Rodolfo Valentin, The New York Society Hair Stylist

I truly have the benefit of being one of the two thousand people invited to enjoy to the wedding of Andrea Catsimatidis, daughter of John and Margo with Chirstopher Nixon Cox, the grandson of the late President Richard Nixon at the Waldorf Astoria. I also have the great pleasure of share the celebration with Hilary Clinton, Henry Kissinger and the congresswoman Carolyn Maloney. Everybody was looking gorgeous, why? We all use the same hair stylist, Rodolfo Valentin. Thank you Rodolfo, you are truly an artist and the only and only number one in New York, no doubt about it!

Best Haircut ever just like Best Chanel suit or Dior Shoes

This if my first review here in Citysearch and I hope I am doing it okay. As I like a Chanel suit, a Dior shoes or a Hermes bag, I love Rodolfo Valentin which is my best brand hair stylist. I am European and I am not wealthy but I see things a little bit different than other people, I am the kind of girl that likes to have probably only one from the best that many things of mediocre quality. As an example I enjoy to have one real suit from Chanel that dozens from unknown brands, same with the shoes, I truly enjoy having two pairs from Dior or at least just one great handbag from Hermes!—Same attitude I have about beauty. I only use the best makeup also from Chanel, the best cosmetics like La Mer for my skin and the best salon in the world, Rodolfo Valentin for my haircut. At their location in New York they have stylists for 125, 175 and Rodolfo who charges 350, something that can be called a bargain compare to other famous hair stylists in the City that are charging 500, 600 also 800 for a haircut that cannot be compare to the haircut done by Rodolfo. Also, at Rodolfo’s the haircuts are including the best shampoo, quality conditioner, blow-dry plus a heavenly cranial massage that justifies the price just by itself. I have paid more than that for a cranial massage which greatly helps me with headaches. Again, I do not care to pay for the best but I do care if I have to pay top price for the worst! I can use any of the other stylists at Rodolfo’s, they are all good, they are all very professional and even the ones that are charging there 125 are doing a very professional, decent job including the shampoo, styling and again the cranial massage. But I want Rodolfo, he makes me feel secure, I can manage my hair even without styling it. I think that Rodolfo’s haircut matches perfectly with my Chanel suit, my Dior shoes and my Hermes bag!

Nice Hair Cut But Not Worth the Money

After reading all the great reviews at Rodolfo Valentin, I couldn’t help but go in for a haircut here. They were able to squeeze me in with one of the girls that had an opening. The front staff was very friendly and so was the girl who cut my hair. She gave me a scalp massage that I won’t soon forget and the haircut was just as I had wanted. The only negative thing I have to say about the place is their prices. While I expect these prices to be charged to women with a full head of hair, I don’t expect to pay the same for a shampoo, a trim and a little sculpting gel.

Best Hair Extension Salon in New York

It was not easy to find the best hair extension salon in New York with so many offerings and none of them sounding attractive! I truly was exhausted and frustrated of having visited most of the extension salons that are proclaiming of doing the best and being the best of the best, specially one in Astoria, Queens when in reality it is the worst in every sense. Asking friends and non-friends in the restaurants or while shopping I ended up with a consultation with Rodolfo Valentin. Did not take me more than 30 minutes to realize that I was in the right hands or probably I should say golden hands! I not only got the best customer service than any other salon delivers but a great hair color and the best hair extensions in the world that also helped to enhance my hair color! Now other women are asking me in the street, restaurants and while shopping where I get my hair done! Thank you Rodolfo Valentin salon.

Reunited

I have been working in Manhattan for many years. I shop on Madison Avenue all the time, visiting the boutiques and cafes during lunch and after work. I remember going to Rodolfo's salon in the upper 80's many years ago. After having drinks at Amaranth's and speaking with friends, I was informed that Rodolfo was now around the corner at 62nd and Madison. I had to go see an old friend, whom I had lost contact with over the years. I made an appointment for a color and blowout for the next day. It was nice to see Rodolfo again, since I could not remember why I went elsewhere to get my hair done. After our initial consultation he gave me the best color and blowout that I have had in several years. I have continued our monthly "date" for the last 3 months and hope that our being reunited will continue into the future. It is always a pleasure to see Rodolfo and have him enjoy the success he has attained over the years. Everyone who works there is so pleasant and the envirionment is so enjoyable. The service is great and prices are reasonable for Madison Avenue.

Big Help

I had a bad hair situation from previous at home coloring and was in desperate need of help. After searching the internet, I went to Rodolfo Valentin's salon for help. Upon my consultation with Rodolfo, he suggested that we go darker in color. He was very concerned with the condition of my hair and informed me that he could repair the damage. With his reassurance he appled a special hair treatment, mixed a wonderful color that was applied by his haircolorist Bea and then added highlights. She did a wonderful job reparing the damage to my hair and made it look great. Bea was personable and fun. She really knew what she was doing with the oversight by Rodolfo Valentin. My hair once again has life and volume. I thank you again Rodolfo Valentin and company.

SPECTACULAR RESULTS

When I came to Rodolfo Valentin for a new hairstyle and color, Rodolfo showed me a portfolio of his clients hair and books with the latest styles and colors. This consultation was the most important step in making the best choice for my hair type and maintenance requirements. Rodolfo took the time to explain which products would help me to achieve the same look at home that he produced in the salon. We decided that for me to achieve my new look it would require Rodolfo's hair infusions, hair color and cut. The results were SPECTACULAR. Thank you Rodolfo and your team of professional. I also receive many compliments from my friends and husband. I definately will be back. I highly recommend this salon.

Simply the BEST

I Love Rodolfo. He is the BEST hair stylist and the BEST hair colorist in New York City. He has been doing my hair for several years. Cut, color and infusions and I am always happy with the results. I never received compliments on my lifeless hair before Rodolfo got a hold of it. He is wonderful at giving recommendations for different hair types and lifestyles. I have referred many friends and family to Rodolfo's and everyone is amazed at how well he seems to "know"what it is that works best for them. Simply, Rodolfo loves what he does. He is committed to making his clients happy and consistently gives the best cut and color in NYC.

Best Salon in the World

I have always wanted to have more than anaverage hair beauty salon. At Rodolfo Valentin I got more that what I havewanted. His love, passion, experience and knowledge about the complexity ofhair, a hair coloring and hair addition is beyond to compare. Going to RodolfoValentin Salon, is such a pleasing experience. The staff is professional,friendly and warm. The Salon itself has an opulent and vibrant atmosphere.Every time I have to have my hair done, it’s like I am treating myself to anexquisite experience like no other. One of the reasons why I always lookforward to going to Rodolfo Valentin, in my point of view, this is the bestsalon in the city. I am coloring my hair from several years, and although thereare no similar statistics for products used in hair salons, and if it is truethat the vast majority of women are hiding their gray as myself, most of thepopular brands does not last long covering it and in a few days the gray colorshows because the color wash out! As many of my friends I also even tried to doit myself buying the hair-coloring product from the drugstore. After all thatdependency I was ready to give up until I meet the legendary genius RodolfoValentin. He explained to me that the major difference is that a professionalcolorist can custom blend a specific color and control the amount of peroxideused. With this conscious blending, the color will last longer. The onlyunavoidable problem is how much your hair grows, but the answer is to retouchonly the roots and using only deposit colors. I never expect that I will havethe time to make this report, but after so many years he gave me back my hairhappiness. Thank you Rodolfo, artists like you should live forever!
