Great Date Night

My girlfriend never got to go to her Prom, so I thought it would be fun to make her dress up and surprise her by taking her to the Awesome 80s Prom. I am so happy I did, because she had so much fun! Almost every time a new song came on she would scream and say "I love this song!" I was definitely in the minority as a guy, as it was mostly girls, but that didn't matter at all, as my prom date and I had an absolute blast. I highly recommend as a different and fun night out.

• Pros: "Awesome" music
• Cons: Crowded

Mom Even Danced with the Captain of the Football Team...

I went to the Awesome 80's Prom a few weekends ago as part of a 'family reunion in new york' weekend that we do every year. All the women in my family went. I've never had such a great time with my Mom, aunts, and cousins. My mom even danced with the captain of the football team... It was hilarious! And I have pictures to prove it! Definitely go! It's fun for all ages.

• Pros: it's theater and a club at the same time
• Cons: wish we could have partied all night with the cast...

Need something to do on your Saturday nights? Go to Prom!

Tons of fun. We were looking for a good time in the city one Saturday night and Awesome 80s Prom was suggested to us. We were unsure at first, but we went and it really was AWESOME! I highly recommend this to anyone! Great Music. It was really cool interacting with all the characters. The "football quarterback" of the school gave one of my friends special attention which was really funny.

best Saturday night ever!

I went for a girl's night out as an alternative to the usual bar hopping etc and had the bets night with my girlfriends ever. We danced, laughed, drank, and spent way less than we would normally. Another friend of mine is getting married and we're going back for her bachelorette party-- there were tons of them there and they got the royal treatment for sure!

• Cons: nothing!

Changed my mind . . .

Honestly, when a friend offered me an extra ticket to the Awesome 80's Prom, I was a quite leery at first. I was thinking 'Aren't I a bit old for a prom?' I couldn't have been more wrong. This was the experience that I wish I had at my 1980's prom. Great music, people, and dancing! It was so, so refreshing to be surrounded by people actually smiling and having a good time, as opposed to sitting in a stuffy theater. Don't get me wrong, I love and support 'stuffy theater,' but I certainly welcomed a this energetic and well-needed change of pace.

• Cons: only happens on Saturday

Super Sweet 16!

Had my 16th birthday there and loved every minute of it! I really wanted to go to a club and a show, which my parents weren't too keen on. At 80's prom I was able to do both. My friends said I had the best Sweet 16 they've been to so far. (I did) lol

An Unforgettable Saturday Night

So a bunch of my friends just got back from college in the past couple of weeks, so we decided to celebrate by going into the city and taking in a show. We weren't really interested in sitting through some depressing three hour Broadway deal though, so we went to the Awesome 80's Prom that one of my friends' sisters had recommended. We had a rocking good time there. The girls were hot, the drinks were great, and the costumes were ridiculous. Even if you're not a theatre person, this show is a guaranteed good time.

Such a good time!

I went to this show with a bunch of my friends and had the absolute best time! Everyone was so talented and the costumes were so hilarious. Honestly, I think I enjoyed it more than I enjoyed my own prom. If you're interested in a crazy fun Saturday night, you should definitely check out the Awesome 80's Prom!

P.S. The break dancing was way cool.

Misrepresented!

We were a party of 9 - 5 adults and 4 teenagers. We were told this was interactive like Tony and Tina's and Shear Madness and that it would be appropriate for our group. Wrong, wrong, wrong. This was torture. No place to sit unless you had made prior reservations for special seating which we didn't know about. This is geared toward bachelorette parties, not families. The adults wanted to leave early but didn't want to ruin it for our daughters and then found out later that they wanted to leave early! Don't go unless you wear your prom gown and plan to drink a lot.

• Pros: Can't say one good thing about it.

Awesome 80's Prom is a blast!

The guy who posted the last review is crazy, maybe he works for Tony N Tinas and afraid of the competition. I loved it and I've heard nothing but rave reviews from all my friends! I think it's a brilliant interactive spoof of all our favorite 80's cult films.
