Reassuring jeweler

My fiance bought my ring in another country. Which meant he got the perfect stone, but also meant it was super difficult to take back for resizing.

In fact, the ring has so much detail that Carl first suggested that we take it back to the place of purchase and exchange it for a smaller fit. Then I told him why I couldn't do that since it would take an entire trip and airline ticket to do so.

So Carl commenced work.

When I picked it up a week later, it was PERFECT.

I was hesitant to leave the ring. In fact I had made an appt to have it resized in front of me because I know of true stories where stones were switched. Due to the amount of work, I had to leave it but this was the first place I felt comfortable doing so.

I had also visited about 4 other brand name retail jewelry stores in NYC and never felt comfortable enough with the staffs' knowledge. As soon as I met Carl I felt he knew what he was talking about.

From beginning to end I felt completely reassured and am thrilled with the outcome.

Fantastic Jeweler

I recently inherited my great-grandmother's engagement ring and the antique setting needed a significant restoration. I carefully researched jewelers in New York and as soon as I set foot in Greenwich Jewelers I knew I had picked the right place. Carl Gandia understood what an important piece of jewelry this is to me and my family and took a lot of time to discuss the options. I wasn't sure it was possible to restore the ring to what it looked like 90 years ago, but Carl was very happy to do it. I just picked it up and I'm overjoyed with how it turned out. Greenwich Jewelers is now "my" jeweler. I will definitely return to make purchases and have other pieces worked on.

A Great Family Jeweler

I've had the pleasure of knowing the Gandia family for over a year and they are truly the best jewelers in the city. When so many claim to be family jewelers, Carl, Milly, Jennifer and Christina at Greenwich Jewelers delivers on that promise. The bare minimum you'll receive from this family is exceptional customer service, and a great value. I can't recommend them highly enough

engagment ring shopping - fun, friendly and personal.

I usually get a little suspicious when every review is 5 stars, but now I?ve been to Greenwich Jewelers I now realize why. I recently purchased an engagement ring there. It was by far the most relaxed, most personal and most enjoyable experience I had shopping for an engagement ring for my fiancee. Firstly you decide on a diamond. They have a great selection of loose diamonds in store, but if you want something specific they will bring in a selection for you to choose from with no commitment. They also have a wide variety of settings to choose from, but I wanted something a little different, so I describe what I wanted and they got it hand made. I was a little worried as I wasn?t 100% sure if my description was accurate, but when the ring turned up I couldn?t have been happier (and neither could my fiancee ? which is obviously the most important). Christina was so helpful and seemed to know exactly what I wanted. She also appraised the ring and sent it to the insurance company before I picked it up so it was insured when I left the shop. They also offer life time cleaning and servicing. Price wise I found it over 30% cheaper than Tiffany?s and it was a custom setting that I helped design, so no one else will have it. The whole experience was just so much more personal than any other shop I?ve been in.

I can not say enough great things about Greenwich Jewelers. I recently purchased my fiancee's engagement there and the service I received was outstanding. Christina, one of the owners, worked with me to find the exact setting and stone that I was looking for. I had something unique in mind and she found and brought in a setting that matched my description exactly. Of all of the jewelers I visited, this was the friendliest and most low-stress. They truly go out of their way to create the perfect ring for you and they do so while respecting your budget and being perfectly forthright and honest. Not to mention, the selection of engagement rings at Greenwich Jewelers was excellent and they had many beautiful styles that I didn't see anywhere else. I know that I'll be back to purchase our wedding bands there and that I'll send my friends and family their way.

I cannot recommend Greenwich Jewelers highly enough. They go out of their way to make an otherwise stressful process easy, enjoyable and very satisfying!

Only jeweler in NYC I trust for repairs

I have been taking pieces for repair here as long as they have been on Trinity Place. Even though I am no longer in the neighborhood regularly, I will make a special trip if I need anything more complicated than a watch battery change. They are helpful, reliable and nice people.

Fantastic Experience...Beautiful Jewellery

I had a ring redesigned into a necklace for my girlfriend and it turned out wonderful. Everyone there was very nice and professional. The jeweler really listened to what I wanted done and the necklace turned out exactly how I wanted it. It was great and my girlfriend loved it. I highly recommend Grenwich Jewelers!

Greenwich Jewelers marries great craft and expertise and knowledgeable advice with professional and friendly customer service from a family-owned business. They've done an amazing job helping us with estate jewelry (restoring, resetting, redesigning, updating, resizing, cleaning, appraising) as well as new pieces. A rare find.

Ten Stars! Great place for engagement rings.

When my boyfriend, now fiance, popped the question a couple weeks ago, he astounded me with a ring that could not have been more perfect for me. It was a combination of old and new raw material, and he nailed it! My fiance admits that the process would've been daunting had he not found Greenwich Jewelers. He cannot stop raving about the family-owned and operated store. The jeweler he worked with, Christina, was very knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and attentive. There was never any pressure. He got great advice and guidance when he needed it. It was overall an excellent experience. Since the engagement, much to our surprise and delight, we learned that several of our friends also went to Greenwich Jewelers for engagement and/or wedding rings. Everyone has only positive things to say about the customer service.

I have since met the folks at Greenwich Jewelers (I've gone twice now) and can personally attest to the friendly, non-intimidating, anti-stuffy atmosphere, and to the superb customer service. I would also add that whoever buys for this store has a great eye. I saw lots of fresh and modern designs of jewelry that appealed to me, but I also saw items that my mom and grandmother would appreciate. A wonderful place.

Customer service at its finest!!!

While visiting my mum in NYC, I noticed that the stone in my engagement ring was loose. I didn't want to wait until returning home to have it fixed, however as a NY'er I didn't trust leaving my ring in the hands of a total stranger. A friend recommended Greenwich Jewelers and I can't than her or them enough!

While my regular jeweler insisted that I'd have to leave the ring over night, Carl Gandia allowed me to watch as the 5 minute resetting procedure took place. He even permitted my little boy to site with me to watch.

I felt that my needs were most important from the time I set food in Greenwich Jewelers to the moment I left. I appreciated the service so much that I will make a point to stop in to have my rings looked at each time I'm in the city.

I'd recommend them to anyone.
