I chose R&J from these ratings a long time ago before I moved to NY...and I'm relieved that they're all true. I seriously feel silly when I see my tech because I hardly know her but I love her for doing such a perfect job and fixing something that used to cause me so much anguish and embarrassment. And yes their entire staff is always lovely! Im def telling my friends/family. What more can one say? When I'm a scientist in 2 yrs scuba diving for research I'll so be able to take off the wetsuit on the boat and relax in a bathing suit.

Pros: the whole staff, experience, results, excellence, location, flexibility

Romeo and Juliette is fantastic. I've had terrible experiences at other salons, where a "free consultation" is simply a visit with a salesperson trying to see how high they can run up the bill (from spas to board certified dermatologists). At R&J they took the time to answer all of my questions, gave me a realistic idea of how much hair could be removed, and didn't pressure me at all to put down any money. Their business ethic is fantastic. I felt absolutely comfortable and well looked after. If you're at all apprehensive about getting hair removed, definitely get a consultation at R&J. UPDATE: I've had two treatments now, and I don't even recognize my own skin. I've had thick, black, coarse hair all over my face since I was 14, and now it's practically gone! I can't begin to imagine how this is possible. All I'll say is that Chris is the absolute tops, and the front desk staff is always incredibly friendly, helpful, and professional. I've never thought hair removal could be a pleasant process, but I actually get excited about going to Romeo and Juliette, not just because they're wonderful people, but because I look AMAZING!

I come to New York frequently and on one of my stays I decided to have a laser treatment. A friend of mine recommended Romeo & Juliette. During my initial consultation, I received information that was far superior and in detail than the other consultations I went to. I had never expected to receive such technical and thorough information. My best friend is going there and is very happy but I still wanted to check out other places. However, Romeo & Juliette blew past all the others. Having my legs, bikini and underarms lasered, I feel that I made the right choice. The areas treated were red for one day but afterwards everything cleared and on my bikini area in particular, the results are incredible. Check it out . Worth the trip from London .

Pros: Cheerful staff, thorough, lots of lasers

Cons: Appointment will make your life easy.

I have been going to R & J for about 6 months and have been very pleased. I found out about it on CitySearch after I got tired of waxing and threading. Despite the few negative comments posted I decided to come anyway to decide for myself and I am very happy that I did! I have no idea why those negative comments were posted as I have not found them to be true. The treatment works and the staff is professional and caring (Angela and Chris are great). I was a little nervous at first as I am an African-American and my skin hyperpigments (dark spots/scars) very easily. I tried electrolysis and tweezing before and ended up with dark spots. Chris and his staff knew just what approach to take and mentioned the different approach necessary with darker skin to avoid hyperpigmentation. I have recommended my friends to R & J and they too have been pleased. It's nice to be able to exhale and no longer have hair growing agressively in unattractive places. I will continue to recommend R & J as well as service other areas of my body given the confidence I've developed in R & J due to the success of my first experience. Keep up the good work and service.

Pros: Staff, Knowledge, Personable

Cons: Elevator in the building is slow and small

I have been going for laser hair removal to various facilities but my results were far from good. I discovered Romeo & Juliette through a friend of mine who has had excellent results. I have been going there for about 6 months now and most of the hair on my back is now gone. There is some left that is quite fine. Chris is very caring and knows his stuff. The staff is very good but I would try to stick with the senior technicians. Overall, an excellent facility and great value for the money.

Pros: Very fast lasers, good service, great prices

Cons: Very busy

Great office. Great location. However they seem to be pretty expensive compared to any other clinic in the area, and their treatments and equipment is - although good - not that different than many competitors, in some cases even older than some other clinics within the same area. Just don't see a reason to pay that much for the same car in a different dealer.

Cons: Expensive, overcrowded

I have not been to Romeo and Juliette, but I have talked to Chris, who is incredibly helpful and informative. I've been shoping around for the best quality and price for a couple of months -- a daunting task if you don't know what to look for because most places will tell you their laser's will work great on you, without even asking about your skin and hair color! I decided to go with a place in California, for logistics -- but I will definitley keep Romeo and Juliette in mind when I move permanatly to the New York area. Like I said, I've never been inside, but the phone call alone blew their competition away. Chris even invited me to call him back if I found another place and he would advise me on their lasers, which I did and he fully endorsed my pick by explaining their lasers even better than they did-- What service -- I'm not even his customer!! It seems to me they are interested in quality work and not just the money. -- Highly Recmmended!

I flew to a tropical island and enjoyed the sunshine! Sounds like a simple thing, but it is something I would not have felt comfortable doing with excess facial hair. Thank goodness I have been going for treatments at R&J. My face feels like it did before I was diagnosed with PCOS and suffered from a hormonal imbalance. I was afraid that the lasers might change the texture of your skin, but the techs are very skilled, so after a treatment I only have temporary redness and a tiny bit of swelling. I am always pleased with my results. The owner is very understanding and the prices are affordable. The staff are very friendly, so much so that sometimes I chit chat with them while I wait for my treatment. Speaking of waiting, the wait is never very long. I suggest scheduling an appointment in advance, but if you need a treatment ASAP, they will work with you. Needless to say, they are very accomodating. I highly recommend R&J!

very convenient location, great clinic, courteous and hepful staff (provided all the information and confort level a first timer like me needed to have) and best of all, 5 quick visits later my undesired hair was gone forever. thank you chris and your staff for taking such good care of me. roberto

Had my bikini lasered. Betty was great. She really took her time and also gave me a price that was really unbelieveable. I also received a free cleanup but I had to sign up for a series of treatments. Since I was recommended by my friend who was quite happy, I went for it. so far, so good. Most of my hairs shed and the area is virtually without hair. I am looking forward to my second treatment.

Pros: Thumbs up !!!

Cons: No concerns, just overall great.
