AWESOME BAR

I actually had my friends come down to black finn for my bday it was soooooo much fun and everyone had an awesome time...the staff was great! Def recommend this bar....I actually went to turtle bay right after and it was the worst decision I ever made.

• Pros: service is great! Great atmosphere what a bar should be like

A place to start the evening

Go there a lot with co-workers/friends after work to start the night. People have to realize not to go to these places for the night. Just start it off. Black Finn..Metro...Murphy's..PignWis...all the second ave pubs/wanabe clubs are start off's not all nighters. Don't buy the bs waistband.

Fun spot

was here for happy hour last night. really way more then I expected. good happy hour special and good music. good appetizers. we all will be back regularly. definitely seems to be one of the better times in midtown. give it a shot

every night of the week is fun and cheap!

I am not a fan of midtown bars, but I came here for a birthday party last Spring and my girlfriends and I have been hooked ever since. First of all, if you're on a budget, this bar has the best drink specials ever! Our favorite nights to go are Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays-Saturday nights are fun too though. The DJ on Thursdays is AMAZING! Every time I go there I ask him the titles of the songs he plays bc it's such good music that you don't normally hear. I'm not into sports, but my boyfriend is and we started going on Sundays together for game specials/beer pong/great food! Also, if you don't like bar food I recommend their salads or Ahi Tuna :)

Great Happy Hour

I went to Black Finn once and I took advantage of the $20 All You Can Drink Special. However, when I got my drink, it was weak. :( As you can see, I am not the first to post this.

I will vist them again and hope that the drinks are made better the next time. Update to follow.

• Pros: Happy Hour for $20
• Cons: Can get too crowded... especially on game nights

BEST BAR IN MIDTOWN MANHATTAN

If you haven't gotten the chance to visit this gem of an establishment you're missing out. Some girlfriends and I had visited this bar last weekend and took advantage of their all you can drink special. Our open bar's lasted for three house and was only $30. The service was quick and friendly so we certainly got our moneys worth. As for the crowd, I haven't seen so many good looking people in the confines of one bar!

Great Happy Hour Spot for $20!

this has got to be one of the better locations located in the heart of the city. i love the $20 open bar, and i definitely get my money worth. the place is usually packed so dont expect a lot of table service. sadly, the open bar is only for beers and house alcohol. four stars!

Fun Place

Not sure why this place got some negative reviews. A friend of mine guest bartended here a few weeks a go. The staff was very nice. Not one time did we get "alcohol free drinks". Staff bought us shots for a birthday and the music was good all night . lots of dancing which was great!! Place got crowded but everyone was in good spirits. Lots of college kids but we all just graduated from NYU and didn't feel out of place. We were actually hanging out with a 30th birthday party who were more drunk then we were! If you're not looking for a club scene, this is a great crowded, loud, fun, bar scene.

• Cons: long bathroom lines

I guess this place isn't awful, but it isn't great either. It gets really crowded, but it's nice if you have one of the booths to sit at. Lots of kids fresh out of college getting wasted. Which can be fun, but they can also get on your nerves pretty quickly.

Great Happy Hour

I was at BlackFinn for happy hour with about 15 girlfriends and all had a really nice time. The bartenders were super friendly! The music was a lot of fun too. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good happy hour in the area. I'm giving 5 stars even though the bathroom lines did get a little long. The evening was one of the best!
