Chic, colorful beauty and home goods in a cleverly-designed space.

by Sandra Ramani at Citysearch

The Scene
Like their famous blossom-topped candles, Red Flower's first retail space celebrates texture. Sections of the floor are inlaid with sand, rocks and flora, while mobiles and sculptures made from found objects are worth closer inspection. Guests are welcomed with cups of flower tea, and the store maintains a relaxed, neighborhood-y vibe by encouraging shoppers to hang-out on the couch and chat; low-key parties are often on the schedule.

The Goods
The real draw is, of course, the products. The lovely, brightly-colored signature candles are made from the best ingredients, with each evoking a scent closely associated with a particular place; fragrances like Japanese Peony, Thai Honeysuckle, Himalayan Larch and Italian Blood Orange instantly change the mood of any space. Celebrating the idea of ritual, Red Flower also offers unique items like copper prayer bowls (to place the dried herbs), flower teas and bombillas (silver tea-straws. ) A range of colorful, perfectly-round soaps (which massage hands as you roll them around) and gorgeously-scented body lotions and shower gels bring beauty to the bathroom.
