Bounced the night of the World Series for "family"

The night the Yankees won the World Series, we were kicked out of the private room at 40/40 in the end of the 2nd inning. We were strong armed out of the private room to make room for “family.” We were happily enjoying one of the biggest nights in baseball and eating dinner when people aggressively busted in the room claiming to be “family” and told us to get out now. Assuming there was some confusion, my friend approached the both the manager and general manager about the situation and he confirmed they were 2nd rate to the “family.” They offered a bench in the main bar area as a consolation which would only seat 4! When we clearly refused, security came in and yanked our food from under us! When we still refused to leave, they pulled the cable in the room for 20 minutes. Last time I checked, 40/40 was a business not Jay-Z’s apartment but I guess 40/40 operates like he makes the Yankee’s hat more famous than a Yankee can.

• Pros: the bouncers are quite intimidating
• Cons: my money wasn't green here...

SUPER EXPERIENCE

I WAS GREETED AT HE DOOR, I WAS GIVEN THE BEST FOOD I'VE EVER TASTED, I WAS TREATED LIKE A SUPERSTAR AND I WAS SPOKEN TO WHEN LEAVING, "GOODNIGHT MISS"!!

THE SERVER'S ARE PLEASANT, THE SECURITY IS NICE!!! WHAT MORE CAN U ASK FOR!! I AM FROM LONDON!!! IT WAS SUPER!!!!

Great place to get F*ked

unacceptabe and embrassing to the neighborhood, industry and community. Rude security, Pushy waitress and before that a body search that should have started after the party. This is not the place to be!

Trust me, I used to work for this place. And nobody is leaving a nice comment because I've seen every customer leave very dissapointed as if there night was ruined. I eventually quit after realizing that these sorry managers really do not care about customers, employees or anyone they will make the servers try to force you to buy $300 - 500 bottles before you even walk in to see what the place is all about. So whoever the liar was that left those comments please stop lying to these people you know that club is trash.

• Pros: Never Ever a line cause no one is trying to party there
• Cons: stalker servers who annoy for you before you even get in

My 40/40 Club Party

This past weekend I celebrated my birthday at the 40/40 club with 8 of my closest friends. We had the greatest time! The food we ordered (mini sliders and French fries) were cooked to perfection and the service was impeccable. We listened to such good music provided by an awesome DJ! We really danced the night away. I wanted an assortment of drinks for my friends and I, and the club made that possible. We were fully supplied for the night, and I didn't have to worry about being charged for uncover fees. I payed for exactly what I ordered and received so much more in return. The facilities were so clean and the club was busy and hopping but not overcrowded. I was so happy to be celebrating my big birthday in such an exciting atmosphere. I plan on going back there for my next birthday!

• Pros: The best entertainment and service in town!

Great Service, Great food and its owned by Jay Z

i recently attended this club for a Laker game, and what a surprise. Not only did I have a great meal, good service and listen to my favorite team. After the game it transformed into a night club and my crew and I partied all night long!!! this is what i call a one stop shop for all your needs.

• Pros: great food, great drinks and the sound for the Laker game
• Cons: very crowded

I ENJOYED MYSELF TO THE FULLEST THE WEEKEND I WENT OUT. I WENT OUT WITH A COUPLE OF MY BOYS HAD BOTTLE SERVICE AND GOT SIPPY THE WHOLE NIGHT. IT WAS GREAT. I WOULD MOS DEF GO AGAIN.

GREAT SERVICE

I did bottle service for my girlfriends and I this past weekend. The person in Sales was great- went above and beyond to answer my numerous questions! When my friends and I arrived we were treated like VIP- the bouncers, wait staff and management were friendly and willing to help. The music was the perfect for the night I was looking for- "I just want to dance!". I was a little hesitant when reading the reviews, but it did not justify the club at all! Great music, perfect location, controlled crowd, AND amazing service. I definitely recommend this club!!

Disgusted !

I had the opportunity to visit the 40/40 last night and must say that I was disgusted with the entire experience. The lounge was hot, stinky and filled with Jay Z and Beyonce wannabe's. The woman looked cheesy and the men looked like they borrowed suits to come out and party. The bathroom was FILTHY!. There was urine all over the floor in the stall that I used.

The drinks OVERPRICED and were watered down. Our waitress took at least 40 minutes to bring out 3 drinks and still got the order wrong : -( not to mention that EVERY order was charged separately and included a 20% tip.

I am sure that Jay Z and Beyonce do not party in conditions like this or maybe they do but I know I DONT WANT TO ! If I am putting out my money, I want it to be worth it !

The DJ was just OKAY. Everyone seemed to be extremely hyped when Jay Z songs were played ??? Yes I agree Jay Z's music is cool and he is gifted as an artist but 40/40 is a nightclub ! If I want to see or hear Jay, I can pull out my CD's or watch the ENCORE Concert on video :-)

• Pros: No Line & Bouncers Were Extremely Pleasant.
• Cons: Everything Else Including That NEW $ Cover Charge !
