Delicious Banana Roll

I like this place mainly for the creative rolls. The ambiance is nothing to write home about, but it's an efficient little place that serves up fresh and inventive rolls. My favorite (and a popular one) is the banana roll - tempura banana with tuna. I would never have thought of putting those two together, but now that I've tried it I want to sample more fruit and fish sushi options. The sweetness and creaminess of the banana goes perfectly with the tuna. They also have the standard lunch specials - $8-9 for two rolls, soup and salad - so it's a good weekday spot.

DO NOT GO. STAY AWAY. WORST SERVICE IN MY LIFE. AND FOOD NOT THAT GOOD.

Not only did they mess up my order (only ordered 3 items so hard to mess that up), by giving me the wrong salad, but they also added on rolls that I did not order and are conveniently pricey! When I called to ask them to refund me for the additional items that i did not order, the owner was outraged. He would not believe that he took the wrong order and that I was lying. He then yelled at me and told me to never order from there again and HUNG UP ON ME!

given that the food isnt that good, they (and especially the owner) have some nerve being mean to customers. No one should ever talk to a customer in that manner, especially when the customers are merely just victims or poor order-taking!

Greatest find ever

As a frequent sushi eater, I?ve visited places ranging from the very exclusive to already-prepared lunch places. I?ve found Iron Sushi to offer the freshest and most creative sushi, all at a reasonable price. On top of the unparallel food, the atmosphere is fun and the staff is very friendly. I?ve brought all my friends here (the ones that live close enough now all order out from here) and colleagues from out of town (who demand we go back every time they are in the city). I recommend the Spicey Girl roll and sashimi.

Great Atmosphere and Friendly Service

This is a great sushi place! I have gone many times either right after work or on a saturday night. The staff is very alert and are always willing to help you. The manager is great. He always remembers me when I come in. The sushi rolls always taste fresh and they have many different rolls to choose from. The service is fast and friendly. I recommend this place for any one either a sushi rookie or the more expierenced! Enjoy :)

DO NOT EAT HERE - GOT VERY VERY SICK AND RUDE MANAGER

I ate here a couple times and to be honest it is average at best. Last week I ordered in and a couple hours later I was green in the face and very very sick. I spent the next 4 hours with my head in the toilet and trust me - it was the sushi. When I ate the dinner, it didn't taste good and now I know why. I went to tell the manager about what happened and here was extremely rude, ignoring me, cutting me off in mid sentence to answer the phone and said I was a liar and it wasn't from his sushi and did not care that I got sick. DO NOT EAT HERE PLEASE. VERY VERY RUDE PEOPLE AND GOT VERY SICK FROM THEIR SUSHI. THERE ARE MUCH BETTER INEXPENSIVE PLACES.

Good neighborhood sushi joint

A great place to stop by with a small party to grab a quick and economical dinner. The sushi is fresh, served in decent portions and at a great price. You can definitely fill yourself up for your money. The restaurant is a good neighborhood place, nothing fancy or done up. Service was friendly and attentive. My friend and I shared a kani salad (very tasty and unique) and both ordered combination rolls. With 3 rolls of 6 and a soup or salad, I was beyond satisfied!! So while I wouldn't go out of my way to come back for their sushi, if I was in the neighborhood I definitely wouldn't mind stopping by for dinner or takeout.

Great, fresh sushi

Their bento box is a great deal and definitely fills you up for 17 bucks. The food is very fresh and service is quick, although not overly warm. The wait is never long either

i suppose if the sushi were extraordinary, the service could be compromised. the older gentleman and woman at the door are pleasant, the servers in the back are horrendous.

Great Sushi, Right Price!

Since moving into the neighborhood, we eat here 1-2 times per week. We used to eat in, but more recently get delivery. Much better value than more flashy NYC spots and the sushi will be fresh!

Unbelievable and very fairly priced. Sashimi and specialty rolls (3rd ave roll is a must) are unreal!
