I had an appointment at Wedding Atelier on a Saturday and of course it's the day that brides bring their entourage with them! I had 5 people with me (My mom of course, 2 bridesmaids,my aunt, and a coworker). I expected that we would be asked to make room for other people that might have less people with them. But that never happened. We were shown a fitting room that had wall to wall mirrors. And a lovely chaise for my guests to sit on. I think I had the last appointment of the day , because the store was emptying out. But our consultant was full of energy and gave us the same service as if we were the first appointment! My family was offered water as a refreshment while they waited as I browsed the gowns with my sales assistant. When we came back to the room I had about 7 gowns to try on. All the gowns were lovely and my heart started to melt as I saw the gown I tried on that caught my eye when I first walked in and it was on a mannequin. My mom started to cry and my bridesmaids were speechless! I chose an Alvina Valenta gown with lace all on the satin gown, It was a 2009 style. Needless to say a sale had been made! My sales specialist then helped me pick out a matching veil and jewelery.By this time, it was already 30 minutes past their closing time. AND WE WERE NOT RUSHED LIKE AT KLEINFELD! Before we left I my sales girl hugged me and thanked me for allowing her to partake in this experience. I should be thanking her!!! The sales people and managing staff really care about their brides! I would recommend this salon to every bride. From the moment I made my appointment to my dress decision, I felt pampered and listened to. THIS SALON MIGHT BE SMALLER THAN KLEINFELD, BUT THE SERVICE SPEAKS VOLUMES!!!THANK YOU WEDDING ATELIER FOR HELPING ME FIND MY DREAM DRESS!!!
Pros: DRESSES FOR EVERY PRICE RANGE, MIRROR SPACE, LOVELY STAFF
Cons: NONE :)

I had a horrible time at Wedding Atelier. My consultant did NOT listen at all. I said that A line was my best fit (after trying on several gowns at other salong previously) - she suggested I look around. About 10 minutes later, I had a few dresses and she suggested a few that were not a-lne and looked horrible on me. The dressing rooms were uncomfortably hot. When I say a dress on another bride to be that I liked, I asked if I could try it. She said no because the other bride would be in the dress for awhile (total lie). I can't convey how HORRIBLE the service is here. Not a fun experience at all. Go to Mark Ingram or Kleinfelds for much better service (and selection for that matter).
Pros: NONE!
Cons: Serice, Selection, Dressing Room Comfort.

Had a wonderful time choosing dresses at Wedding Atelier. Andrea could not have been more friendly or calming during my first dress appointment. She only showed me dresses in my price point to make sure I didn't fall in love with anything I couldn't afford and totally got the vision I was looking for. I HIGHLY recommend meeting with her if you make an appointment.
Pros: alterations a la carte, nice staff, nice store

I recently visited Wedding Atelier in search of a bridal gown. My friends had reccommended this location because of it's no pressure attitude. I was not planning to buy my wedding dress on this trip, but I was blown away by the selection of beautiful gowns and impeccable service from my consultant Debra. She made the entire experience stress free and special. She was AMAZING!!!! Any bride would be lucky to work with her. My family and friends felt right at home shopping with me. I left with the most breathtaking dress and a huge smile on my face.
Pros: DEBRA!!
Cons: none

Does anyone know whats going on in this place?! My dress came in late and fitting it was a nightmare..The fitter didnt speak english and i was left alone without getting any guidance from any of the people there. I had to cancel my flights in order for the dress to be finished even after I made special arrangements with my salesperson to pick up my dress on specific dates. Finally the owner came to translate for the fitter, yet they still were having trouble and no one paid any attention to what it was i wanted done to the dress! The owner Carrie was insulting and rude to me and my friends when we showed our frustration that no one knew where my shoes were and that my veil hadnt come in yet after being promised that it would be there for my fitting. After we left I broke down because that was not the experience that I hoped to have for my wedding. And when I went to pick up my dress I was forced to pay for the alterations even after all I went through. I would never recommend them to anyone I know.
Cons: no customer service

Wedding Atelier was by far my best experience in the seach for a wedding gown. It's a beautiful shop with a good gown selection and huge fitting rooms. Most importantly the staff was fantastic. Specifically, my consultant was Debra. She was sweet, knowledgable, helpful and not the least bit pushy. I've been to other shops where I felt like I was a burden on the employees. This time I felt like I was shopping with a friend. This is a very nice shop without being snobby. I highly recommend checking it out.
Pros: Debra, huge fitting rooms, beautiful salon, reasonable prices (including samples)
Cons: none

I went to Wedding Atelier with my co-worker that's getting a month after me. I unfortunately got my dress from Pronovias. For one Pronovias will tell you that the alterations are free and you think that you are getting a good deal. Then I found out that they already include a set fee within the ticket price of the gown! They outright lie to you to get your money! At Wedding Atelier, the price is signifigantly lower and not only that their alterations along with the gown still are cheaper than pronovias store. My friend is going back next week to purchase her dress. I wish I had gone here first. We were early for our appointment and were still allowed to look through the dresses. At pronovias you can't even touch the dresses! You stay locked in your fitting room! And we were asked to wipe our hands with wipes. This is obviously a couture place as they care for their merchandise so much to keep them clean for brides that might have to purchase off the samples. When our stylist was ready for us, we were shown to the most amazing fitting room. I couldn't belive that this entire room was for her. There were so many mirrors! We tried only a couple since my friend wants theat Cinderella look and they were all similar. When our appointment was over we were given a card and my friend said she'd come back next week to purchase. And I can honeslty say that she wasn't pushed, pressured or looked at for not purchasing on the frist appointment. The sales person was jst as nice as if she was gonna buy. So ladies, check out this lovely boutique and get personal service that makes you feel like the only bride in the store :)
Pros: Intimate Ambiance, warm staff, great prices, gorgeous gowns
Cons: none :)

I would not recommend this place to anybody!!! The service was terrible, and caused me enormous amounts of stress, because I thought the dress would never fit, and I had to make several unplanned trips from Washington DC to NY for the sole purpose of getting the dress altered. Long story short, the seamstress Vivian was abrupt, and had no patience with customers. During my alterations process, my salesperson, Mona, and VIvian were fired, and I was never informed until I showed up for a fitting, where my dress wasn't even at the salon. I had traveled from DC to NY expressly for this appointment and was told that they didn't realize I was the one who was coming, and my dress had been sent to the cleaner. My final appointment was 3 days before my wedding (when I was supposed to be picking up the final finished dress) (also note: I purchased the dress 16 months in advance, and had made already made 5 separate visits to the salon), and instead I had to wait 2 - 2 1/2 hours for the seamstress to make additional alterations. For my last 2 visits, Carrie, the owner, who assured me that the dress would be fitted and done in time, was no where to be found. Overall I was extremely disappointed with their lack of service and lack of responsibility for all the problems they caused. Instead of 2-3 fitting appointments, I made 5-6 trips from DC to NY for the express purpose of getting my dress altered. In the end, the dress did fit, but there were still minor wrinkles and puckering that we couldn't get rid of. For the amount of money we spent on the dress, alterations, and veil, we expected much better service.
Cons: Terrible Service. Caused unnecessary stress. Unreliable

I do all my searches on citysearch all the time for restaurants, events and everything else. In fact, I found Wedding Ateliers from citysearch!! I went to a few places in the city with my friends, Priscilla of Boston, Kleinfelds, and Bridal Reflections before we came to Wedding Atelier and the experience I had at Wedding Atelier was great!! I worked with Carrie, the owner of the store and Xiulian, the seamstress after I found out the sales lady I worked with previously has left when I went back to the store for my first fitting. I cannot tell you how great and helpful both Carrie and Xiulian were. The dress I bought requires a lot of work since it has six layers of laces…and Carrie really took her time to go through all the detailed alternation works with Xiulian to make sure the dress would fit me perfectly. When I told them that I would like to try the dress on again to make sure it really fits when I came in to pick up my dress, they had no problem of letting me try it on even though the dress was already wrapped and packed nicely in a garment bag. They even offered to take the dress back and do some finishing touch for the back of my dress after I pointed out to them that the back part of the laces were sticking out a bit too much. When I realized that the color of the veil I bought from somewhere else didn't match my dress during my final fitting, Carrie offered to make a brand new veil by using the same laces that my dress has for me and Xiulain was able to finish it in less a week (Normally it takes 3-4 weeks to order a customize veil). Overall, the experience I had at Wedding Atelier was amazing and the service was more than what I could ask for!!! I can't wait to wear the gown on my wedding day!! Thanks Carrie and Xiulian for making my gown shopping just a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend everyone go to Wedding Atelier for their gown shopping.
Pros: Ambiance, Great Service, Beautiful gown collections!!!
Cons: None!

i am only giving this place 5 starts because of Debra who helped me. It was friday night that i made an appointment and wanted to come in Saturday the next morning because they were having a sample sale. The dress i've always wanted happened to be 40% off. I was going bananas trying to get in this place. well, it was definately a challenge because no one answered the phone, you would get a machine or someone was too busy to help you and you would get scolded because I didnt book a week in advance. Finally a wonderful woman named Debra, who has the most pleasant voice, called me and told me afternoon appointment canceled and wanted to know if I would like to come by. I rushed over there and she was AMAZING. I'm from California and i didnt have my mom or my friends to be there with me and she made me feel comfortable and told me she was her friend for the day. She's soooo super sweet. Unfortunately the dress i wanted, sold out but she listened to what kind of style I wanted and the first dress that she happened to pull out, was the first dress i tried on and walked out with. She's not pushy or horrible to get a sale, she's reallly sweet, understanding and SHE'S ALSO GETTING MARRIED HERSELF so she UNDERSTANDS what a bride has to go through. She was absolutely a dream to work with and i couldnt have asked for a better experience in getting my wedding gown. DEBRA ROCKS!!!!!
