Authentic & Delicious Food
by callisto
I had the Shish Kebob Entree & it was absolutely delicious. The food was abundant and I love the bread they give the table. I couldn't finish the whole meal so I had the rest for lunch the next day & it was still delicious. The other entrees were equally delicious: the sampler had all sorts of different meats, the lambchops were great, the shrimp kebabs were cooked to perfection, hummus was delish. Everything here was great.
- Pros: Delicious food, home cooked meal, authentic
- Cons: Nothing
My Favorite place ever
by Channahla
This is my comfort food restaurant. When I am sad or upset, I will come here to make me happy again. It is also my show off restaurant. All of my friends and family have eaten here and they love it. I just love this place and I am blessed to live near it. everything is so fresh and tastes like Turkey, my favorite country.
The best hummus I have ever had....that that includes Israeli hummus and their home bread....makes my mouth water thinking about it.
Go Sunnyside! We are the best neighborhood for everything!
- Pros: The Best Hummus ever!!!
amazing food, people and decor
by havoc1976
I live in sunnyside and have been going to this little restaurant for 3 years now. I love everything about the place, the food, the owners and the decor. They recently purchased the euroshop next to them and expanded the restaurant by adding more seats and a bar. When they were closed i felt like a drugfiend, itching to get my fix on some kebabs. They opened up monday and i have been going there almost everyday. the place looks amazing and the food and the people are still amazing. nice work and good luck.
- Pros: everything
- Cons: nothing
Awesome!!
by lulu721
I try to visit this place at least once a week because the food is awesome there. If you like Middle Eastern food then this is the place to go in the 5 boroughs. I love that the food is fresh and flavorful. If you get the chance to eat at this restaurant, you'll have to try the hummus and lentil soup. They are among the best I have ever tasted! Service is always outstanding and if you like wine they have a good selection. Prices there are also very good, especially for the quality of the food. You're going to pay half what it cost in Manhattan and the quality is twice as good. I don't want to write such a good review because the place is starting to get a little crowded and I don't like waiting for tables in the future.
- Pros: Food, Service.
- Cons: I wish they had outdoor seating.
Absolutely one of my favorite places to eat
by BuddhaGirl
As a Sunnysider, I'm thrilled to have this restaurant just a few blocks away. The decor is simple yet very welcoming and charming, from a view of the kitchen to the red and yellow colors. The staff is always friendly and observant to the customer. Last but not least, the food is to die for. Always try their spreads and lentil soup. Their wine and dessert are also treats.
- Pros: view of the kitchen, friendly staff, great food, nice decor
- Cons: a little small but still cozy
Amazing food!
by Quala76
I love the Turkish Grill, it's the best turkish restaurant and I'm so glad it's right around the corner from where I live! I go there very often and everytime I bring new people along they rave about it. I also agree that the mixed appetizer plate is a must have. I believe everything is homemade and their bread is just amazing; always warm and moist, perfect for all the dips. The mixed grill entree is wonderful and their rice pudding to die for. Not to mention the baklavas!!! The service is great, the waiters are super friendly and the ambiance very cozy. Three tumbs up!!!
- Pros: Everything
- Cons: None
Best Turkish around
by mschocolate
This is the best Turkish restaurant in Sunnyside. Everything here is delicious, but my favorite is the mixed appetizer (hummus, babaganoush, tabbouli, thick yogurt dip, seasoned white beans, and eggplant salad) and the mixed grill (lambchops, donar, and adana on rice). TONS of food - easily shared among several people. The staff is great and the food is unparalleled. Highly recommended!
Also, delivery is great and timely, but dining in is a real treat. Cozy but elegant atmosphere great for dates or friendly gatherings.
