First Class
by RKLux
I've been seeing Dr. Alper for about 3 years. Everyone is attentive, polite and well spoken. I am seen on time, and I appreciate that Alper and his staff respect my time. He never did any fillings on me, but every time I go, he looks very hard for them with his microscope glasses. My girlfriend had a filling and she said it was painless. Sarah, the hygienist is super thorough, and very sweet. I highly recommend this dental office. Its a sleek and casual yet professional; It makes you forget you are at the dentist.
Extremely impressed!
by AymericB
Visited Dr Alper's office as he was recommended by a friend and I was really impressed!
As soon as I walked in I got a really good impression. Starting with the modern atmosphere and decor of the place to the friendliness of everyone in the office.
Let me start by saying that I am normally uncomfortable about going to the dentist and it had been years since I had been but Dr Alper was really nice, gentle and extremely knowledgeable. I really liked that he took his time explaining everything in detail with the help of technologically advanced tools such as high definition videos and photos displayed on a monitor for me to follow along. The follow up treatments were great and painless and Dr Alper managed to get rid of my fear of dentists all together!
This dentist was top notch along with all the equipment he used.
I would recommend this office to any of my friends in a heart beat... I just loved it!
Best dentist I have ever been to! Highly recommended!
Dentist Approved

Dr. Alper has been my dentist for a couple of years. His practice is very relaxed and welcoming. The hygienist, Sarah does an great job. She is detailed, efficient and gentle.
More importantly, my brother who is a dentist and a dental school professor in San Francisco looked at a crown Dr. Alper did for me (because he is curious about that stuff) and said it was "Excellent". He also said that after seeing the quality of the crown, he would refer any of his patients moving to NYC to Dr. Alper. I trust my brothers opinion.
They take insurance, but I usually have a co-pay. Its not much, but more than some of my co-workers with the same plan that go to different dentists. If you ask, the receptionist seems happy enough to tell you how much before your appointment.
Casual, Professional, Efficient, Painless...Pleasant.

No one loves going to the dentist - especially not me. But Dr. Alper has made it a pretty good experience. The staff is smart and customer-service oriented. As long as I have been going there, he was always on time... something I cant say for any of my other doctors. As others noted, Sarah (the hygienist) is thorough. Dr. Alper is also thorough in his exam and was painless when filling cavities. I definitely recommend this office to my friends and colleagues. I also appreciate his and his staff's casual professionalism. The office is very clean and well designed, and I would bet its the only dentist office with a Jacob Kassay on the walls, among some other very interesting pieces of art - the only doctors office where I wouldn't mind waiting in the reception. I think Dr. Alper and his staff deserve much credit for making visits to the dentist almost pleasurable.
Painless visit...

I was advised to see Dr. Alper after a friend had recommended me to him. After months of seeing a periodontist, my problem was fixed with one visit to Dr. Alper's office. Not only did I save money I was treated with the utmost care and respect from his efficient and friendly team. Sarah and Patrick put me at ease while communicating with me every step they were taking. I couldn't have had a more pleasurable experience. I advise anyone who likes efficiency and professionalism to schedule an appointment with Dr. Alper and his team.
Lies- said I had cavity and did not!!!!!!
by labatt141
Hi- I went to Dr Alper for years- the last time I felt curious to the outcome of my appt. He said I needed a procedure done that would cost me, after insurance- $1300. He said that if I did not get this done, then it would just cost me more in the long run. I was hesitant, said I would call back to make an appt. In the lag time I made an appt at my boyfriend’s dentist. They had ZERO records from Dr Alper and just gave me a typical check-up and GUESS WHAT- my teeth were perfect. The doctor said he hasn’t seen a healthy mouth like mine in years!!! DR ALPER IS A RIP OFF!!!!!!!! It makes me wonder if he has been ripping me off for the entire time- I bet!
Best, Most Up-to-Date Dentist and Office Operation in NYC
by elengstrom
I had to see Dr. Alper for another major tooth problem this week and, once again, I walked away amazed. Dr. Alper and his staff use the latest in proven technology in almost every aspect of their operation. It's amazing to experience: almost no discomfort, extremely efficient and exquisite results.
Having had a dental "accident" as a child 40 years ago, I had developed an irrational dislike of going to the dentist. Those days are over!
If don't write many recommendations, but took the time to write this to let everyone know that this shop is a class act that provides top level care with excellent patient support.
Painless Novocaine Machine
by markbuff
I have gone to Dr. Alpers for a few years. Today I had my 3rd filling with him. He used this machine that got my tooth totally numb without a needle. He said there was a needle, but I didn't see one, and I didn't feel one. The best thing (other than no needle) was that my whole face wasn't numb for hours after. Anyway the office staff is super nice, and the dental hygienist is really nice and good. I also like that I am seen at my appointment time. Everything is so organized and efficient - like a Swiss watch. I think its a little more than other dentist, if you are busy and dont like needles hes a really good dentist.
- Pros: Novocaine without needles
- Cons: Co-pay in addition to my insurance.
Excellent Quality, Professional Service
by JMillar
My husband and I both see Dr. Alper. His office is always running on-time, which means we don?t have to sit in the waiting room forever, nor do we have to sit in the chair waiting either. Everything he has done on my husband looks great. I haven?t had any dental work myself. My husband says that everything feels great too. The quality of his work is excellent. The office is very efficient, clean and friendly. I always recommend him to my friends. It?s more expensive, but definitely worth it.
- Pros: Excellent work, On-time, Nice Staff.
- Cons: Expensive. Fee for same day cancellation.
Best dentist south of 42nd street!
by bryanstendahl
I came across Dr. Alper in a magazine, I was looking for a new dentst and found what I saw appealing so I went. I had been referred to several dentists in the city by friends and they all turned out to be disasters! The second I walked into his office I knew this was it: a modern setting, Heather behind the desk (is amazing!) and efficiency all around. On the down side the hygenist I had a year ago was a bit gruff and the cleaning less than par BUT the hygenist I had in April 2007 was one of the best I have had in New York in 12 years.
As far as Dr. Alper, he is a great dentist. He looks at whats going on and tells you like it is and fixes it. What more could you ask for? He is gentle and thorough and sensitive to pain. Anyone who says otherwise did not speak up when or if they felt discomfort. The man is not a mind reader, but he is a professional and works efficiently and thoroughly. He may not joke around and spend time with small talk but at the end of the day insurance doesn't cover small talk.
Thank you Dr. Alper!
PS: It doesn't hurt that he is absolutely adorable!!!!!!
- Pros: Chair side manner
