Yep, this place is awful. I walked in on a weekend, as I live in the area, to be measured for a bridesmaid's dress. The woman working there was rude...she told me they didn't take walk-ins and I had to make an appointment. I finally convinced her that she should measure me anyway since I was already there, and guess what---it took about five seconds! I'm glad I didn't make an appointment for that! Then, as everyone here seems to have experienced, my dress came in way, way too big. Now they are telling me they might not be able to alter it on time. Bad!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I had to get a bridesmaid dress here and the staff is extremely RUDE. They don't tell you how much alterations will run and then get you with an $85 charge to shorten a dress! When I went to pick up my "altered" dress it was not even finished! There was still white chalk mark lines on the bottom that was still 4 inches too long. I made a call the next morning and the woman admitted to seeing the lines when she steamed my dress but "didn't realize" it wasn't altered correctly because "she does so many fittings a day." So three extra trips later I got an ATTITUDE, no appology and $85 in the hole. Oh, and they don't return calls because they are "too busy." DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to deal with hassles and rude, unproffesional people that have no idea what customer service is. I would not go back here even if you paid me!

Pros: None

Cons: Rude staff, overpriced dresses, overpriced alterations...the list goes on....

Allie and the staff at Adrienne's have just been wonderful throughout this whole wedding planning process. If there has been one thing that has gone smoothly throughout this stressful time, it has been ordering the bridesmaids' dresses. Allie has provided outstanding customer service since I started working with her in November. I ordered 7 bridesmaids dresses for a June wedding. Allie kept me updated on their status and as soon as they came in shipped them to my various BM's all over the country. The dresses came in 2 months early, and the local bridesmaids have already started their alterations. Adrienne's has a great selection and I highly recommend working with Allie and the rest of the staff.

Pros: Great customer service, very good selection of dresses

Cons: none

I was surprised to learn that I had to call a few wks in advance to make an apt here because I felt like it was a hidden gem - obviously not so hidden! Anyway, I went with all my bridesmaids to the shop after doing brunch around the corner. We worked with Allie and she was not only helpful, but she didn't pressure us to buy or anything. I explained what I was looking for and she pulled a ton of dresses for the girls. They each found a dress they loved and our visit was a lot easier than I expected with Allie's help. She measured each girl and then reviewed the size chart with them to make sure she was ordering a size they were comfortable with and agreed with. I don't know how another commentator is saying that the dresses ordered were the wrong size, because my girls were part of that decision. I don't know how she is claiming that. Anyway, she did all the fittings on each girl which was so nice for each of them as they already felt like they knew her. The alterations were capped at $75 which saved them all $ and worth the trip to the LES! I also got my dress across the street at the bridal shop and Gina was awesome to work with. She made sure I loved every detail my dress and I was 100% happy with it. It also saved my girls 10% on their dresses since I got my dress at the bridal shop! I can not recommend this store enough. Gina and Allie made the whole dress thing a breeze. They are so easy to work with and I couldn't say enough nice things about this store or the women who run it. Please don't believe these negative reviews and check it out for yourself! You'll be happy you did!

Good selection and prices but Adrienne’s is absolutely awful at after-purchase service and apparently do not know how to measure dress size correctly. Two of ten dresses ordered in our bridal party were measured incorrectly, off by 4 or 5 sizes. I am the father of the bride and Maid of Honor. The bridal party purchased 10 Vera Wang dresses from Adrienne's. Two of the 10 dresses came in sized wrong. The two dresses were over 7" to small across the back shoulders. One Brides Maid dress required adding a 7" fabric panel, which was both expensive and changed the design of the dress. The Maid of Honor dress was also about 7" too narrow and couldn't be altered. The Maid of Honor is petite, so 7” is even more terrible. My daughter did not change sizes in the months it took for the dress to come in to Adrienne’s. We had to quickly purchase another dress for the wedding. After purchase, Adrienne's would not return calls or email and just completely ignored us. They wouldn't even consider discussing getting the correctly sized dress. The Maid of Honor dress was returned to Adrienne’s from where I live in Philadelphia, with photographs of the dress on my daughter. They kept the money and the dress, just another example of Adrienne’s arrogance. This review is not about money, I received a full refund from my credit card company who also investigated my complaint against Adrienne's and refunded my full purchase price. Rather, I hope other consumers will avoid the emotional trauma of ordering a wedding party dress only to find out months later when the dress comes in that the dress is defective and it's your tough luck. Don't expect Adrienne's to provide any after purchase services. As a side issue, one of my daughter's out-of-town friends had an appointment with Adrienne's, when she arrived, Adrienne's didn't have the appointment recorded and would not see her, actually turned her away. But that's just another example of Adrienne's service policy.

Pros: nice selection

Cons: Awful service

What I don't understand is how, after five horrible reviews out of twelve, this place still gets a 4.5 rating. Citysearch needs to re-evaluate it's system. But my two cents is that I completely agree with the negative reviews. They have a shtick, where they order sizes too big for you and defend what they did by telling you that alterations are capped at a certain price. The seamstresses they employ are not very skilled either. What I will say is that if you have to order your dress from here, tell them what size to order, do not let them make their own decision. They may say that bridal dress sizing is different, but at least for Dessy and After Six, this is not true. I am normally a 2 in dresses but they kept insisting I order a 6 both times I needed to get a dress from there. The second time, I ended up just ordering from netbrides online (much cheaper and faster) and sure enough I was a 2. All of the other bridesmaids in the party also ordered their normal sizes and there were no problems. My friend who is a 4 let them order her bridal dress and they ordered her a 10! She was swimming in it. The store owners need to re-evaluate their business model because it is really backfiring.

Pros: Not much. Same dresses are cheaper online.

Cons: Sleazy business model and service.

i am surprised by the good reviews of this place. i understand it is hard to be in this business with so many obnoxious women looking for dresses, but i had a really horrendous experience here. i had to get my bridesmaid's dress here because this is where the bride had asked us to go. from the very first appointment, i did not like this place. i was hopeful when we walked in, because it is a cute little store. But as soon as we arrived (granted, we were a few minutes late) we were rushed, even though there was no one else in the store and no one came in after us! the saleswoman was extremely rude, constantly sneered at us, and even badmouthed other customers (that called in on the phone) to our face. i tried to ignore the vibe, and just pick out my dress. they do have a nice selection, which is one thing in their favor. if you do have to get a dress here, do not let them do the alterations. they had to fix mine three times, and it still wasn't right. on the day of the wedding, i literally kept falling over because my dress was too long. Some of the bridesmaids had their alterations done at other places, and they had no problem at all. at these prices, and with this service, they should at least get the alterations right. there are not many bridesmaid stores in this city, but please try to find a different one!!

Pros: nice selection

Cons: very rude salespeople, poor alterations

Running a bridal gown salon is pretty much signing up to deal with crazy people all the time, so I forgive the staff at Adrienne's their occasional brusqueness, especially since my own experience shopping for a dress around Manhattan confirmed that there are two types of salespeople: fawning liars and terse truth-tellers. Adrienne's staff definitely falls into the latter category: while not overly chatty or gushy, they all had great eyes and they were completely right in recommending the dress I bought, which was actually one of the cheapest I tried on. They also tipped me off on the date of their upcoming trunk sale for the designer of my gown so I could get a discount on it. My only complaint has to do with the alteration process: Gina assured me that I wouldn't need to try the gown on one last time, but she said I could if I wanted to. I don't know who would not try their gown on to check on the final alterations, and when I did try the gown on, the neckline was actually not straight. Gina took the dress to the downstairs workshop and fixed it on the spot and the end result was a completely perfect and beautiful fit, but had I not insisted on the "unnecessary" final try-on, I would have gotten married in a visibly skewed neckline. In the end, perhaps because they were sorry (?), they charged me less than the standard "capped" alteration price for the alterations. On the whole, I went to a lot of places (Designer Loft, Kleinfeld's...) and I am happy with the experience I had at Adrienne's. If you you can keep your inner Bridezilla in check and communicate calmly and firmly with the folks at Adrienne's, I think you'll be very happy with the dress that you get - I certainly was!

I don't usually write reviews but my experience here was so horrible I had to speak up. Particularly after reading all of these reviews that it appears the Adrienne's owners have seemed to muster up since the first really bad one earlier this year. I now know three brides who went here. They ordered dresses to big for all of them and then they hid behind the fact that "they cap alterations" at a certain price to dismiss you when you complain. They are very condescending, calling everyone from the bride to the bride's grandmother "sweetie" in the most patronizing way. They also cut my dress too short and I had to buy shorter shoes. I love to support smaller shops and went to Adrienne's because I didn't want to go the "typical" route of Kleinfeld's or Saks. But wow do I regret my decision. They made me so mad and frustrated that it nearly ruined my wedding planning experience. One star is too generous.

Pros: Decent prices

Cons: Very manipulative, rude, and deceiptful staff and business practice

I was very recently a bridesmaid in a wedding for which the bride had ordered dresses for the bridal party through Adrienne's (I think she got her dress there and they gave her some sort of discount). When I originally called to make an appointment to get measured for the dress, the girl was extremely rude, and she barely gave me any options for times to come in. When I came in, I was basically an afterthought even though I had scheduled a half hour. I decided not to pay them to alter the dress based on their rude attitude and lack of service. Instead, I went to a local tailor and probably paid more money. Additonally, the dress I picked up from Adrienne's had a slightly damaged zipper.

Pros: Okay selection

Cons: Rude salespeople, bad service
