Great to have fresh-cooked vegetarian options while having coffee. Lot of regulars give it a local feel, but not too offputting. Overall solid. Really enjoyed the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich made with seitan and soy cheese.

I have been to 'Snice three times now. In general, I have found the staff to be fine. Not overly friendly, but not rude either. As one person said before, I don't think that you can expect much more than that these days. That being said, I think that the food is fantastic! I love the food choices that they offer. I have tried one of the salads and one of the wraps, and both were excellent. I know that my husband, a non-vegetarian, would love the food here as well. I haven't tried any of the treats yet, but they do look good. It is exciting to find a cafe serving mainly veggie and vegan food in a nice, bright open atmosphere. I think that the pricing is fair, knowing the cost of food these days. I actually think that their coffee prices are lower than normal. It was packed today when I arrived, so they must be doing something right.

  • Pros: excellent veggie/vegan food
  • Cons: service was a little slow

I'd have a lot of trouble returning to 'snice because of the snarky staff. The woman seem indifferent, which I am fine with, but the tall guy with the backwards cap has a REAL bad attitude. Details are irrelevant. I DON'T NEED TO BE MADE TO FEEL BAD BY COFFEE DUDE! To the point I felt uncomfortable. Begrudgingly, with instant regret, I even tipped him a dollar for a cup of coffee, no thanks of course (that is against the rules in the hipsters guide to being rude to people.) I've read several other reviews here and apparently this is a pattern and one the owner seems comfortable with. So, DO NOT GO THERE. Don't know if you have noticed, but there is no shortage of coffee places in NYC. Can't wait to see what goes in that place next. Food is fine, coffee is great. Atmosphere is perfect, just get rid of that guy and others that people have complained about! One star because coffee dude made my coffee taste sour today.

I am a fan of their coffee but not their lids. I am giving up on 'Snice for the main fact that heir coffee is on the higher side of the price scale and their coffee lids are cheap. every time I have attempted to get coffee from them the coffee has spilled all over me. I'm sure you could probably figure out where I work in relation to snice because of the coffee trail that I leave. It's just not cool to overcharge and then serve it to you in a cheap cup/lid combo. I also find their food to be a bit overrated... still tasty though.

  • Pros: Good vibe
  • Cons: Horrible Containers

When I say Snice is my favorite place to eat, I am not joking. I would rather eat at Snice then any number of pricey Vegan eateries. It is a casual counter service place with the world's most amazing simple vegan and vegetarian food. Amazing sandwiches, and salads, burritos, breakfast food, so far I haven't had anything I haven't liked. Also very Kid friendly, great desserts including amazing vegan cupcakes, vegan ice cream cookie sandwiches, cookies, shakes. Other vegan/vegetarian places get a bit extreme omitting all refined sugar and flour, but Snice is a healthy balance of meatless, and tasty comfort food. They use white bread with some of the sandwiches, but it is high quality french bread, I am sure if you wanted only wheat you could get it. You can take a meat eater, and they will still leave happy. My only complaint is that they took my favorite sandwich off the menu, the Nicose sandwich it was true heaven on this planet. And of course they have take out, so if you are in the area you can always bring a little Snice home.

  • Pros: Menu, prices, cupcakes!
  • Cons: They sometimes change the menu, and if you fall in love with something you are S.O.L.

I am neither vegan nor a vegetarian. So much so that my girlfriend was and I converted her to be a carnivore. But at times she will bring me to restaurants like this.

I was very happy that she did! The food is great! Service is fast and friendly and the atmosphere is hip and comfortable.

I may not convert, but I will eat here again and again and again?

  • Pros: Great food, atmosphere, Service
  • Cons: a tad pricey but worth it

Some of the best sandwiches in town! Most are vegan but have the option of real cheese! Definitely a lunch cafe!

I had the Soyvlaki today for lunch and took it to go. By the time I got back to the office, the grease from my sandwich had soaked half the paper bag. I've never seen reagular meat souvaki's this greasy but i'm willing to look past this since the sandwich tasted pretty good. I'm sure their other sandwiches are better so i plan to go back again soon.

  • Pros: Food
  • Cons: greasy, a little pricey

S'nice is a charming place in the west village with the best paninis EVER. In the mood for a hands-down delicious pressed sandiwch (they're huge, I often save the other half for dinner), I recommend the tri-color panini with gorgonzola, the melted fontina and sundried tomato pesto, or the grilled veggie one. You can't go wrong. It's also a nice eatery for those stressed out days at work and you're looking for a semi-quiet lunch break - pull up a chair, a magazine, zone out. The staff is very friendly - think earthy granola hipsters.

  • Pros: Quick and friendly service
  • Cons: Limited options

I LOVE this place. The staff is friendly and lively, the crowd is young and political, and the food is to die for. I am addicted to the vegan panini -- not because I'm vegan (I'm not even vegetarian) but because it is so delicious. Their pesto is better than anywhere else in the city. S'Nice is a great place to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon, or just to stop by for a quick bite. The only thing I'd change: when you get your sandwich to go you don't get a comp salad. And the comp salads are so good, you really feel like you're missing out...

  • Pros: Food, service, crowd
  • Cons: Seating is cramped
