STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by paddy43
I signed a contract & left a $1000 deposit on a car that they were to hold for me until I secured a mortgage on a house that I was buying & then I was to return & apply for financing for the car. ten days later I seen the exact car on their website for $5000 less than they told me was the list price. I called & left the sales rep. David Garcia a message to explain how this could be, he never returned this call or the five other messages that I left for him over the next five days. When I did finally get through to him he claimed not to know what was going on & passed my call to his manager Jack Lament who told me that the car was sold. He told me that Honda put the car up for sale on the website & another dealer ship sold the car. I told him I was prepared to let them make it up to me by offering me a deal on another car. When I never received the deal I called Honda & they said that the individual dealerships are responsible for listing cars on there website. I then called Paragon Honda & gave a false name & inquired about 'my car' & was told that it was still available. I called Jack again & mentioned all this to him and also asked for him to return my deposit. He told me to sue him for the deposit because he felt that I was questioning his integrity. I also want to mention that after I signed the contract that David, Jack & another manager all tried to pressure me into applying for a loan for the car that day.
Anyone know a good lawyer? Jack claims that the car was sold three weeks ago & I still do not have my $1000 deposit.
- Cons: They do not stand by their word.
Unfortunate Experience
by twosday
We have been overcharged for service on our Honda several times here. The only reason we returned was to keep our expensive warrantee, which , it turns out was hardly ever applied for service. Our car was actually in worse shape when we left, and returned to us with warnings of parts being worn out. They had not fixed anything, and laughed at our protestations. We then had a big quarrel on our hands on a bill that was twice what we were promised, with nothing done besides an oil change. We couldn't wait to get out of there.
- Cons: Not Good
DO NOT EVEN WALK IN TO PARAGON HONDA!
by Anonymous25961
IF U DO NOT WANT TO READ THIS DETAILED WARNING JUST STAY AWAY FROM PARAGON HONDA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ....... I walked into Paragon Honda with no intension of buying a car. Just to sit inside and see how the new honda accord coupe felt like. I asked a gentlemen for a test drive and he said ''sure''. I test drove the car and loved it, but I knew i could not afford it because I did not have a big enough down payment. So he asks how much I would be willing to put down, and i said the most was 3 grand and i need monthly payments of $300 max!. He immediately try to sell me the car, saying that it would be no problem to get me into a $28k car for $300 per month. I was very skeptical, but being that were in such an economic crisis and car dealerships are giving amazing offers, I assumed they were desperate to get rid of the car. So Im there for about 4 hours doing all the paper work. And he says the car will be ready for me in the morning. I get there in the morning and im waiting for about another 6 hours until they brought me to the finance room to sign the deal and drive my new accord away. Im about to sign the papers and the financial accountant tells me my monthly payment would be a whopping $692 per month!. I immediately said thats impossible, when this entire time the salesman said I would have monthly payments of 300$. I wanted my down payment back and they tried getting me into every single honda civic in the dealership, and kept telling me i need to be more flexible with the payments. I told them i could only afford $300 monthly payments and they kept insisting. Bringing numbers down as low as $358 per month. I left the dealer and I am still awaiting for them to credit my account 3 grand( it has been about 3 days). TAKE IT FROM ME. DO NOT GO TO PARAGON HONDA! THEY WILL TRY AND SELL YOU DREAMS AND WHEN ITS TIME TO SIGN AWAY THE DREAM IS SHATTERED!!!!! DO NOT GOTO PARAGON HONDA.
- Pros: NONE!
- Cons: my review says it all

Paragon Honda, not a pleasant experience

I wanted to purchase a pickup truck from this place that had a really good list price. I call up the sales rep, and try to schedule that i can come and look at the vehicle. They say its available, and when i get there, it was sold the day before, and had me looking at other trucks i was not interested in. Today i get a call that the same truck is available only at $5,000 more than what it was listed for before...i would steer clear of this place.

I was there this week, First, they tacked on $4000 worth of options at no charge to us! The best experience I have ever had with a car dealer bar none! The sale people are courteous and eager to please!

I called in October about a car that had been listed since 4/30/07. They said it was still there. When I walked into the dealership a few days later, I asked about the car, a silver '98 BMW 328i. It had been sold.
As of 10/21/07, It's still listed on the New York Times, Autotrader, and other websites. I can't provide the link because citysearch won't let me post the urls, but the VIN is WBACD4322WAV61340, and it was listed at $4,926 with around 77K miles.
Classic example of a phantom car that a disreputable dealership uses to lure stupid people who allow themselves to be upsold to a more expensive car. I had a feeling that the car was too good to be true, but I wanted to give Paragon a chance to show that it deserved my business. After all, they told me the car was there. However, their policy is to lie to direct questions over the phone and in person. If you're smart enough to check out citysearch, please learn from the benefit of my experience and disregard the obvious dealer-written review that skews Paragon's rating upward. That having been said, if you are optimistic enough to ignore this warning, you deserve to get taken.
Obviously, the people running Paragon would rather skin the sheep than shear them.
Good luck finding a car,
The guy who found a real BMW at a better price.
- Pros: None.
- Cons: The dealer's policy is to maximize volume and profit off the meek and uninformed.
wasted my time, gas and toll money

They advertised a vehicle for sale that I called in about to make sure it was still available right before I drove the hour to get there. I made it clear that I was far from them and that I really only wanted to see that car. Miraculously the car was sold ten minutes before I arrived. They went so far as to say that the woman was in the back signing the papers. When I opened the door, surprise, surprise there was no one there. Then they changed their story and said it was sold yesterday. Of course, since I was already there they wanted to show me older and more expensive cars w/ high mileage. I made it quite clear that I was on to their bait and switch game and immediately left. There is an old saying, "If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably isn't " !!!!!!!!!!
One of the worst used car places
by earthguy2001
I was there last week, and it was just the worst possible experience. First, they tacked on $4000 worth of additional warranties without telling us, and the only way we found out was because the monthly payment was geater than what I expected. Then, they told us the only way we would get a lower APR is if we bought the additional warranties, which we refused. Next, they told us there were some issues with registration, and asked us to come back later. And when we went the next day, they told us they would not sell us the car unless we bought the additional insurance. It was possibly the worst car buying experience of our lives.
Not to mention that the sales guy was hitting on my friend, would try to touch her at every possible opportunity, and took the liberty of calling her "babe" and "honey" despite being given the cold shoulder. I would not recommend going to this place even if it was the last dealer in town.
- Pros: None
- Cons: Almost everything
