This place may be able to see you quickly, but I recommend you go elsewhere where the doctors area responsible.

My prescription ran out and I lost my new prescription before I could get it filled. I left messages with Dr. Ahmad and he did not return my phone calls or messages for four days.. I have been several days without my Rx and now it is Friday night before Hurricane Irene. It looks like it will be Tuesday or Wednesday before I can get a new script and I am beginning to feel the withdrawal. I have a family that depends on me to be stable and this not only affects me, but also the people that depend on me.

I left messages with the front desk and finally the director of the center. No one returned my calls.

When I finally spoke to Dr. Ahmad he said "I don't need to listen to this cr@p" and then hung up. This is an exact quote.

I should have known that he was a poor choice for my care because when I saw him he would hang his head in his hands and shake his head when I told him my issues. He would also yawn as if he was either bored or tired. He works from 5 pm until closing, so I this must be his second job.

I have had all kinds of experiences with doctors over the years and have never had one leave me out to dry like this.

If he didn’t want to provide care for me he was obligated to tell me, not just ignore me while my problems become worse as a result of withdrawal.

I feel betrayed and abandoned and I truly hope that this doesn't ever happen to anyone else. That is why I am writing this negative review.

I will be following up with state review boards to see if I can file an official complaint.

I also think the administrative staff dresses inappropriately.

Five Star Clinic!

The Center of Revitalizing Psychiatry, it's staff of psychiatrists, psychotherapists and psychologists, led by Marina Tourkova, MD is a first class mental health clinic. One can get all necessary treatment there provided by attentive and concerned, highly qualified personnel. The Center has several support groups featuring various topics (Depression, Anxiety, Women's, Medical conditions, etc.) at convenient times. I am very glad I am getting their help!

• Pros: Conveniently located at the center of Hackensack, New Jersey. Easy to find and good public transportation. Convenient hours: late evening and Suturday

Experienced and sympathetic doctor

Doctor Marina Tourkova can find a personal approach to anybody. She has extensive experience with modern psychiatric medications and psychotherapeutic treatments. Dr. Tourkova always tries to involve a complex treatment for her patients: psychotherapy, group therapy and medications. People (myself including) often erroneously picture a psychiatrist dealing with �crazy� individuals. But Dr. Tourkova treated an eating disorder of my daughter associated with it mild depression. Tank you very much Dr Marina Tourkova and your psychotherapy staff for your help!

Hichly Qualified and Experienced Psychiatrist

Doctor Marina Tourkova is an exceptionally qualified and experienced psychiatrist. She helps her patients with a wide range of treatment options: from individual and group psychotherapy to psychiatric medication management. She is always polite and attentive with people. Dr. Tourkova believes that a psychotherapeutic approach should be combined with a medication treatment: qualified psychotherapists help her to conduct individual, group and family therapy treatments.
