I LOVED IT!
by cmnicolewong
My husband had taken me there for the wkend 2yrs back as a surprise to ask me to marry him. The staff there went out of their way to make everything perfect for me. My husband told them that he wanted lots of flowers, chocolate, wine and anything else they can think of. When I walked in there were long stem roses EVERYWHERE, they had the wine, the chocolates, fruits set out, the music playing. They made the reservations for dinner for us and had a rose water bath ready when we returned. It was the best experience I've ever had.
great place to wow your significant other...

great place to pampered and if money is no object then I suggest book a weekend and go for it. The Bentley takes you all over the place and the club is totally awesome!
- Pros: awesome service, the staff is superb, great amenities
Best that it gets

After staying in every possible luxury hotel in NY, I can attest that the RitzCarlton CP is THE BEST in NY. It doesn'r mean that it's perfect, but it is the best that money can buy in Manhattan.
Luxury and standard-setting service overlooking New York City's greatest attraction.

The Scene
Housed in a lovely 1930s-era Emery Roth building, this member of the Ritz-Carlton family enjoys a more distinctive, intimate and romantic atmosphere than other properties in the network. Many rooms in the 33-story, AAA Five Diamond hotel afford sweeping views of Central Park (others overlook 6th Avenue or a courtyard); the sight alone from the plush Ritz-Carlton and Royal Suites is worth the splurge.
The Details
Common areas enjoy a warm, Old-World feel (heightened by harp and piano recitals in the Star Lounge), while guest rooms are airy and spacious. Delicious in-room and hotel dining and a free DVD library make staying in a pleasant option. Impeccable, friendly service keeps the vibe comfortable and accessible. Extras, from telescopes to the unparalleled Club Lounge, justify the Ritz reputation.
What an Incredible Stay!

The staff was so friendly! We had our two kids: ages 2.5 and 16 months with us. The staff was so great with our kids. The location is perfect for toddlers since it's so close to all the Central Park activities, the American Museum of Natural History, etc. The concierge really came through for us with great suggestions as well - places to go with and/or without the kids.
- Pros: Great Service, Wonderful Staff
The Ultimate

Call your credit card company and let them know the charges are for real! Because this hotel is the ultimate in luxury and tip-top service, they are allowed to charge whatever the hell they want and they do. If you are going to stay here, book a park-view room on one of the high floors. You get a big room, huge bathroom, and the most comfortable bed. Went for a run in CP. I had evian, apple and a towel handed to me on my way in. The view from the room amazing. Stay here on a special occasion. The staff are nice, maybe because they know those staying there are loaded and could get them fired in a heart beat but nice nonetheless. Use the concierge and get into anyplace you ever wanted. This hotel is amazing and we ran into Al Sharpton. RCCP is the BEST!
- Pros: LUXURIOUS, the room, the view
