I can remember. I have been to dermatologists and tried about every medication and skin care line (proactiv, murad, etc) with no luck. I was completely loosing hope and on the verge of giving up... I would just have to live with horrible skin.
However, I heard great things about the IPL photo rejuvenation acne clearing facial, and after some research, decided to give it a try. I am absolutely ecstatic about the results. It's completely changed my skin around!
It takes about 4-5 treatments every 2 weeks or so, but it has done for my skin what no dermatologist and medication could do! My pores have tightened, acne has cleared, and inflammation significantly reduced. (and I definitely saw a difference after 1 treatment almost immediately!) AND on top of that, I had a few spots from sun damage that has faded, skin texture has smoothed out, and overall skin has tightened. I actually have good skin for once in I don't know how long!
My esthetician that has been working with me is fantastic, Joelle. She is very knowledgeable on IPL photo rejuvenation facials (actually IPL in general) and is very caring, attentive to my concerns, and a pleasure to be around. She's worked with me to find the perfect treatment for my skin and has helped and educated me more than any previous doctor has. (She's also given me great nutritional and skin care regime advice - just a great overall esthetician, if you're looking for one!) Everyone there is fantastic; helpful and so nice. I couldn't be more happy or grateful to this spa!
VERY UNPROFESSIONAL

3 of my friends and I bought a facial and massage deal for this day spa. When I was about to get my massage, I was not informed that a man will be the one who gave me the massage. I told the lady who assisted me to the room that I'm not comfortable with a man giving me a massage, she said, only 2 people do the massage, 1 woman and 1 man, since the other woman will do the massage for my friend, I suggested that I will just wait for my turn, or I will just reschedule my appointment.
The lady, Sanead that other masseuse, was very unprofessional and mentioned that I cannot reschedule, and my voucher is forfeited, she even said that I'm making the situation akward. It is like take it or leave it. She even said that she will definitely not so my massage and I'm wasting their time. The other lady even blame me that I should have told them that I don't want a man beforehand. I was not given an option at all.
The place was nice though and heard that they do good services.
But the way they treated the issue was very unprofessional. This does not deserve even a 1 star. I will never recommend this place to anyone.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Went for spa wk massage. Place was very inviting as soon as you walk in with wonderful friendly staff. Changng area with lockers were very nice, has 2 showers if you need & nice sofa to sit with snacks while waiting. Entire experience was so relaxing that I know I will go back for future treatment. It's in soho so nice place to shop afterwards. So happy I got to try this spa on spaweek. I feel like I discovered a gem.
you need loads of patience

Wanted to try this spa due to the positive reviews. Booking an appointment is a task and a half while receptionist puts you on hold forever. If not for the raves about this spa, the unprofessional manner/system of answering every new call while you are put on hold several times is a total turn off. You do need the massage after the stress of trying to have a full sentence in without being cut off !
Relaxing!

My daughter and I were in NYC this past weekend to celebrate her 16th birthday. As a suprise, I made her and appointment for her 1st massage and reflexology.
When we walked in the Mezzanin Spa I knew I made the right choice. Her jaw dropped! It was a tranquil, relaxing environment. She loved the experience so much she fell asleep. We will surely visit again when back in the city. Thanks to everyone there
- Pros: peaceful, quiet, professional
Great place for a facial!
by villagepeople
I recently had an IS Clinical Facial with Jillian and I left the spa with an amazing glow. I swear, my skin looked about ten years younger and it felt cleaner, fresher, smoother, and refreshed. Jillian really knows her stuff !
The spa is a soothing place and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The fact that the spa is supervised by a doctor really shows in the more advanced and thorough services they provide.
I will be back ! Very pleased with the facial and the results. Jillian also introduced me to the IS line which is amazing. Again, my skin looks better than it has in years!
- Pros: Excellent facial w/attentive professional staff
- Cons: none!
great service

Visiting new york on a quick trip, my friends took me to Soho for some shopping. We decided to walk down a quiet street to get away from the huge crowds on Broadway and came across this spa. Luckily they took walk-ins and I can't even begin to tell you how beautiful this place is. I had one of their specials, a deep pore cleansing facial and my friend had a massage. We didn't want to leave. I'm definitely going back next time I'm in town. Look for it on Crosby...between spring and broome. Ladies its 2 doors down from bloomies!
- Pros: friendly staff, located on a quiet street
Great medical pedicure and bikini wax!
by sohomom
I am now a regular for the medical pedicure with Marcela - a professional who is really committed to her work and her clients' experience. She is professional, calming, thorough, meticulous, and you never feel rushed or like you are a number. It is truly a stress relieving get away and my feet emerge soft and lovely. I added on a bikini wax last time - almost brazilian I'll call it -- my first to that extent - and again, I give Marcella an A+. The waxing room is spacious and clean - Marcella once again is extremely professional and makes you feel comfortable. The strawberry hard wax was used on the bikini - very little pain and redness - with great results. My hubby is happy with the results too !
- Pros: Great work, clean, Marcella is the best
very relaxing

My husband gave me a gift certificate for valentine's day for a Mezzage and a Micro Derm Peel. I was scared at first because I never had this treatment, but my skin felt so soft after the micro derm. I didn't want the massage to end! I am definitely going back for my birthday.
- Pros: very professional
Hidden Oasis

I have lived in soho for 7 years and didn't even know about the spa until I heard about it from my neighbor. I was very happy with my deep tissue massage and will definitely be going back for more. It was a great massage and so close to home!
