I had a groin rash from past 10 months, and also a newly developed rash which was itching. I used to sweat a lot near my inner thighs and groin area... i was really very nervous to visit a doctor. i went to dr. parikh, he just had one look and prescribed an ointment cream. It worked wonders right from day 2.. within 2 weeks all my rash had gone away, even the one which was existing 10 months ago... I have half of cream still left with me...but it will be of no use now... I would recommend Dr. Parikh for any skin related problems...he's too good

I've been a patient of Dr. Parikh for about a decade, moving with him through two practices and then to his own, lovely practice downtown. He is caring and knowledgeable, a wonderfully kind, effective, and ethical doctor and a great person! I walk out with improved skin, great tips, techniques, and a great sense of self. He's the best - and I should know - I've been all over town to the so-called "best", especially for my rosacea and for laser treatments, injections, cosmetic treatments, and sensitive skin - and he's absolutely first in my little black book of my pit crew!

Pros: Dr. Parikh, range of services, great staff, efficient and streamlined record-keeping

Cons: Absolutely Non

Consultation took no more than 5 mins. I was asked to examen myself at home if there should be a suspition about melanoma...How would I do this? Just expensive treatments were recommended. When I went to pick up my presciprtion at the pharmacy it came to $163. I was shocked and just left it at the pharmacy.

Two or three visits and all have been good. The office is the antithesis of most medical facilities: modern, well-equipped, pretty even. And better magazines. But Dr. Parekh is the reason I go back. He's kind, funny, smart, highly ethical, fast, and thorough. Explains everything clearly, doesn't push any procedure or product at all, and is just a cool guy.

Pros: compassion, skills, office, payment options (credit cards including Amex), wait time (nearly nil)

Cons: i've wracked my brains, but alas, none

As a licensed rehabilitation manual therapist, and now MSc student of Oriental Medicine and Naturopathic Medicine, I have been recommending my patients to Dr. Parikh for seven years. I am also a long term patient of his. I am pleased to recommend my patients to several of the finest healthcare professionals in New York. This includes excellence in front desk administration in each of these offices. Dr. Parikh and the professionals he has hired meet this criteria. The current consultation fee is $175 with follow up visits $100, staff is accessible, courteous, patient, helpful, skilled, and attentive. Dr. Parikh is an exceptional medical specialist in that he is a highly qualified dermatologist. He is intelligent, refined, informed, patient, compassionate, responsive, attentive, generous, and witty. The fact that he is one of New York's FINEST dermatologists is gilding the lily. Few professionals in any career reach mastery and strive for excellence which is why I am so proud to share this rare New York resource.

I've been blessed with extremely sensitive, combination skin which has led me to see dermatologists at periods throughout my life. I saw three dermatologist (one extremely well known in NY) before I found Dr. Parikh. All three tried to tell me that I needed this or that expensive product and persciptions for everything under the sun. FINALLY, Dr. Parikh was the one dermatologist that took a natural approach...recommending simple products and an even simpler regime. He took the time to talk to me about my life as well and we discovered that high stress was also causing some of the issues. I highly recommend Dr. Parikh - he's thorough, smart and kind!

Upon entering the facility, the receptionist was unattentive. I saw Dr. Parikh (the founder), my consultation lasts for only 5 minutes, he did not ask me much questions and made lame recommendation to use their 2 services not covered by insurance: one is a $150 facial, and the other is a $150 chemical peel. When I asked what's special about the facial, Parikh responded with only 2 words "the technique". When I asked how does the chemical peel works and what's the effect, he referred me to his web site (which has one short paragraph that does not answer both my questions). When he charges $300 for consultation, I definitely deserve better responses as a patient.

Cons: unprofessional consultation
