With so many bars and clubs in NYC--especially on the LES--there is absolutely no reason to visit the Delancey. I went there this past Saturday for a friend's birthday party and had a MISERABLE time. First of all, the place was packed with a bad, beyond B&T, crowd. The music sucked. The tubby, unstylish doorman had a sour attitude--instead of POLITELY asking me to reenter the club from the main entrance, he threatened to kick me out when I innocently tried to get back into the bar through a side door I'd just exited (and saw others coming back in through). Then, when we left, a girl wearing a weave tried to start a fight with me, for now apparent reason. All in all, the place is ghetto and uncool.
