Great night
by AZan
Went here Sat night with some girlfriends and we scored a little couch spot near the bar until our table was ready at 11:30 (definitely reserve a table!) Drinks are expensive but that's what you have to expect in that neighborhood and at a bar with this type of scene.
We lucked out and got a table by the doors that go to the patio so we had a great breeze and we weren't cramped by other tables although I could see that other tables were really smooshed together. We had no problem with service and in fact I'm pretty sure they only charged us for 1 bottle of champagne when we ordered 2 (score!) Food was basic bar food and appetizers but that's what we wanted so overall we had a great night and the music could not have been better. We didn't stay there all night so when we left I did see a line to get in so its probably best to get there around 11 to avoid a line.
- Pros: great music, good scene
- Cons: cramped w/out a table
avoid this place~!

I took my daughter to this rip off on her 21 st. birthday. The service was terrible and there was nobody in the place! At least five waiters and no followup service. It is overpriced and the food is pub grub at an exorbitant price. To be blunt the "food sucked". The bill for four with three drinks at $15.00 a piece was outrageous. As a long time New Yorker, I wish I could have spent my cash in a restaurant where I walked away satisfied. It was an expensive birthday party without any quality! Forget it!
- Pros: none
- Cons: many
Awful Place for Large Group
by KL421
Had a bday party here. Called in advance to see if there was a cover. They said no, and no bottle service was required. Got there with a group of 6-8, denied at door. Said we had to buy bottle service to get only 4 people in. Tried to seperate and go in seperately, but the front door folks would not have it. Bought bottle, got in. Later than night, when the rest of my party arrived, they were denied entry w/o tipping the door (aka, head of security) money. Ridiculous! Don't go with a big party, once they see that you have more than 3 to your party they will discriminate and suck the money out of you. Not worth it at all. From the looks of the other reviews, management sucks and it seems like they condone this kind of practice. Just beware when you go.
- Pros: Decent music
- Cons: Front Door / Management

You know that feeling when you first set eyes on the love of your life? The feeling that you know she's the one for you. That's how I feel about One Little West 12th St.
Delicious

As much as I love the west village, the meatpacking district has always been a neighborhood I've avoided. My best friend and I decided to eat at ONE before going to galleries in Chelsea and had a wonderful time. The bread was so delicatable and almost melted in our mouths. The waiter advised us to order a couple of entrees and share, so we ordered the sliders and pizza. I expected the entrees to be small but I was stuffed. We also ordered the chocolate cake, and that was incredible too. The wait staff was extremely attentive and friendly.
I highly recommend this restaurant, even though the area is filled with B & T. We went on a Thursday night at around 7 and we had the place to ourselves.
- Pros: amazing food, incredible service
Decent place in Meatpacking District.

I went here for a party and had a decent time. I liked the lounge atmosphere in the middle of the room. While quarters are a little tight, having a seating area was helpful. The music was decent but the cramped quarters leave little room for dancing other than bobbing your head to the beats. As for the drinking/eating, I can't comment on the food since I didn't try any. Getting the drinks took a little time to get bartenders attention but service on a busy night was good. The only negative was the coat check. Most coat checks in concert venues/bars take a little time to serve the customers, but I find it hard to believe that it would take a half hour with a line of 15-20 people.
- Pros: Lounge, Music,
- Cons: Selection of Beers, Wine Price, Slow Coat Check
Great bar/lounge scene

I went to One the other night and had a great time. If you are looking for a bar/lounge atmosphere, it is a great place to go. Beautiful space, nice crowd, and great music. I just bought tickets to the New Years Eve party at One on www.NearCorner. com. It should be a great party.
Decent Night Out

I have never had the food here, but I came for a friends birthday and it was a pretty good time. Fun music to dance to and lots of space to move around in.
fun!

I came to ONE for a friend?s birthday and had a great time. The food was tasteful and the staff was kind. Once it turns into a club at night anyone is bound to have a wonderful time. The music is nonstop and the drinks are delicious and reasonably priced. I hope to return here soon, and I highly recommend this place for anyone who is looking for somewhere to go for a good night out.
