Horror Story - Do No Use Them!
by DarlaRae453 at Citysearch
Immediate upon arrival, mover stated $70 for tape. and started talking price. They would not movedpictures or anything glass unless they wrapped (an additional charge), even though we had everything wrapped and taped in padding. I had an estimate for approximately 90 items and they ended up taking 56 items. I had to arrange to store some items elsewhere and packed our cars to the hilt to move from OH to NC. The man in charge tried to change my contract several times, argued about the price I was quoted for storage and was very beligerent when I wanted to go with weight opposed to volume. Very unprofessional company. I wish I would have looked at these reviews prior to contracting with them. My original estimate was $1,200 and ended up costing approximately $1000 more! Buyer Beware!!!!!!!
- Pros: JoAnn with dispatch & storage arrangements
- Cons: Entire moving peronnel attitudes & TONS of paperwork
Don't Use Them

Don't use them. Very deceitful, dishonest and sneaky. Change the contract and they legally can break all of your furniture and get away with it! USE AT YOUR OWN RISK - - YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!
- Cons: When arriving to your home you have to sign additional paperwork that you are not made aware of until they arrive. If you don't sign the paperwork they won't move your furniture then you are screwed
Excellent moving service and no problems, would recommend.

I called this moving company to book with them when my first moving company didn't bother to call me or show up. Although I felt comfortable with the price they gave me, I was very nervous since everything was last minute and I was left with bad taste of movers from first company. But Eagle staff was friendly and informative and the movers were good and thorough. Most of my items were already packed by me but the movers did crate my large fish aquarium and 2 plasmas and some pricier artwork. I moved from nyc to slc, utah - about 2+ bdrms for $2000 total. Everything arrived in one piece and all in all, I'm very happy and would definitely recommend this company for their high service.
- Pros: Friendly, On Time, Service oriented people
- Cons: Lots of paperwork to sign

Professional service, and smooth move from NY to AZ

We had a nice estimator come to our home and he gave us good price and included some discounts. We also got about $100 of packing materials for free. There were 3 movers who packed and loaded our stuff and they were very careful and nice. They were all good workers but especially 2 of them because you could tell they were very experienced and professional at what they do. It took about 9 or 10 days for our stuff to reach Arizona and we had two movers at the other end. They were very good too and helped unwrapped and check all our tvs and put the bedroom furniture together. We had no damages or problems and the price was very good compared to the other estimates I got. I would definitely recommend this moving company. Overall, my move went very well and we are very happy for the service from their people.
- Pros: Good price, everyone in office was friendly, no problems
- Cons: Delivered in 18 wheeler truck
Bad service and estimators promises not upheld!

I was unsatisfied by the local move. I had three men move my one-bedroom (which didn't have a lot of furniture) and it took four hours. One man was very professional and nice, one guy was completely useless and spent more time taking breaks than moving and the third was older than my father - he seemed competent about a decade ago but not in the 2000's. Also, they changed the terms of the overtime agreement from what the estimator said on multiple issues. Apparently they consider the estimators numbers to be a final contract, not an estimate - though they verbally told me that was not the case! Also, they wanted to charge me $300 for 15 minutes of over time, so get the overtime charges in writing by the estimator. And finally, they forgot to bring in one box which then took them 10 days to re-deliver. Overall, I just wouldn't recommend then!
- Pros: Decent prices.Didn't break furniture!
- Cons: Changed all the verbal agreements after they loaded the truck!
Beware of Bait and Switch!

Eagle Van Lines gave me a mid-range estimate to move from NYC to AZ. However, once my stuff was loaded on the van, the price increased by a $1000.00. Their explanation was that the guy who gave the free in-home estimate forgot to include my couch in the original estimate. They threatened that if I disputed the amount that they would price the move by weight rather than volume and that the price would increase even more.
