Very cool spot

I heard about Kush from a friend and it totally delivered and was worth the trip downtown. It's a very hip scene and the DJ did a good job reading the vibe of the crowd. The door staff did not have the usual attitude and we found everybody pretty polite- which I guess is the positive side of a bad economy. I am definitely bringing all of my out of town, couch crashing visitors here as this sort of place is what NY is all about.

• Pros: Amazing atmosphere, great DJ
• Cons: Got a bit too crowded

A Real Horror

Well from the start it was difficult, communicating with the GM about getting in and having to reserve a table, we did anyway but we were crammed into a small table. Service was poor but it was Halloween. The place was one big mess.It wasn't as advertised to me over the phone. The thing that creeped me out the most was this guy who was starring at me all nite from the D.J booth. Then everytime I moved it seemed like he was behind me. So I brought it to the attention of my waitress who said " Oh that's my boss, he runs the place" talk about weird. I wont be going back there.

Tried to have Fun

Well I was anticipating a great time for my birthday party, especially after having to agree to all of the guidelines set forth by the manager Tim. Geez you would think I was bookng my wedding. He assured me that he does this all the time. however I have had parties before and He was a little much. Well everyone got in but the place was packed like sardines, you stand a better chance at getting coffee at Grand Central at 7am then this bar. The bar was impossible to reach .some our friends left our table because it was to small. Then there was a problem with the cake. The staff was nice though.

• Cons: Not what I signed up for

Kush’s management is A++

Recently hosted a corporate event at Kush lounge. My clients and VP team were extremely happy. The food was amazing but the service and ease of creating the event was astonishing. Kush will definitely see more of me via for business and personal time! Grade A++ for the management

Best birthday place!

I had a birthday party here for a group of 10. They were so nice here, it was definitely a breath of fresh air. There wasn't any pushy, ego driven, club BS to deal with. Everyone got in smoothly and the manager was surprisingly attentive and nice. Awesome DJ and relatively good food (for a bar). Would recommend.

• Pros: Bottles aren't outrageous. Friendly staff.
• Cons: Don't go here expecting a quiet, loungy feel

So some friends of mind one nite happened to wander into this establishment, I wasn't able to pass coat check because some guy refused me entry unless I checked my bag which contained my work laptop. When I refused to pay the $3 dollars he told me t his name was Tim and that he was the GM. I said that's great and proceeded to leave. I tapped him on the shoulder and he then basically flipped and punched me in the chest and said "do you want to take it down the street? " Now this is a first, usually this happens with door guys. But the GM? Obviously this guy has issues.

Perfect night out!

I have been to Kush several times over the last few months both for private parties and as a regular guest. Each time my friends and I have received incredible service from staff and management. The food is delicious and their Saturday night DJ is fantastic! I will definitely be back!

Perfect for Parties

I planned my best friend's bachelorette party here last Saturday for a group of 15 girls and we had an awesome time. We didn't have a problem getting in or anyone else that came later who joined our party. Our group had a great time dancing the night away and enjoy our corner table that we reserved in advance - the required bottle service is a con, however, there aren't many lounges in NYC that you can reserve a table without a minimum. The management and staff at Kush were friendly and ensured our group had fun. I would go back there again for a celebration.

Best Place in the City for a Private Event

I hosted a Private Event yesterday at Kush and I have to tell you it was ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! The drinks were nothing short of WONDERFUL and the staff was extremely friendly and accomodating! In fact I loved Kush so much... That I'm hosting yet ANOTHER PRIVATE EVENT THERE.. NEXT MONTH!!

Amazing birthday party

I had my 25th bday party at kush on july 18th and we had a great time. I had about 30-40 people there in and out and we were seated in the front near the entrance. The music was great, we danced a lot, and smoked some hookah and drank a lot. The security at the door were really nice and not pretentious at all. Tim (manager) was on point when he described the place. Everything he said was exactly how it was. Surprising to find honest good people in that business who aren't trying to take advantage of you. They actually make money on honesty and great service. I didn't try the food, but will go back sometime for food. It was interesting to see how my party was dancing and drinking and other parties in the same venue were sitting and smoking hookah and drinking and they weren't bothering us and we weren't bothering them. Really a great place to go!!

• Pros: Everything...friendly staff, accomodating, not uptight
• Cons: nothing really
