I highly recommend this studio to anyone! My husband and I decided to take lessons for our wedding first dance & were extremely pleased with the result. Nathan is an excellent instructor who made both of us feel very comfortable and free to express our likes/dislikes in the choreography. We surprisingly enjoyed our lessons so much we are considering taking lessons w/Nathan as fun thing to do together.

Nathan, I wanted to tell you that Paula and I SOOOO enjoy your weekly dance lesson. Its fun, romantic, a little workout, and overall gives us a warm, happy feel. You set the tone for the experience, and we no longer feel bad about not practicing between lessons. It is an hour to step outside of our life’s box and just have fun. Thanks. Denise

Honestly, if it were not for Nathan (owner of the studio and my first ballroom dance teacher), I wouldn’t have learned to dance so quickly. He has a unique teaching style that helps you master dance steps and techniques while having fun. Lots of patience, too - especially important for beginners so that they don’t get discouraged. Other teachers at the studio are also very talented and passionate about their business. The studio has a very informal, “family-like” atmosphere. You feel like you belong to the dancing community, not just a lonely student coming there only for your lesson. That’s yet another reason why many students are so loyal to this studio and have been taking lessons here for many years.

Nate did a fantastic job of preparing us for our wedding reception. Neither my wife nor I are experienced dancers, and he was able to tailor a routine to our skills and the music we selected. We also had a fun time in the classes in and of themselves, which was a tremendous stress reliever during the run-up to our wedding.

Nathan, we can't say enough wonderful things about you and the experience we had working with you for our wedding. We were nervous to come in with no dance experience and the dream of somehow dancing to a fast song as our first wedding dance. Thanks to your amazing skills, we nailed it! Many people told us they'd never seen a couple dance to fast music for their wedding song and that it was the highlight of the night! Your patience and wonderful personality made every lesson fun for us. We looked forward to every Tuesday night prior to the wedding - you made the preparation so much fun! Thank you for taking the time to teach us some other dances as well. We really came away with so much!! We are recommending you to all of our engaged friends. No one can go wrong learning to dance from you!

A laid back dance studio where you get a laugh as well as a dance lesson. The relaxed atomospher attracts dancers from some large corporations, including the United Nations.

Rhythm Break is, in my opinion, New York City's best-kept dance secret (and I've taken classes at many studios in Manhattan). Nathan...the owner and main teacher at the studio... is an excellent dancer, a natural-born teacher (and all-around good-guy) who makes even the most nervous beginner feel comfortable and supported; really improve their dancing abilities; and have tons of fun! He and his staff create a professional, warm, friendly and creative atmosphere for their students...whether it's at salsa and hustle classes (my faves) or at their creative dance parties that are a blast! So, come on down...I know you won't be disappointed! (You'll also love the music selections in class because of Nathan's additional dj-ing services.) --"A Very Happy Customer"
