HORRIBLE>>>Don't waste your money!
by roo6611
This place is a .5 notch above a "happy ending" joint! PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!! There is a reason the website only has one picture. Don't let the Wall St. location fool you, there is nothing 1% about this dump. The people there are low class and cold. Speaking of cold, 5 min into my massage, the power went out in the room. There was only a small space heater in the room and when it had no power guess what? I got a hour long massage in a freazing cold room!!! Then when I get to the table, the lady at the dest had the nerve to tell me she "calculated the tax and tip based on the actual cost of the massage(I used Groupon)." Really? As if this message was worth a penny more than the Groupon price!!! And her answer to the freezing cold room? "Well, that is what happens whe you have many things plugged in at once." WOW!!! I have seen nicer hospital rooms. I had to take my clothes off in the same room as the massage and put everything on the floor dirty hardwood floor! While I am in the room, I am hearing the ticking of the wall clock, the people next door and a faint sound of music from the hallway...Zen, I think not!!! Everything the other low reviews said was true..from the lecture prior to the message to the tip suggestion at the end. A slap in the face from start to finish!
Better than many well-known spas!
by Cristina P
I've been to many well-known spas in the city: Bliss, Juvenex, Exhale -- but none compares to the massage that I received by Marina at Spring Thyme. She did a good job of concentrating on my problem areas, and made sure to ask more than once if the pressure was okay. It was obvious that she was an experienced and well-trained therapist which did not seem the case for a number of the therapists that worked on me at the larger spas. For the quality of the massage, the price was a steal and I definitely will recommend Spring Thyme to my family and friends.
Extremely poor service
by Boram Nam
I bought this through Groupon because the deal seemed pretty good but everything was just far below average. First of all, the masseur had me sit down before starting the massage and 'instruct' me that I am not to ask for massages on certain spots and the pressure of the massage would be very light. Here, I am thinking- ok I won't expect too much and will try to relax- whatever- it's very good deal anyways. HOWEVER, she was being too instructive that made me feel like a student talking to a dumb guidance councelor- I DO NOT pay to receive such a service like that. About the MASSAGE, there is NO pressure- I feel like she was just playing with my skin- not with my muscle and it did NOT work as a relaxation massage at all. Finishing the massage: what kind of a place does NOT wipe off a client's body after applying massage oils? I had to ask for the hot towel because she was just leaving the room without wiping my body and she goes, "I don't have anymore hot towel"- Excuse me? Then you should NOT operate a massage spa or use any massage oil.
Now about tipping: I was forced to tip higher than what I thought that person or this spa deserved. I just wanted to get out of this depressing, unprofessional place so I tipped in cash and left. I did NOT feel relaxed and Yes, I was ripped off.
VERY DISAPPOINTING
by conky
people were nice but massage was TOTALLY DISAPPOINTING!
massage was much too light. no pressure at all.
the pressure came, instead, when it was time to tip. i was pressured to tip higher than i wanted to.
"reflexology" was simply lightly rubbing my feet.
thank goodness i didnt pay full price (bought a groupon), but even with that i felt ripped off.
save your money.
High Quality yet Affordable Option

I was pleasantly surprised to find that this place is not your average spa. I went because its near my work and the price was right, but I was super impressed with the place and the people who helped me! Zori is a waxing sculptress!! I went in just to get my brows waxed and she took 25 minutes and gave me incredible attention and care. She treated my brows like a work of art!
Then I had a massage by Julia, who was absolutely excellent. She was considerate and professional and a great masseuse. You can go somewhere else and spend $200 on a massage but you won't find a better masseuse. I think this place is a great find - yay!
Great Hidden Gem
by AbbyNicoletti
Spring Thyme Spa is a great find! I can not recommend it enough. I just had a wax with Zori and she was awesome! It was as painless as the service could be and she also took the time to explain what she was doing so you knew exactly what to expect. I also had a facial with her and that was great as well.
Everyone was polite and the atmosphere was very calming and comfortable. I highly recommend Spring Thyme.

Great Place to Have Acupuncture & Herbal Remedy

Amazing Traditional Acupuncturist & Herbalist
Dr. Li's acupuncture and herbal medicines are incredible. I am so happy with my treatments here! Dr. Li has a great healing spirit. He has helped my back pain enormously. Additionally, he has helped alleviate headaches I had going on. He is a clear, intelligent person who seems to know just the right thing to do to make me better!
I would happily recommend friends, family to this lovely spa! I'm looking forward to returning soon!
- Pros: very professional
Spring Thyme Spa Manhattan
by ManhattanMermaid
I got a Brazilian bikini wax from Zori, a gentle yet thorough aesthetician who clearly knows what she is doing. She made the experience very pleasant and as least discomforting as possible. She really made me feel at ease, especially since this was the first time I'd gotten a Brazilian. I really liked the French wax she used; it grabbed all the hair while not making me cry in pain. The staff is very friendly and attentive.
The spa is very nicely priced for the services offered. It is very conveniently located in the Financial District, not far from Battery Park City where I live. I am looking forward to going back to try some of their other services, including acupuncture.
- Pros: Expert care, minimum fuss, holistic-minded, friendly staff
Financial District Wonder Spa

As soon as I walked in to Spring Thyme I felt comfortable. The staff is great and very helpful. The ambiance of Spring Thyme is all very relaxing. I went for my first Brazilian Wax and was extremely nervous but thanks to Zori, the experience was great!! I highly recommend her. She spoke to me during the whole process making me feel at ease and explaining to me every step. She made me not even think about it which was awesome.. I would highly recommend Zori for the Brazilian Wax she is wonderful!!!!
- Pros: Great Waxing, Wonderful Customer Service
- Cons: N/A
