I have been a member for 2yrs, the owners are great, the instructors are awesome, its the best thing I've done for myself, I can't thank them enough!! Best pole dance and classes.

Great Classes In A Clean, Friendly & Fun Environment

I've been dancing for most of my life at several studios throughout the city and wanted to try something different so I looked into pole dancing and found EDC studios online. I have to say that I am extremely impressed with EDC not solely because the classes and the instructors are great, but more so because EDC has helped me unleash my inner goddess. I feel so much more confident and sexy thanks to their classes. I love that they teach the proper techniques that help emphasize a woman's sensuality and re-define her attitude. I've been coming to EDC for several months now and have no plans of switching to another dance studio because the boost to my self-esteem along with the great curves I've acquired are something I could have not accomplished elsewhere. I'm delighted with EDC.

A Place of Self Expression

Dancing is something I always enjoyed doing. Finding a dance school that provided a new type of dance was something I was looking for. I was amazed at what I found when I found EDC. I truly enjoy taking classes at EDC because they have given me a new form of self-expression through dance. Not only do I get the chance to find my "inner sexiness" through the different classes that they offer, I also get an ultimate whole body workout in a safe, clean, spacious, inviting environment.

EDC has knowledgeable instructors like Alieesah, who possesses a dynamic teaching style. I really like the luxury of having an instructor that is able to simplify pole dancing for the average women who has never been on a pole before in her life! The instructors are down to earth and gentle when giving directions or correcting movements. They are also patient and encouraging.

EDC also offers a variety of classes ranging from "Intro to Pole" for beginners all the way up to "Exotic Dancing Diva" for the exotic dancing expert! Who knew there were so many types of exotic dancing styles? Classes are fun, exhuberating and most definitely a stress reliever.

FUN, FUN, FUN

I am an athletic women that snowboards and swim and wanted something other that the same old treadmill workout at the gym. That is when I found Exotic Dance Central. I have been taking pole dancing classes from them for the past 3 months now and I love it. The staff is very friendly and the teachers are patient. I strongly advise any woman looking for a fun sexy workout to try dance central inc:) I give them 5 stars all the way.

OUTSTANDING DANCE SCHOOL!!!!!!!!!

EDC is hands down one of the best exotic dance studios i have been too. The instructors are very patient and definitely know how to make you work muscles in your body you probably didn't know you had. It's like going to the gym, a party and networking all in one. This dance studio will make you keep coming back because it's so much fun. You get your money's worth here. If you take one class you will come out of there knowing a whole routine that you can actually go home and perform for your partner. What I really love about this studio is you will find females of every shape, size, age, nationality. And it really makes you feel welcome and comfortable with and around other people. This place has became my home away from home. That's how great the environment there is.

Not professional

I decided to take an afternoon class during the week. The first time i went to attend a class it was cancelled because none showed up (most reputable schools take your cc# to assure attendance). The next week I decided to try again and was pleasantly surprised when none was there to buzz me in or answer the phone (i guess they took the day off). Needless to say I will not be trying again since it is quite obvious they don't need the business.

• Pros: Pole dancing is great!!!!!
• Cons: this place lacks the practices of a reputable business

5 bachelorette girls + pole dancing = FUN!!!

We had a blast! I signed up 5 girls as part of our bachelorette NYC bash, and we all had a blast.

Our instructor was very patient, knowledgeable and professional.

She also allowed the bride-to-be to show off her newly learned pole dancing tricks by doing a quick performance for us, it was so fun!

I would really recommend this to all types of women - shy/conservative/modest/wild etc. It really helps bring out your inner sexx kitten and it's DEFINITELY a workout girls! Our arms were SORE for 2 days. I have a lot more respect for pole dancers now LOL

Don't listen to the negative reviewers - it was fun!

EDC IS THE BEST DANCE SCHOOL IN MANHATTAN.

I've decided to try pole dancing for both fun and as an alternative form of exercise. Someone recommended EDC to me and it's the most rewarding experience ever, especially for someone like me who is a beginner without ANY dancing skills!

The pole dancing classes are excellent!

The instructor is very skilled at teaching the fundamental techniques AND she is very patient (a very valuable asset that a good instructor should possess).

I look forward to my pole dancing classes every week, my skills and confidence have improved greatly, the workout is awesome and I'm ready to upgrade to a higher level. Did I mention the Staff is very welcoming and wonderful?

I will recommend this school 100% to anyone who's considering exotic dance lessons.

EDC - my home away from home!

I've been taking pole dancing classes now at EDC for almost 4 months. I love it! Friendly staff and instructors, and they work with you and your abilities. I know how some one stated that the first course was very beginner, but it helps you get the basics down. After that class, it's been a real workout each class. Between spinning, climbing and dancing, you definitely get a great workout and leave the class tired but feeling great.

I'd recommend EDC to anyone you wants to excel in pole or exotic dance, or just wants to have fun, burn some calories and build confidence!

Friendly environment

I was surprised to see some of the comments made about EDC on here. I told my friend how much fun I was having taking the classes and when she was doing some research about the school she came across this website. She called me and told me to look at the comments because they were contradicting what I was telling her. I have been going to EDC for a few months now and I feel it was the best decision I made. The manager is extremely friendly and the instructors are very knowledgeable on whatever class they are teaching. There are three dance studios, two bathrooms, and a changing room; all of which are clean at all times. I have never had any problems while attending, the schedules are flexible and the school with work with anyone if given enough time. I am now an intermediate student and plan on continuing until I am advanced. This is a great workout and I would recommend EDC to any and everyone.
