A great Halloween for all
by Red Doug
I was there from 10pm till it closed, and it was off the hook, I only got off the dance floor once. My freinds were lovin the Djs, Doug rocked it early and Kaz dropped us off the planet with his beats rocking. Playing everything between them on the planet, English Spanish, whatever it was crazy. The effects of the strobes with the fog created a crazy effect, I went on Friday and it was a different place on Saturday, it was transformed. I was dancing on both days, and it was fun. I am going back, I have to, it was off the hook. I told everyone I knew that they have to come with me next week. I will be the one in the middle of the dance floor. Dj Dougie Redzone and Dj Kaz was blazin, not just hip hop, not just R&B, not just Dance, reggae-ton or latin, they blazed it all. I have to recomend these new people to everyone. The staff kept the drinks flowing and the had drink specials all night. I need to check out their after work parties, heard they were cool too. So come celebrate with us. Those waitresses are off the hook cute, and kept us laughing all night. My freinds were in love with the bartenders. Well, just make mine K Lounge, my new home.
- Pros: The smoke machine, the strobe lights, the people
- Cons: they closed at 3:45am
A great place for Afterwork
by Dougie Santana
This club-lounge is off the Hook on Friday, it started off smooth, and the Dj knew all the music, House, Hip hop, Latin, Reggae, Reggaeton, even knew African, Brazilian, not to mention Greek and Jewish favorites and played it for us. The appetizers were very tastee, during the Happy Hour, the music was surene, and caught myself singing along. The sound guy was working to get even sharper tones for that night and it was enough to stay and see what was going on. Ashanti was there, Nelly was there, Tachina Arnold was there and of course Ja Rule came through. Been here during the summer and this was Ashanti's place and Dj Kass and Dougie was keeping the dancefloor packed and heads bopping. Even Orlando Bloom said that he wished he had the Dj from K at his event. The servers are cute and quick, but watch some drinks, they will twist u out. The ladies are getting more hot, the guys are dressing better. The place is the next New Spot to be at, So dont listen to the haters on here, listen to me, it is growing to be a hot spot and now coming into its own. So since I am now becoming a regular, I can tell you the place is getting better each time I go. Even Jeff Scott Saturdays is getting better, so come and hear the best little secret in town, that is now having Fashion shows and even has Thursdays afterwork Jazz before becoming a club later on. First club that plays all the hotness, and tip the Dj for your favorite song and they play it. Make K Lounge mine, and cant wait till they open downstairs on the weekend, to make the club 2 floors. You need to check it out and I will buy you drink.

- Pros: Great Drinks, food is good, Dj is off the hook
- Cons: Need the Friday and Afterwork Djs all the time
Amazing

Kamasutra is one of the best lounges i have ever been too. It was my first time having my 27th Birthday at a lounge, The manager Marilyn had given me the best experience i had in a long time. Everything from the decor to the music was great. If anyone would like to go out and have a good time go to Kamasutra K lounge you wont regret it.
- Pros: Manager
- Cons: Bathrooms
The worst service EVER!
by Yummy City
Absolutely terrible service! I could not believe how rude and pretentious the staff was. The music selection is terrible, the drinks are over priced, and the food is nothing to write home about. Ever heard of a wetvac? They need one. The pillows were dirty and the carpet had stains. Yuck! Avoid this place if you want to have a good time.
Horrible
by Starlit
Wow. Looks alright even through it's pretty small, but that immediately gets turned off when you come into contact with the Bartender. Not sure if that was a bartender or some busboy, but he was definitely rude when I had asked my drink to be made a certain way. I mean, I AM paying for it and I was just asking. I go out a lot and when I find rude people at a venue (especially if they work there) I find it's not worth the trouble especially if I'm intending to spend my money there along with my group of friends. Why go here when you can go to a better upscale place, plus, the treatment is way better. The smells there were also odd, a strong pungent oder; not something I like to smell if I'm getting trashed.
- Pros: The lighting
- Cons: The DJ, The Crowd, The Staff
Don't book for a corporate event!
by pbisab
Hi. I made the mistake of booking the K Lounge for a corporate event. My guests and I were treated extremely rudely and were not at all give what we promised. Their in-house event planner was particularly rude. This was an event for 200+ people for a major financial house! My understanding from other corporate event planners is that their sister location - Ava Lounge - is to be avoided at all costs, too. A word to the wise.
A lounge-y, red velvet ode to the Kama Sutra.
by Sandra Ramani
In Short
Sexy embellishments set the mood at this midtown lounge. Carved silver chairs, a human-sized birdcage and a 3-D skyline of Jaipur dominate the front room, while in back, chaises and floor pillows invite reclining. Minds may wander in the presence of Kama Sutra wall carvings and a sensual soundtrack of jazz-funk fusion, old-school Prince and even more specialized DJ sets. Aphrodisiacs include Indian-inspired cocktails with jasmine and ginger, and snack-sized kebabs, tikkas and samosas.
It was ok, nothing to get excited over.

Met a date here at 8pm on a saturday. My date said that some guy was a bit rude, saw him walking around, manager maybe? who knows.. the place was empty, us and 3 others in the room. The bartender, very friendly, said it was more of a late-night place. Fine with me, able to sit on a couch, have a few drinks from a very friendly and attentive waitress. Incense burning around, red decor everywhere. A good place to meet up w/a date for an early evening drink before heading out. I would go back again for this reason. 3 beers and 3 apple martinis was 60, so you make the decision if it's pricey or average or cheap.
- Pros: Atmosphere, friendly wait staff
- Cons: arrogant manager
Too Pretentious and the Decor is Tacky!
by skibby1010
I've been to this loungs several times - once for my birthday when we had made a reservation far in advance. After a couple of hours we were told that we had to move to a really small table with not enough seating for all my guests. Every other time I've been back, my friends and I have been rudely asked to move because the table was suddenly "reserved" - we were never told this when we were originally seated. The guy at the door (perhaps the manager?) is rude and pretentious. The food is grossly over-priced for the size of the servings! The video of old Bollywood films and tacky sculptures in the back room are not exotic!! I could do without this lame excuse for a lounge.
- Pros: Good drinks
- Cons: , Bad Music
WOW
by lillynyc
Wow - what a crazy cool place. First of all - take notice of the bizarre, yet cool art on the walls. Very cozy, chill place. Great for an after work drink or a date. Worth the shlep to mid-town. Pillow room in the back is my favorite.
