I had an incredible experience last night at Once Upon a Bride. Stacey, the owner made me feel special from the moment I walked in the door. I immediately was comfortable and felt I was working with an old friend. She tried 3 beautiful hairstyles on me for my wedding day and I trust her so much I decided to wait until the actual day to decide. My makeup was the best it has ever looked. I practically danced around her salon because I felt so pretty!. It was a great feeling to know I will be in such good hands on my wedding day. I wholeheartedly recommend Stacey and her staff for anything to do with hair and makeup. I live in Florida and will certainly be coming back to NY for years to come to have my hair done by her team!

Stacey and the whole OUAB team are just amazing. the minute i walked in the salon, they made me feel very special and welcomed. to be honest, i had a first trial with someone recommended by a friend of mine and was not happy. so after my first trial...i panicked and started looking online. once i booked a trial with Dana and Stacey, i felt in my gut that this is it...and i was right!!! in fact, i cancelled a trial with another bridal salon just so i can meet up with Stacey and Dana first. the whole makeup trial experience was awesome. Dana listened to my concerns--what i like and don't like. my makeup was sooo natural that it felt like i wasn't wearing any. i can't stop looking at the mirror after the trial. as for the hair, Stacey is sooo talented!!! very sweet and she'll really work with you. it was such an amazing experience that for the first time, i felt truly like a bride after the trial with Stacey. she was very patient with me and she tried different styles and looks so we can both find the BEST one for me. all of them are VERY FRIENDLY and THEY ACTUALLY LISTEN!!! i could not wait 'til my wedding day to see my overall look. i am very confident that Stacey and Dana will be able to give me the perfect look for my wedding. I HIGHLY recommend them...not just to other brides but also to those who are searching for a nice, cozy, and trendy salon. after the wedding, i'll definitely go back to Stacey for a haircut:)

Stacey and her team at Once Upon A Bride are amazing! They went above and beyond for me. I was a last minute bride and they worked to squeeze me in during such a busy time. Can not thank them enough!From the second I walked in for my trial, they made me feel so relaxed and were so much fun! I didn't really have ideas for hair and makeup and after they sat with me and looked at pictures of my dress, they came up with the most beautiful ideas. I never felt more beautiful in my life!!! I was in shock! It was so natural...but stunning and elegant at the same time! Now I can not wait for my actual wedding day- these girls are so fun to hang out with and you get to leave looking gorgeous! It doesn't get better than that! I am making an appt with Stacey to cut my hair at her salon also. I would recommend OUAB to everyone. I have never looked so amazing!!!!!

Pros: makeup lasts all night! hair is exquisite!

Everyone always says that planning a wedding is so much fun. Well, from what I have experienced, it is and it isn't and it often involves a bit of compromise and give and take. Going to Once Upon A Bride, however, was maybe, the most fun part so far. From the moment you walk in Stacey and her team make you feel incredibly welcome. Before meeting with them, I had never had my hair or makeup done professionally and I have to say that I looked forward to going there for weeks. Once Upon A Bride exceeded my expectations! Both my hair and makeup looked beautiful and on top of that, Stacey and her team were just really fun to hang out with. The atmosphere was very casual and comfortable and it felt like I was hanging out with friends. I wasn't sure exactly what kind of look I wanted and they were all very patient and helpful in making recommendations, but also reminding me that what I thought was the most important. I can't say enough about them and I would recommend them to any bride!!

Aside from the fact that Stacey is beautiful and cool, she and her stylists do the best hair ever! I did not originally chose Once Upon A Bride, and boy did I regret it. My first trial was a disaster, but as soon as I contacted Stacey, I felt immediately reassured. She was detail oriented and organized, which is very important when you are planning a wedding and have so many things to do. Most importantly, my hair on my wedding day was so beautiful. I absolutely loved it, and I got so many compliments. It suited my face, it was original and creative and Stacey worked with me to make sure it was exactly what I wanted and also that it was PERFECT. I could not have been happier and I could not speak any higher about Once Upon A Bride. They were perfection.

I just went to Once Upon A Bride for my make up trial for my wedding and I loved everything about the service, ambiance, staff, and of course, my makeup! Stacey Lyn and her team know how to make you feel calm and relaxed even though you are planning one of the most important events of your life. When I met Desiree, my makeup artist, I instantly knew she would do a great job. I wasn't exactly sure how I wanted to do my makeup, so Desiree worked with me to create the perfect look. She took everything into account: my dress, my hair, the time of the wedding...I could go on and on. She really took the time to get to know me. She was amazing! When she was finished, I was so excited to finally see what she had done and I loved it! I cannot wait for my wedding day. I know I will look and feel great thanks to everyone at Once Upon a Bride.

Once Upon a Bride was one of the best decisions I made when planning my wedding. Stacey Lyn came highly recommended by a friend of mine and as soon as I met her I felt comfortable and at ease. I had a very specific idea in mind of how I wanted to look on my wedding day and Stacey "got it." She worked with me to create the perfect hair style that I completely loved. I even found a beautiful hair piece from her extensive and beautiful collection. I also worked with OUAB (Desiree) for my makeup, which was flawless and fabulous. Stacey and Desiree made my wedding trial and my wedding day relaxed and fun - just like hanging out with two of my friends. My makeup and hair stayed set for almost 10 hours even though I did pictures outside in the sun and then danced the night away. It was the perfect experience and I am so glad I worked with them. I would highly recommend them to any bride-to-be!

OUAB did an amazing job with my hair and makeup. I do not usually wear make up so finding someone who would make me look special but not over done and un-recognizable was very important. Stacey was patient through the planning process and helped me find a makeup artist that I was comfortable with and RoAnna was it. During the trial she listened to my concerns, likes and dislikes and offered suggestions. She put together exactly what I was looking for and I was thrilled with the end result. My make up was flawless but natural and with little direction Stacey created a romantic look for my hair that outshined anything I could have imagined. I truly felt like a princess. My bridesmaids and my mom looked beautiful! Even my bridesmaids who originally did not want their hair or makeup done asked to be squeezed in at the last minute after seeing how amazing everyone else looked. Most importantly everyone's makeup and hair remained perfect through all the rain, laughter, tears and dancing! I could not have been happier with the job they did and would not have trusted anyone else to do my hair and makeup on that day.

I am from San Francisco and was planning my wedding in NYC this June. I had multiple disastrous hair trials with stylist who claimed they could work with curly hair, but either ended up straightening my curls or making me look like I was going to prom. One day I stumbled upon Once Upon a Bride on line and called the owner Stacey to discuss my needs. She spent time discussing her various stylists and price ranges and worked with me in finding the best fit possible. Stacey even opened up the store on her day off so that I could come in to discuss style options, since I did not have enough time before the wedding for a full trial. She was also the one to do my hair on the wedding day and it turned out beautiful! Her make up artist was very talented as well. She did individual lashes that looked very natural and my make up looked amazing in pictures and even after a few tears. The cost of services was definitely above my original budget but it was worth every penny!

I just got back from my honeymoon and had to say you guys nailed it! I wasn't sure which hair style to go with so they took pictures of each "creation" so I could go home and think about it. After choosing my "look", I had the pictures to show Stacey which style I wanted. They made me look and feel like the most beautiful bride in the world. The day of the wedding was chaotic. Since my Once Upon A Bride team has been here before, they were very calming. Looking back at there confidence, it gave me the strength to hold it together (I should have hired them as a consultant since they knew who should be doing what and when from the flowers to the caterer). You guys are the best and I am telling everyone about you...
