Excellent Food, Great Service, Wonderful atmosphere.

I had an amazing meal there last night. I had the best frisee and lardons salad I've had in a while. I also had a couscous which was very good. My buddies had hangar steaks, which they said were just ok. A friend's gf had a hamburger which tasted very good. I don't really like couscous as a rule, but the Madame Samira lamb couscous was very good. The busboys were great; low impact, but appeared magically when they heard a fork dropped and replaced it. They didn't rush us in clearing. The waiter was very solicitous and informed us as to his recs, which were all great. Fantastic lighting, the music was great and not too loud. I came away wondering why there weren't too many people there, which was another great part of it. The noise level was ideal, as the music was soft and you didn't need to scream to converse. They have Leffe on draft, which won us over immediately, as most of the guys are beer afficionados who sorely miss that beer in NY. I almost went out and started to try and pull people in who were outside looking at the menu. I really feel this place deserves a try, if only for how nice the staff is and how peaceful it is there. I am going back to try the tuna or the salmon, as it looked good at a neighboring table. All in all a great experience and we had only walked in because it was on the way to where we were going!

Feel like in paris !!! great restaurant in the ues

I'm happy to have found a decent place on the UES! And the prices are really reasonable as well. We showed up a little after 8 on a Saturday night without a reservation, and were seated after about ten minutes at the bar. We shared a cheese plate to start, which was really great and the perfect appetizer - satisfying, but not overly filling at all. I had the spaghetti carbonara for dinner, which I enjoyed very much (it was SCALDING hot! right down to the last bite!) My husband had the sirloin which came with a divine pepercorn sauce - one of the best I have ever tasted - For dessert, you must try the chocolate soufle with hazelnut ice cream. I ordered it because it reminded me of a wonderful chocolate tart we had in Paris.-The service was smooth and they are very attentionate if you have any questions.-Total cost of two cocktails, bottle of wine, cheese plate, two entrees and dessert - less than $150. We'll be back! Note though, one major con - unisex bathrooms??

Absolutely great

I've dined at Paris Match numerous times and each time seems better than the last. The food is absolutely delicious, classic French with a mix of sushi. The appetizer selections are spectacular and the extensive wine list is more than any diner in New York can ask for. The deserts are also unbelievable. The restaurant has a great location, I like to say its on the corners of Trendy and Fabulous. The outside seating area is great for people watching and just enjoying the hustle and bustle of the over-the-top trendy Upper East side. The inside of the restaurant is also quite stunning. While not exactly quiet, it always feels very intimate and the service has always been above average. I will definitely be dining here quite a few more times. It truly is a great dining experience. My point being: Paris Match rocks!

not to be trusted

This is the first review i have felt compelled to write, and i have lived in this city for nearly a decade. Simply not to be trusted to deliver food. We tried to place an order on seamless web and despite multiple confirmations of receipt of the order, including speaking directly to them, they never received our order. Or at least they told us 2 hours later. I hope no one else makes the same mistake we did- there are far better options for reliable delivery in the area.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. Our waitress was very friendly. The service was fast and everything was cooked right. The food was delicious! I can't wait to go back!

Paris Match est le meilleur!!

Let me say that I have always enjoyed coming to City Search to check out restaurant reviews before visiting. I was surprised to see such a terrible review for Paris Match, as my fiance and I have dined there numerous times and have always had EXCELLENT food AND service. We will continue to dine there because we love the atmosphere and the friendly wait staff. It is one of, if not my favorite, brunch spots in NYC. I also enjoy Artisinal on 32nd and Park, though I find their service is not as good. Anyway, I looked at all the previous reviews (38 in total) and it is clear to me that the 2 terrible reviews (out of the 36 highly positive reviews) seem unfounded. Please don't allow a couple of disgruntled previous employees dissuade you from enjoying a wonderful French bistro! Paris Match est le meilleur!!

EXCELLENT RESTAURANT

Being regulars of Paris Match we must say that it's great to have a restaurant of this quality around the corner of where we live. The service is always welcoming and the brasserie menu as well as the sushi are delicious. As for the last reviewer I have one thing to tell her....body piercing shop is what you might be best at reviewing

I agree with the user who said this place was disgusting. IT IS! the review directly below me was written by a staff member who worked there. I know this because I used to work there and the manager told us to write a good review on this site if we saw a bad one. People-- dont waste your time or money here. The food is overpriced and you dont want to know how the kitchen handles the food-- i do and i never ate there. Thats all I will say about that. Many of the staff do act like they're better than the customers, and we are only being paid minimum wage. We depend on those tips that we rarely get because smart people like the person two reviews below me see this place for what it really is -- A GROSS, OVERPRICED, RUDE MANNERED SH*T HOLE! People-- do NOT go here!!

Cozy bistro - great food, wonderful staff!!

I am surprised to read such a bad review of Paris Match -- I've been a long-time customer who has always been pleased by the courtesy and attentiveness of the staff. Also, friends to whom I've recommended the restaurant have told me that the atmosphere is warm, the food is delicious, and they are always treated well (and some of them are quite difficult to please!). Service is professional, and any POLITE request or concern is addressed right away. The food is overall excellent with a great variety of choices, including VERY fresh sushi and sashimi (the Paris Match roll is my favorite!) as well as classic French bistro fare. And to end any meal right, one must have the chocolate fondant cake! I am never disappointed by a meal when I walk out the door of Paris Match, and you certainly don't have to be a regular to have a great experience here.

WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! OVERPRICED FOOD THAT IS GROSS! HORRIBLE PLACE! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

FOOD WAS OVER PRICED FOR WHAT IT WAS. WAITER WAS SOO RUDE! THE BUS BOY WAS MORE ATTENTIVE AND THAT IS NOT SAYING MUCH. WAITER YELLED AT ME WHEN I ASKED FOR MY CHANGE AFTER I HAD BEEN WAITING 13 MINUTES FOR IT. ITS NOT LIKE THE PLACE WAS BUSY EITHER AND NOW I CAN SEE WHY!! NEVER WILL GO BACK AGAIN!! $40 FOR A SMALL SALAD AND SOUP?? SCREW THAT!! WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE! WAITER MADE MY KID CRY!

NOBODY SHOULD EAT HERE!!
