Wanted to run in for a bottle for my friend's birthday party at 9:01 (customers were still in line), and the staff was so rude about it. Went down the street to the Mini Mart and they were much cooler.

The darling owner is very knowledgable and I always buy what she recommends. I am never disappointed. The staff is alright, they know their stuff but are not that friendly. They always have bad/questionable music on. I get a bit agitated when I'm looking for wine and the shop is blasting dance music. Regardless, its a cozy place with lovely and affordable wines from all over the world, along with, ports, mixers, scotch, liquors - something that is much needed in this secion of Williamsburg.
Pros: Great selection, location, owner is knowledgable.
Cons: needs a larger local New York Wine section, some of the staff is bored.

This is a great little shop for finding something unique and different . Very international selection of wines if you are looking for something as a gift, or to try something different. No need tot ake the L train into the city to go to other speciality shops
Pros: selection and quality, friendly staff that knows wine

This place is so neat. It's small and cozy, yet seems to still have an excellent selection. True, you won't find a wine under $7 here, but you will find the best wines, period. I've tried many different brands from here, and never had a bad one. This place is great.
Pros: Great selection
Cons: Can be on the pricey side, but still a lot of great value wines

I recently visited Brooklyn from San Francisco. I am intimately familiar with the wine country here and consider myself knowledgeable about wines. I stopped in at the Bottle Shoppe to browse and was blown away by owner Victoria. She delivers her extensive knowledge of the wines she sells with the familiarity of an old friend -- simple, unpretentious and to the point. I purchased several bottles and I must say, she was right on -- and great value, too!
