The legendary spirit of the east village is alive and well at "POPPET". They should charge admission for this NYC experience!

These girls have really got it goin'! I am a vintage maniac and I've never seen such an awesome collection of the hottest, most happenin' vintage dress, coats, bags, jewelry...and the SHOES...TO DIE FOR! It's like they've got a crystal ball and can already tell you what's coming up in fashion before the rest of the world knows. Plus the atmosphere is totally cool...great music, fun girls, amazing displays...the store even smells great! I went in looking for a dress to wear to my sister's wedding and walked out with a new fall wardrobe. Poppet is my newest addiction!

I was feeling a little BLAH about my downtown "cookie cutter" look and was going for a little wardrobe overhaul. I'm not a vintage kind of girl,but the great staff at Poppet soon changed that. The store was like a candy shop for the eyes with a great selection of "mint" vintage clothing, jewellry, and even to my delite SHOES. I HAD to have almost EVERYTHING in the shop-and I also took pleasure in knowing it would be very hard for anyone to duplicate my new look. The staff were friendly and were super styling!!!! They took me to a new level of FIERCE!!! I am now hooked on vintage and being an individual-THANKYOU POPPET!!!!!

Not only does this new shop have a great variety of vintage treasures, but the quality and style of each item is first rate! They also get in new items constantly, so keep going back because things move quickly. The buyer has a great eye for styles of every era, and each item is chosen with great care. Perfect for unique gifts, a special night out, or just to feel expressive and special!

Fabulous clothes at fabulous prices. Has an eye for the colors and pizzazz of the seventies, as well as the Jackie Kenndy understated sixties. It's great fun to dress up in something that's totally unique. Why buy retro reproductions when you can have the real thing, better made and cheaper! The store is small, so you don't feel overwhelmed and can take your time to look at everything. And a cute clerk knows what she's talking about and is a great help. It's worth a visit!
Pros: Great variety, accessories abound, reasonably priced
