The most glamorous party in Manhattan is located at the premier address of Manhattan, Stone Rose at the Time Warner Center. Rated as the swankiest lounge in New York City by Vogue Magazine, Stone Rose emanates style and sophistication. The creation of hotel-bar titan Rande Gerber, Stone Rose, is an expansive 5,500 square foot lounge located on the fourth floor of the prestigious five-star Time Warner Center, unequivocally the most celebrated address on the perimeter of Central Park.
Known the world over as the lounge destination for the privileged and the beautiful, Stone Rose at the Time Warner Center has played host to many celebrities, socialites, fashionistas and young financiers
Stone Rose exudes a sensual aura where the lights are dim and the energy is high. The sweeping views from the expansive floor to ceiling walls of windows overlooking Central Park and Columbus Circle are incomparable. Stone Rose, a perfect backdrop to ring in 2009! The decor of posh banquettes, plush sofas and geometric chairs accents the sexual undertones of STONE (masculinity) and ROSE (femininity). The contrasting elements define this watering hole to the fabulous. The cool marble dance floor will heat up with a world renowned DJ spinning sets of hip hop, rock, dance and 80's and the warm rosewood paneled nooks sets the perfect ambiance for when you want to chill.
Stone Rose is your New Year's Eve 2010 destination of choice to revel, romance, dance & merry-make!

I don't even know where to begin...
Last week a date took me to Stone Rose for drinks and the view. The view was great. That was the only thing that was great. The service was the worst I have had anywhere! The bouncer was flirting with some girl on our way in and didn't even notice us standing there until we asked to be seated. He was very nice as he was seating us, but it was the beginning of a very long evening.
We waited for 10 minutes before anyone even took our order and our waitress treated us like we were a major inconvenience. We could see her standing near the bar talking and flirting with the bouncer while we sat and waited for our drinks. (Same thing happened when we wanted to order another round, which took another 15 minutes just to flag her down). The waitresses all acted like they were hot s**t and wayyyy to busy to be bothered to serve drinks...you know, it's not like it's their job or anything! I hate to break it to you, but tiny skirts, boots and cleavage don't cover up the fact that most of you are way past your prime in a job you probably took while you attempted to "make it big" elsewhere. Good luck, I hope you like waitressing.
We tried to make the best of the situation, after all the view really is beautiful, but the flirtatious staff and long waits for expensive drinks made this a terrible date. An hour and a half and two drinks later we decided to go elsewhere. On our way out the staff was too busy to say goodbye and the bouncer was busy fliritng again. (What is this place a big singles bar for the staff to meet people?!!)
There are plenty of places that are more accommodating and not as stuck up as Stone Rose. I would not recommend this place to anyone but people on business meetings with corporate cards and no souls (they will fit right in).
- Pros: The view is amazing
- Cons: The staff is in high school
Let's get ready to rumble!

Stone Rose on a Saturday night is laden with half nked chubby 25 year-olds staring at their own reflections while practicing dance moves on the bathroom line. Egotistical bouncers named Andre pick fights wtih patrons in order to showcase their old high school wrestling moves (see other posts, this is not a one off incident). Staff breathe down your neck and tell you whatever spot you are standing in is 'reserved,' after they use the threat of Andre's Full Nelson to make you move. The recession will hopefully force this place to learn some manners. Spend your hard earned money at an establishment that actually values its customers.
What fun! Great drinks, great appetizers, friendly staff

I went there in mid-December with friends, and we had a blast. The drinks are great, and I loved the food. The staff was great, very polite and attentive. Very comfortable; we spent a couple of hours there. If you're ever in Manhattan, it's worth a stop.
over rated tourist trap

friends and i went recently, the food was horrible and the manager and bouncer were actually so rude that we ended up leaving early; i was waiting on line for the bathroom on a saturday nite when a female mgr jumped the ridiculously long line (only 2 stalls), when another patron asked her what she was doing, she announced that she was a manager and that if the patron had an issue with that she should leave. Two minutes later a bouncer came in and asked the girl that complained to come with him and that she needed to leave. it was like the gestapo - no joke - who do these people think they are? Randy Gerber needs to stop in and see what his staff are up to - nice view - trashy staff - I will not go back
- Pros: nice view
- Cons: rude staff, terrible food
upscale place with poor service

I have heard about Stone Rose a lot so me and my friends to go there. We went there on Thursday night and it was half empty. It's was all right beause we weren't looking for a big crowd. I expected more from this place. I didn't really like the atmosphere there. We got a table and had to wait for a waiter to take an order forever even though it wasn't busy. When we wanted to order a second round we had to look for a waiter. All drinks are $16-18 so you expect a better service. I don't mind paying if the service and drinks are good. I don't think it's a lot to ask. So I don't think I will go back there.
- Pros: nice crowd
Awesome Spot to Chill
by dreamweaver11 at Citysearch
Went there on a sat night and they easily accommodated a few friends of mine. The place was very chill with a good crowd. You can actually hear the person you are speaking to! The drinks are a nice pour and the DJ spins some good music. I highly reccommend if you are looking to hang with a few friends and have a nice night out.
- Pros: chill vibe, good music, nice view
- Cons: service was a bit slow
Very overrated and pretentious uptown bar

I went to Stone Rose with a friend on a Thursday night. The ambience is good if all you are looking for is a noisy place with lots of men in suits and peroxide blonde waitresses with silicone in short dresses. It's definitely not a place to take a date as it is too noisy. It's good for after work drinks with work colleagues. The music is lousy and inconsistent swaying from contemporary rock to hip hop. The snacks are overpriced but below average. Surprisingly, the service was pretty good. It's probably not a great place to meet people if you are a woman because most of the men clad in suits who were ogling at the waitresses were wearing wedding bands. If you are a man, the chances of meeting women are probably pretty high as there was a good single women's scene. Overall, I wasn't impressed but I wouldn't say "stay away."
- Pros: Service, Waitresses
- Cons: Food, Music, Pretentious crowd
Upsclae lounge to hang out with friends

I went to Stone Rose a few weeks ago with a handful of friends to celebrate my birthday. I called ahead of time to make a reservation. The girl on the phone seemed a bit spacey, she first said they were booked but then told me we could have a table if we left by a certain time, which was fine because we were planning on going to a club afterwards. Upon arrival, we checked our coats (free coat check) and were taken to the couch area next to the large windows that was reserved for us. The bar area was very crowded, many beautiful woman, but can't say the same for the guys. My friends and I ordered appitizers, chicken fingers were really great, a bottle of wine and cocktails. The waitress was attentive, refilled wine glasses, although she wasn't that good a pouring it. We sat on the couches, enjoyed the view and talked to ourselves as we were separated from the rest of the walk-in crowd. There was a wait for the bathroom as there are only two stalls. Drinks were the usual pricey ones you get at most upscale lounges. Good place to go with friends if you like lounges, not so sure if it's a good place to meet people, but like I said, bar area was crowded but didn't see any cute guys.
- Pros: Reserved areas to talk to friends
- Cons: Seperated crowd areas
Interesting reviews!

I'm not sure why the reviewers of this place, the Stone ROse are so bent on calling each other names and giving the other a hard time about their opinions. Opinions are what makes us different. Im going there tonight so will write my review after, right now I guess it a rating of average since I have'nt experienced it yet. But wow, reviewers can be pretty mean! New YOrk city , dont you just adore its people!
