Glorified Toilet
by RealTalk101 at Citysearch
If you want to see underage bridge/tunnel/euro crowd at it's finest, just come here... you don't even need to go in, as the line outside will confirm this.
Who pays a cover nowadays besides underage kids, anyway?
And the door people ... could be some of the lowest forms of existence out there. I give no respect to someone who's only power and station in life derives from standing in front a nightclub door. I promise you this, they will ask to be paid off in order to let you in (this is before you pay the cover). They also discriminate fairly blatently based on gender, appearance, race, clothing, etc. Now I ask you: do you really want to stand there and be judged by the guy who graduated last in your high school class and works at the town pizzeria during the day?
Honestly... it's a big city, and many great bars with great staff and crowds exist in all neighborhoods. Just don't waste your money on clubs that should really be located in Sayreville, NJ, right next to Hunkabunka.
- Pros: it has a toilet
- Cons: it is a toilet
Refreshing

I have to say, I'd heard nightmare stories about getting in to Marquee from friends for ages and I was a bit nervous when my friend mentioned he was hoilding a small get toggether there a week ago.
I showed up and it was really busy outside. The door man (looked like Lex Luthor) and very handsome caught my eye and asked if he could help me with anything.
I was waiting for the kicker, "are you on a list" or "it's reservations only" but he asked me if I was alone and welcomed me in.
Oh my God! How easy was that. I guess it depends on whether I had brought my boyfriend with me or if I was unnatractive but I was pleasantly surpised by the was I treated and would go back any night if he Lex was working.
Fun Place to have a good time!

Not Worth the Hype
by VictoriaFana at Citysearch
I went on a Saturday night with out-of-town friends. We had a reserved table upstairs. The crowd was anything but glamorous. If anything they were wannabe celebutards. The music was beyond anything digestible. You can get the same tunes from Hot 97 or Z100, to name a few. Absolutely nothing original from both DJ's; actually, nothing original about anyone there. The place is extremely overrated!!!! Over $1000 spent and I would have preferred to Club Shelter, pay $20 and truly dance my butt off to the music played by a "REAL" DJ Timmy Regisford, instead of what I subjected by poor ears to for 3 hours. Now I know for certain that if a brainless celebrity is loving the place - then it's definitely not worth the effort.
- Cons: The Music SUCKED!!!!!
such a cool atmosphere

I really love this club! It has a downstairs, an upstairs, and another room called the red room. All of the rooms have a different vibe and all play great music. They play a mix of house and hip hop. The doormen are really nice and I went with Vero's list and got right in with her and didn't pay a cover. I can't to go back!
- Pros: multi level with different rooms

The NYC Staple
by awiernik at Citysearch
Located in the heart of "Club Row," Marquee has dominated the New York Nightlife scene for a long time. The attractive crowd and lively music cancel out the wait at the door, or the strict bouncers.
Make sure youre on a guest list, or buying bottle service if you want to do it right.
THE MAIN DOOR GUY IS A CLOWN
by Troy1985 at Citysearch
THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE IN THE WORLD THAT THE DOOR GUY FEELS IMPORTANT, I REALY FEEL BAD FOR THIS GUY THAT DID NOT HAD AN EDUCATION AND MANNERS, EVERY ONE THAT I KNOW HATE HIM THEY SAID HI JUST TO GET IN BUT HE DON'T MEAN ANYTHING TO THIS WEALTY FRIENDS HE IS JUST A GUY THAT OPEN THE DOOR FOR THEM AND TAKES PACKET CHANGE LIKE A HOMELESS, MAYBE HE GETS ENOUGH TO GO BACK TO SCHOOL AND LEAR HOW TO BE A MAN.
Blacks and minorities stay away
by vagraphix at Citysearch
If you are black this is not the place for you. I am a black man, with long locks. I arrived early; I know a few of the promoters so I was added to the so-called overrated guest list. I was allowed in but when the party picked up I was asked to leave by a bouncer. He accused me of harassing the ladies in the club. I asked how is this possible if I was accompanied by ladies, his response was," he was told by his manager I was harassing women in the club". He asked me to leave the premises; when I refused because I thought he was joking, he called his other thugs to escort me out. The others didn't know the reason I was asked to leave, but boy were they happy to throw me out and embarrass me in public. After I was outside the thugs made it clear that I was want not welcomed there. A few minutes later, they escorted British tourist another black guy out of the club. They accused him off tipping over a table, he also thought they were joking, but sure enough they were making up any excuses to get the blacks out.
I think it deplorable and despicable to see ordinary people been treated like dogs because they are not part of the elite or the right color. This club and others need to be boycotted not just for the way they treat blacks and minorities, but the way they treat men in general.
Men and minorities should organize and stop going to these clubs for a month, to remind them that we work just as hard as women. If they expect us to spend money in their establishments, they should treat us equally and show us some dignity, because they aren’t doing us a favor, we are doing them a favor by choosing there establishment, which helps them stay in business.
Blacks and minorities stay away, if you are able to get in be aware.
- Pros: non
- Cons: Blacks and minorities aren't welcome
I loved it!

I was there in 2005 and i go twice in a week.
Wonderful, very nice toilets with parfumes and chewing gum, sometimes you can see VIP guest like Leo Di Caprio.
Hope to be there again soon!
