calls himself a doctor but is really a sleazy used car salesman trying to sell the most expensive glasses

Pros: you won't go blind (probably)

Cons: rip-off

Beware Dr. Goldstein's return policy. I got my first glasses from him years ago but have always been uncertain I had the best prescription. I didn't know for sure. After I got my most recent prescription filled, I felt I needed a second opinion to see if I could do better. I got a much better prescription for me. The "second opinion" prescription isn't vastly different, but it is easier on my eyes when viewing a monitor. A reasonable person would think that I would be able to return the glasses to the doctor who got it wrong and order from the doctor who got it right. But Dr. Goldstein insists on replacing the glasses, not even allowing store credit for me to buy other things like sunglasses or contacts. I think this is very shady. I don't think he ever would have gotten it right without my having gone somewhere else because he is not very good at listening. I had been very clear that my primary objective was absolute clarity when staring at a computer screen, not bionic vision to the next solar system. Still, Dr. Goldstein kept trying to put me in a stronger distance prescription and paid too little attention to my astigmatism correction. So, in short, beware. I no longer have any trust in this man's service or integrity. If you get it wrong and the customer wants to go elsewhere, good business sense says you should let them go.

Pros: None come to mind

Cons: Shady return policy

I have been going to Dr. Goldstein for several years. He has always been accommodating, reasonable and his staff is super friendly. Recently I had a problem with my lenses. He had to change them in the middle of the year. He did this for me with no additional charge. I use mono vision lenses and am not a simple customer. My eyes are very sensitive. I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a thorough eye exam with personal attention to your needs.

I went to see Dr Goldstein because my eyes were dry and irritated from my contact lenses. My vision also was not that great. Dr Goldstein sat me down, put me through a high tech thorough eye exam and explained my eye condition, my options and the costs involved. I feld he was open, accessable, honest and very friendly. We decided on a new type of lens for "dry eye" with a monthly replacement. These are simply the most comfortable, and clearest lenses that I have ever worn. And they were quite reasonable. I highly recommend this office to my friends.

Pros: Great friendly eye doc- high tech eye exam

Cons: none

Dr. Goldstein comes off as friendly and professional, but in actuality he is a law breaking, snake. I went in for an exam and upon completion was told my contacts would be over $200 and being a lense wearing for over 20 years I knew something was fishy as I always pay $100 a pair. So I asked for my prescription so I could order the lenses myself through 1800-contacts where the exact same lenses cost $90 as I later found out! Dr. Goldstein refused to give me my prescrition which is a breach of the law passed in February 2004, The Fairness to Contact Lens Consumers Act stating that eye doctors are legally bound to give you your prescription upon request. I had not known of the law at the time of my encounter with Dr. Goldstein and paid him $225 for the lenses as I was in a bind and needed them. After learning the law and calling to discuss it with him, he did not call me back and when he finally did would not work with me at all and kept talking in circles to avoid the law and ended up hanging up on me. He inflates the cost of lenses to the patients when as an eye doctor part of his good care should be getting patients contacts at the fair market value. And no follow-up visits are actaully free as he states since the up-charge in the contact lenses covers the appointment. I do not recommend seeing him unless you want to be ripped off!

Dr. Golstein had an incredible selection of contact lenses on hand, which made fitting quick and easy. He was thorough and friendly. His office staff, however were less than helpful. He's still the best eye doctors I've ever been to.

I found the service here to be unattentive and unhelpful. Instead of being concerned for the patient's eyecare and health, this store seems more concerned with the bottom line. If you want great glasses and great service, don't come here!!

I only went to get glasses. The salesperson was wonderful. She pulled out all different styles of glasses and wasn't afraid to say, No honey. I have never had an easier time finding glasses and doubt I will ever go anywhere else.

Pros: fabulous staff, great variety
