These other reviews must be for a different place!

This place is very entertaining! Maybe if these other "bloggers" know WTF they are talking about. Blue Moon, not made by Sam Adams. Seriously, if you were given a taste test of the Wheat Beers you couldn't tell the difference. As for the others, I don't know what an opine is and I'm not sure you know what spellcheck is either. Bottom line is it's up to the individual to have a good time. So lighten the f**k up and enjoy your life. You're "opine" doesn't mean sh*t in the long run. Go there and have a good time and stop complaining!
Horribe Management - Good staff and food

I have been going to Tonic every week for about 8 months. They used to have Blue Moon and Magic Hat 9 and I asked the owner/manager why they got rid of them. He said it was too expensive and decided to replace Blue Moon with Shock Top but funny thing is they are still charging the same as when it was Blue Moon. Blue Moon was even one of the highest selling beers there. He then asked me if I could tell the difference and I said I could, to which he said I was full of sh*t. Now that summertime is here they have started to carry Sam's Summer Ale, although it has been out a few times.
I keep going because the bartenders are really cool and fun. However, they have let a few go for no apparent reason. They also have ~6 big project TVs for sports.
Great bar as long as you don't have to talk to management, still a little surprised at how rude the owner/manager was.
- Pros: Bartenders, good food, beer (if its on tap)
- Cons: Management
My New Favorite Lunch Spot
by asca175
I LOVE eating lunch here. The food is awesome, the portions are great and I love the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Joe, the manager, is the best. If you haven't gone there yet, you should! You won't be disappointed.
- Pros: Delicious Lunch Specials at an Amazing Price
- Cons: Too Many Tempting Desserts
Good on an empty night

I have been to this Times Square Bar twice. The first time was a busy Saturday night in autumn and it was very crowded. There was absolutely no place to breathe. I hated it then. But, last week I met with some old friends at Tonic on the night before Thanksgiving, and it was perfect. We had some good drinks, lotsa laughs, and got a table immediately. The service was good too, though the waitress had never heard of Blue Moon made by Sam Adams!!!

good food. but agree with last review rude hostile bouncers. and yes i was charged different prices everytime when seated at the bar
- Pros: food
- Cons: service
Not recommended at all ( go there if u want to be affronted )
by cooolg
This place sucks..the bar tenders are dupery (this has happened twice now, that they have charged me extra for drinks and then later escape by apologizing ), the black bouncers are awful ( they r hostile, don't know how to talk or behave to customers. they don't deserve to be in NY ), the service is hopeless,pathetic..This place is not recommended at all. one person can be wrong but if 10 people have the same opine then it has to be true. I would rather quit drinking but won't go to this place again in my life..No matter what.
- Pros: location ( at times square ) that's it
- Cons: the hostile bar tenders and bouncers. poor service

really cool place. awesome big screens for games. they had a great cocktail menu, great wings, by far the best i've had in the city yet. the service was awesome. our waitress kristen was great! she was adorable and funny. we never had an empty drink on the table.
highly recomend for after theater hang out, definatly great for watching a game.
- Pros: great service, great food.
- Cons: music was a little too loud.

I live in Maine and while surfing the net I stumbled across the video of TONIC. WOW. This looks like a fun and wild place. I can't wait to try a lobster. Check it out if you are local and write some detailed news so we know what we're in for!
Think they're better than they are...

Times Square tourist trap with some staff who think they're working at a much cooler club. Although they do have nice TV's for game watching during the day, pay attention if you open a tab. From several experiences it's not clear that much attention is paid to drinks being assigned to the correct tabs.
- Pros: Good TV's
- Cons: location, staff attitude
Solid midtown sports bar

I have been to Tonic several times and always enjoy the atmosphere, food, and drinks. My favorites are the Fuji Apple Salad, wings, and the fajitas. The scene is good, too. It just depends on when you go. After work there is a good happy hour and toward the later hour the music gets pumping and the lights are dimmed. One Sunday night I wandered in and they had karaoke. The bartenders sang as well- really entertaining. Overall, I would recommend this as a nice place to have a low-key after work gathering or come on the weekends with friends for the karaoke.
- Pros: Great location, pretty staff, good food, some cool signature drinks
- Cons: Times Square prices
