Andy Warhol makes his own posthumous scene happen in the meatpacking district.

The Scene
In 2000, Wooster Projects deftly made the leap from the disappearing Soho art scene in order to play an active role in the Meatpacking District's renaissance. Small and unobtrusive on now-bustling West 14th Street, this gallery has a straightforward and easily maneuverable layout that enables art-lovers to experience the work without complications. With an enormous collection of unpublished paintings available, the exhibits can change every two to three months so be sure to make this a regular stop on your art stroll.
The Draw
Specializing almost exclusively in Pop Art, Wooster Projects owns the largest collection of Andy Warhol works in the country. His canvases are always on display--sometimes alongside his sometime collaborator, neo-primitive Jean-Michel Basquiat; other times next to the comic book inflected works of Roy Lichtenstein. Amidst the gritty glitter of this part of town, these burst of color are more than welcome.
