By the time I visited Esprit Wellness, I had suffered with years of neck and back pain. I had been visiting another medical office where I would have limited chiropractic adjustments, physical therapy and trigger point injections. I was prescribed with a strong medication for arthritis which I avoided taking. That office also referred me for a back surgery consultation and I was leery of that recommendation. Then, a coworker recommended Esprit Wellness to me. From my first visit there, I started to feel an improvement in my condition. The office setting is peaceful and inviting. Dr. Sid and the therapists gave me individual attention and skillful care. I like to learn and understand and Dr. Sid patiently answered my questions and shared his knowledge on ways to improve my back, neck and overall health. He customized the treatment for me and provided effective ways to treat my condition without trigger point injections or other prescriptions. Dr. Sid continues to research and stays on the cutting edge of his field, thus offering his patients the best in care. He has used several methods and tools and exercises to improve my situation. I have experienced a great decrease in my neck and back pain since I have been visiting Esprit Wellness on a regular basis. I do not need back surgery and I now feel better than ever. I highly recommend Dr. Sid and his staff.

Pros: Ambience, Personal Attention, Cutting Edge Techniques

Dr. Sid and his staff at Esprit Wellness are without equal. They are polite, consultative and highly creative; they care about your health. I've had major back and neck problems and have visited a number of different chiropractors in the city; they all rushed me in and out. I was not a valued patient and did not feel better or make improvements. Thus, I gave up on chiropractors. But luckily, my pal Rob, a top triahlete in the world, recommended Dr. Sid. Thankfully I took Rob's advice. I am very glad that I found Dr. Sid. His techniques have helped put the curve back in my neck and have helped me feel better overall. I'm hooked. I feel a lot better and owe a lot to Dr. Sid for helping me understand my physical health. Visit Dr. Sid and his staff. I guarantee that you will feel much better.

Pros: the best chiropractor around

Cons: none

I've had a shoulder impingement on my right side for about 8 years, during which I moaned a lot about it but didn't do much to solve it. I think I overdid it doing shoulder presses at the gym and was in pain ever since. It limited my range of motion terribly - couldn't hold doors open for people or reach into the back seat of my car - every exertion made it ache, and sometimes keep me up at night. I couldn't even touch my hands behind my back. I had done some periodic exercizes and occasional therapy, but nothing on a consistant basis. So, Dr. Sid started Active Release Techniques (ART) on me three times a week for the first few weeks, along with a brief targeted massage, a rest in a wonderful massage chair, and a chiropractic adjustment. Anyway, after doing the ART, I quickly noticed improved range of motion and less pain. We started out 3 times a week for a few weeks, then twice a week for a few weeks, now I'm down to once a week. The sessions are pretty tough, - think big tight pinching in very specific spots- but it's over quickly and the benefits are almost instant. My trainer at the gym has me doing increasingly challanging shoulder exercizes and I'm feeling stonger with no pain. From the world's biggest skeptic, Dr. Sid has won a convert. He is Magic! Highly recommended & would recommend friends & family. Thanks Dr. Sid!!

Pros: ART, nice massage therapists, seductive massage chairs, zenlike atmosphere

i went to see Dr. Sid on a recommendation from a friend and i'm so glad i did. after experiencing months of back pain and and trying other doctors and physical therapy and everything else and getting no relief, i'm finally better! dr. sid was very thorough, explained everything to me and came up with a realistic and incredibly helpful treatment plan. i felt better after just one session! the office is serene and state of the art, and i feel like i'm in very good hands when i'm there. not to mention.. the massage before his adjustment is amazing and relaxing. i have recommended dr. sid to everyone i know and feel luck for having found him!

I was fortunate to meet Dr. Sid one evening at the gym. As an Ironman triathlete years of swimming was starting to seriously affect my left shoulder. My own research seemed to indicate the popular “swimmers shoulder” syndrome and I was at a point where I couldn’t get through a swim session without considerable pain followed by discomfort days later. I was starting to convince myself that swimming 3 times a week just wouldn’t be an option anymore. Then I learned about Active Release, a therapy which breaks-up accumulated scar tissue, restores functional movement, and has an excellent success rate. I knew I needed the treatment but was always either too busy or had some other excuse why I couldn’t schedule an appointment. I’m certainly glad that I went to see Dr. Sid because through his Active Release sessions I’m back in the pool again with little if any discomfort and with each session my shoulder continues to improve. I am so relieved that Dr. Sid has been able to correct years of accumulated damage and continue something I enjoy. Once again I’m able to lift weights and do other excercises like push-ups which used to hurt. Dr. Sid also made me aware of the causes for some other neck and back issues I was having and through his adjustments I’m feeling stronger and healthier overall. Dr. Sid is passionate about his practice and completely client focused. Also, the spa like environment feels like a treat to visit his office.

Pros: Great office, Client Focused, Very Thorough

At Esprit Wellness, the amiable "Dr. Sid" wields his experience and expertise (see above two reviews) in a peaceful, beautiful space that feels more like a spa than a medical office. As a physically active, full-time Yoga teacher, city cyclist, scooter commuter, and mother of an active boy, I find I always feel stronger, more relaxed, knots and tensions eased, when I've received an adjustment from Dr. Sid. He strongly believes in education, and his medical massage therapists are great, too. My personal half-hour "spa" in the midst of a busy workday or week is going there to get an adjustment, whether for a pain or tightness or just for fatigue or to boost my immunity during a busy period - and then reclining in one of their luxurious, full-length massage chairs in the quiet, soothing room that provides a resting space before or after your adjustment. My favorite program is the: Acupressure. The AM and PM programs are great, too - anytime! Take your time over several visits to try them all! The atmosphere of the tastefully appointed space, the staff, and Dr. Sid are a welcome oasis of serenity dedicated to natural healing and sensibly backed by experience and knowledge, right in midtown.

Pros: Ambience, Dr. Sid's Professionalism and Personableness, Massage Chairs, Massage Therapists.

Cons: Most, but not all, insurance plans are accepted.

I had met Dr. Sid through a friend of a friend who recommended him when I told them I was experiencing some back pain and was diagnosed with a slight case of scoliosis early in my childhood. From the moment I stepped into the wellness center, I began to feel very relaxed. At first he spoke to me, talked about everything I was experiencing with my pain and running down my history. After explaining alot of what he does and taking some x-rays, he explained to me full detail how the curve in my spine effected some of the other areas of my body which could be resulting in my pain. As A kid I never even really knew what scoliosis meant but he really made me understand what was going on. He also was not quick at all to have me wear a brace which many other doctors are quick to recommend. After a series of chiropractic procedures, Dr Sid showed me how he could help remedy my situation and I immediatley began to feel better in my back after performing these exercises. I can not wait to begin seeing him on a regular basis to reliveve my back pain in the future. Dr. Sid is also very patient and really has a way of making his patients understand and feel comfortable. Thanks!

Pros: Knowledgeable, Trusting, Honest, Explains well

I met Dr. Sid at my gym. I had been having pain in my elbow that was really interfering with my weight lifting. He talked with me about Active Release Technique, a hands on therapy to break up the scar tissue and "stuff" (highly technical and really needs to be explained by him!). He is also a chiropractor, but if you have been to one before, be prepared for a totally new experience. His office is amazing! Calming, peaceful, zen-like. The tables for the chiro work are right out in the open...no rabbit warren of adjustment rooms. You start out in one of the cool, really effective massage chairs, then move to a therapy room for a mini-therapeutic massage...really good hands on hand! Dr. Sid's chiro adjustments are effective and delivered always with humor! The ART has been amazingly successful for me. After having to drop my lifting weight dramatically due to the pain, I am now (in less than three months) back to lifting more (pain free) than when I started the therapy. Thanks, Dr. Sid!

Pros: Treatment effectiveness; full service; ambience; chiro you look forward to!

Cons: None!

I recently gave birth to my first child! Throughout my pregnancy I experienced much discomfort - nausea, headaches, low back & pelvic pain, and front thigh numbness and tingling. My baby was also in breech position until the 36th week. I am grateful I was referred to Dr. Aatif Siddiqui ("Dr. Sid") for drugless, non-noninvasive, alternative care. I really enjoyed my care under Dr. Sid. I found him to be very proficient in the special needs of pregnant women and familiar with the common complaints associated with each stage of pregnancy. I loved how he took the time to educate me on matters that were a concern to me - lower back pain, pelvis pain, nutrition. Dr. Sid also uses state-of-art equipment and procedures designed specifically for pregnant women. He holds post doctorate education in pre/post natal care, pediatrics, and scoliosis (for children). He is also certified in Webster Technique. A technique employed on pregnant moms whose baby presents breech. I experienced this technique to be a gentle adjustment that focused on the alignment of my pelvis, sacrum, pubic bone, and attachment of my uterine ligament. I continue to see Dr. Sid for my post-natal care. He has been helpful in alleviating the pain and discomfort in my shoulders as a result of my breastfeeding. He is using Active Release Techniques on me. And, I love it! All in all I felt very safe and relieved I found Dr. Sid at a time when I was in great need of responsible, natural, and effective pre-natal chiropractic care. I highly encourage him. BTW he too is a recent daddy which makes him that much more understanding and knowledgeable in my eyes.
