Too Busy for Customer Service
05/11/2006 Posted by mvs2107
I had an appointment with 1 stylist. After she did some work, another client came for her; I was thrown to another stylist. Then a client came for stylist 2; I was given to stylist 3, who then handed me to stylist 4 for blowdrying. I wanted to get some moisture out of my hair so I could see the color, but I wasn't allowed to dry it myself and no one informed me I'd be charged. The service was very impersonal. I was barely spoken to & after stylist 1, I didn't know anyone's name. When I paid, stylist 1 ran over; however, since she had another client, I couldn't tell her my dislikes. I have never been to a salon where my stylist didn't sit me in front of a mirror to consult. When I left, I went to another salon for consultation on what I didn't like.

Team Work And Salon Policy
Posted on 05/15/2006
It is always unfortunate when we hear that one of our clients is unhappy. Our salon works as a team. We have a support staff that helps us with shampooing, and various other things. We also do team consults when special circumstances arise. I doubt all four of our stylists were involved, since they had their own clients. I remember coming over to help with the consult in front of a mirror. She had a color done at another salon and hated it. We did the color and it turned out just as expected. When she wanted to blow dry her own hair, I let her know we didn't allow self drying at our salon. We have a small salon and cannot accommodate self blow drying, it's been our policy for five years. We also feel it's unprofessional to be watching as our clients blow dry their own hair. We would have been very willing to fine tune her color if we knew she had some sort of issue with it. Since she left without saying anything, we had no idea. We stand by our policy.
