Ciao Bella Now Uses Fillers in their Ice Cream!

Diasppointed to see that many (all? - we had their chocolate and triple espresso) of their ice creams now use

- Guar Gum

- Locust Bean Gum

- Carrageenan

all at the same time. Yikes! We loved the ice cram they make, but now won't touch it. Had some lately and wondered why it tasted funny. Then we read the list of ingredients. Looks like the expansion of their business drove a once great brand to focus more on profits than on the quality that got them to the top.

Conti's Coffee Clutch, Got Jelly Donuts?

It's all good at Conti's, my home away from home; and the best jelly donuts in town (most generous with the jelly). I love to sit outside in the nice weather, and on the nice comfortable couch in the back when Mother Nature isn't cooperating. Sal, and all the Conti's Family are friendly people who care about Morris Park, and that's what makes a neighborhood. Kudos! I'd love to see you resurrect the Fountain, this Bakery has been around since the 20's; it has a presence. It's not unusual to stop by and catch a sing-a-long or a hot debate about neighborhood politics. You should go!

Best everything ever

I can not visit the Broxn without paying Conti a visit. My family and I live in Mahattan, but we take the trip to the Bronx because we can not find anything as close to Goddly goody's as Conti's.

• Pros: Alway there when you need them, even at the last minute.
• Cons: I wish there was a Conti's in Manhattan

Bravo Conti's

Conti's has consistently been a source of superb pastry, cookies, and of course my favorites...Boston Cream Pie and Banana Cream Pie. All of this with great service and continued "family' warmth.

One of the great traditions which has weathered all of the changes of time.

Bravo Conti's...pride of the Bronx.

fantastic bakery

from the time I was 1 to the time I was about 14 years old I always had a conti italian birthday cake--My family new the orignal Conti family before the bakery was sold many years ago..For my sisters 50th birthday I drove down to the bronx and ordered her the same cake we had gotten every year until our teens and it was not the same original recipe--it definetly was changed..maybe to keep prices in line...it was good but not like the original Mr. Conti cake---which was amazing and our all time favorite cake...too bad..guess you can never go back.. the boston cream recipe seemed to be the same and that was awesome and brought back many good memories. We also brought cookies which were great...all in all still a fantastic bakery after all these years..

Best in The Bronx!

Perfect, just perfect in every way. No matter what you get at Conti's it is all so good. This place was also the film location for Doughboys, which is a movie I saw recently. Conti's really is the Best in the Bronx! My family and I get everything here from pastry to cookies, pies, and cakes. Keep it up, Conti's!

Best cookies,cakes and coffee not only in the Bronx,but in New York

Great customer service. Everything from the cakes,pastry and the decor its is a wonderfull experience.The coffee is terrific too.Sal, the owner and Mario and the entire staff make you feel like you are right at home visiting with family and friends.A must if you are going to the Bronx Zoo or the Botanical Garden. Stop by and enjoy.A first class operation.It is everything that is good about the Bronx.

Best Pastries and baked goods in the Bronx

Conti's Pastry Shoppe is the BEST pastry shop in the Bronx. Growing up in the Arthur Avenue section of the Bronx, I never thought I would say such a thing but the fantastic service, inviting decor, tremendous selection and remarkable taste of all the pastries, cakes and other baked goods is one of a kind.

In addition, I have ordered pasties and cakes for several different occasions and the quality of the goods have always been top notch and the freshness has been remarkable.

Do yourself a favor and the next time you are in Morris Park, stop in to Conti's.

Believe me, you will keep coming back!
