Charged my credit card more than 3x my bill!!!!!
by HiroIsTheWorst
I used my credit card at the bar after waiting forever for every drink. I checked my credit card statement and they literally charged more than 3x my bill! I've heard of them doing this to other people too. I can't believe they would pull something like that. I'm never going back except to talk to a manager
- Pros: Ok music, pretty girls
- Cons: Crowded, waitstaff, bouncers, expensive, bad setup
decent, decor hasnt changed in over a year
by daniellekeeps
I like hiro, but its usually pretty crowded, i guess a lot of other people like it as well. expect to pay premium nyc prices for drink ~12 for a mixed drink
its a bit hard to get the drinks as well, but i usually tip $2-3 on the first drink or 2 until the bartender remembers me and then usually i get expedited service.
try it out its hard to be opinionated about a night club, some nights can go well others can go horribly wrong with fights and such
- Pros: large area with a lot of people
- Cons: a little crowded, expensive bottle service
Too Expensive
by HLee82
The neighborhood is nice and the place looks nice from the outside, but once you get in, you notice how the bouncers let so many people in that the place can hardly accommodate. The price list is too much for what you get. Bouncers are obnoxious, just as obnoxious as staff once you get indoors! That's the last thing you need when you go to a club!
- Pros: Atmosphere, Food Place Next Door
- Cons: Space overpacked, All Asians, Obnoxious Bouncers/staff
No Worth It!!!
by Salcheung
At Hiro you're guaranteed to pay over $100 for the night on admission fee, and a few drinks easily adding up. I figured the drinks would be good since it cost so much but it's pretty weak, which is surprising. I waited fifteen minutes until someone came along to take my order. It's not like I did'nt try to wave the bartender down, I was just ignored. Lines are long and they let too many people in for the space they have.
- Pros: Pretty faces
- Cons: Drinks, Prices are $$$$, Waitstaff, Lines
Not the best crowd, but outside of that really good

Went there for a bday celebration tonight. We did a table with bottle service. Went with 9 guys and 9 girls, but our group originally showed up with 9 guys and 4 girls (with a group of 5 girls coming later). We only got two bottles, but the doormen were cool enough to let our entire group skip the line, and just have the people not getting bottle service to pay the cover. No issue was given to our skewed guy to girl ratio either. We told the doormen that a group of 5 girls would be coming and gave their name, he told us to have them ask for him and he'd take care of them. All the negative reviews about the doormen may or may not be true, but I experienced real cool and polite doormen tonight. After the bottles were polished I went to the bar for a drink. $11 for a Crown Royal in a NYC nightclub is not overpriced IMO, so again the reviews about overpriced drinks I can't really understand either. The space is big and the tables are nice. My only complaint is the crowd wasn't that great....how much that matters can vary, but it certainly keeps this place from getting 5 stars.
- Pros: Polite Doormen, Spacious Club, Reasonable Drink Prices
- Cons: Crowd wasn't the best
Uncivilized and Disgusting Bouncers.
by TracyFlick84
These bouncers unfortunately portray a negative lower-soc-economic stereotype placed on them by society down to a T. Angry. Wanting a fight. Wearing a doo rag to their place of employment. Wash your hair! They angrily and intimidatingly verbally assaulted my friend for simply waiting for me at the door for me, and started yelling at him 2 inches away from his face. When I asked them what they thought they were doing, they escorted me out of the club, pushing me (a 116 pound female) out. It is one thing for a bouncer to be firm, but it a completely different thing for him to be disrespectful and telling us "to come back so they can fight us." My friend was in the Navy, and because he was taught class there, he kept himself from an altercation with them after much of my convincing. Perhaps they think they are God's Gift because this is their job. Perhaps I should feel bad because they are probably not formally educated, and that they will never amount to anything but opening and closing a velvet rope for the rest of their lives for people making 30 times their salary. But in all honestly I am shocked Hiro would employ them, because I genuinely used to like Hiro.
nice place, horrible DJs
by hiimdh
Nice place. overpriced drinks like any other place. crowded because they put tables everywhere, obviously to make more money. dance floor could be much bigger, but it wouldn't matter because the DJ's (all three) are horrible. I've been there several times and all three times, the DJ was disappointing. They couldn't transition songs to save their lives, which left people standing around the dance floor waiting for the next song. I'd recommend this place if the music wasn't so bad. My winamp playlist could do a better job.
- Pros: ambience
- Cons: DJ's

it's a nice looking club; however, it's got the most disrespectful bouncers out of hundreds of clubs i've been to.
WORST CLUB CELEBRATION
by liablexfate
After tonight's experience, I can conclude that this is the worst place to celebrate one's birthday party. First of all, they are SO MONEY HUNGRY. They would persistently come to your table until they receive their payment + tip. My friend had her birthday party there tonight. She was a little tipsy and was obviously forgiveable since it was her birthday. Right after they collected the money, they told her she was too drunk to stay at the club. She sat on the couch to rest as the bouncer persisted that she leave the club. The bouncer forced her to leave claiming she was, "endagering others" when she was just a LITTLE TIPSY. It was 1:40am. Her birthday party ended after paying $650.
- Pros: The decoration is nice.
- Cons: Cheap and grimey staff.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMP
by KAC32
Last night I was invited to Hiro for a friends birthday. Lets start for the RUDE ladies who took my money at the front although my friend had a table. Once inside I made the way to the bar where I was treated to more rudeness by the WORST bartender I have ever encountered. The woman who was bartending didn't want to help me, made me the wrong drink and then seemed surprised her tip wasn't large enough. Heres a tip for HIRO, hire a whole new staff and a tip to everyone else stay away from this place the bar upstairs is much nicer.
