Cool Store To Visit

Nice to visit,check out new electronics, take pics,kill time, but never buy, why? because its too expencive, you can save lots of money buying it from outside.

Sorry I have to write more: anyway I like Sony products, Its Cool Nice and fun.

I own Sony products PSP,PS1,PS3,TV,DVD player,Sound system,walkman,

CD player,camera, Video Camera and the Book.

• Pros: Nice to check out nice cool gear
• Cons: Expencive

Check out the latest Sony electronics in this expensive, sterile flagship store--but buy them elsewhere.

The Scene
Located in Midtown's Sony Plaza, the two-floor store is an overly slick showcase for Sony's latest products. Often as crowded and frantic as any Chinatown electronics bazaar, the cramped space is especially uncomfortable around lunch time when locals dive in for a few rounds on the demo PlayStation 2 console and a mochaccino at the in-store Starbucks.

The Goods
Luckily, there's rarely a crowd in the store's sunken basement, where the corporation has outfitted the sort of sci-fi dream home once only drooled over at Epcot. Relaxing on one of the low-slung couches downstairs, enjoying surround-sound multimedia systems and gargantuan televisions, it's easy to fall in love with a new gadget as hyper-educated salespeople wow you with statistics. The store is a window-shopper's dream, but everything's strictly list-price (read: expensive); smart shoppers test-drive their tech obsessions here, but buy them for less elsewhere.

This Sony store really has a lot of "style". Located in the Sony US Headquarters, the store is split into two different components: left side has discmans, mini disc players, cd's etc and the right side has HD TV's, cameras, headphones, and other electronic devices. I have purchased two mini disc players from this place, and yes, I paid a pretty price. Don't be scared when you discover exactly what the items cost in this place. Overall, good service.

This futuristic looking store carries many of Sony's new cameras, tape recorders and gadgets. It's fun to stroll around, but that's all you should do. Prices are ridiculous. I recently purchased a video camera at a little shop on Madison Avenue for $850. The same camera at Sony Style cost $1150!
