An incredible selection of must haves, never heard ofs, and just-in pick ups is what makes this store siimply the best in the city. Covering every genre you can imagine, you're sure to always find something interesting. Plus the prices are FAIR. When was the last time you got a fair deal in a record store?

Pros: Price, Selection, Knowledge

I think bugmenever review (below) is bulls**t! What's a matter? The ice cream @ the CD shop was no good? Listen, This is a small, funky shop with a great, great selection. Paul covers the waterfront with the singer-songwriter stuff (from Bowie n Costello to Cat Power) and Greta knows funk, soul, blues, punk and lot's more than you! Rare LP's, new LP's, buttons (i got a freakin' Link Wray button for my messenger bag! how cool am i?), used Mojo mags (come on, that's hip) and more. These 2 peeps know music. You might not find Rod Stewart sings Broadway, but i bet you can find some Japanese electronic noise CD that nobody has (and probably find it as a promo for less money). Yes, bring cash, but they are not expensive and even cheaper than most CD shops. Remember the days when you walked into your local shop (whatever it was) and the owner's said "Hi" & "Need help?". That's what I'm talkin' bout! GREAT SHOP! YA DIG?

careful - you'll find some good stuff here, but you won't be able to walk out the door with it without significant cash on you; This place is cash-only (at least when I visited April 2005)

Pros: small

Cons: small

Future Legend has been a godsend to the Hell's Kitchen neighborhood. Other than a few Spanish record stores, there was no place to buy music here until F.L. arrived. They've got a superb selection of indie rock, and their hip-hop and jazz sections are quite good too. Prices for new CDs are some of the cheapest you'll find in the city. Popular new releases often sell out within the week, but they usually restock within the following week. The owners are way cool and friendly, and super-knowledgeable to boot.

Pros: Inexpensive, Excellent selection, Friendly owners

I'm very excited that there is finally a music store in the neighborhood. Even better are the extremely cool owners Paul & Greta. They really know their music & have a really diverse collection. It's almost like hanging out in their personal closet, but you get to take stuff home! And on the off chance something isn't in stock that day, they'll order it for you. They rock - and so will you for going there. Pick up a cool t-shirt, too.

Pros: good value, personalized service, convenient location
