Best spa in the city!!!!!!
by supplefans at Citysearch
I have been to Supple spa several times and every time I have been there, I have had a great experience. I have had many facials, massages, and waxing services and Supple spa is such a great place to have these services done. The staff is very knowledgeable and extremely friendly and capable. After my facial, my face was so clear and my muscle are rejuvenated. I was never pressured into buying anything. I am going back again and again!!Thank you so much Supple spa.
- Pros: Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, reasonable prices
- Cons: None
Worst place for a facial!
by dreamwultz at Citysearch
Great location, nice amenities, but the WORST place I've gotten a facial at. They almost ruined my face. Beautician perhaps not licensed, did not know what she was talking about, the few things she was able to tell me, I've thought many years ago- which is entirely untrue. Ok, no knowledge, doesn't matter- just wanted a quick facial and get outta there. However she poked my face so hard I had to scream and still DID NOT get the idea to stop (not only that she laughed about it), now i'm hoping I'm not permanently scarred and almost killed my face with the high frequency charge to reduce redness/kill bacteria.. I insisted I did not want it if that's the lowest it goes..she did not get the point intially- in the end of course the customer wins, but had I not tell her...couldn't wait to storm outta there. Will not go back, gave me VIP discount for next time- NO THANKS!
- Pros: Location
- Cons: Facials
Best Deep Tissue

I prefer to get a massage that would get all of the knots and tension out of my back. It's a relatively no frills yet nicely decorated spa. I'm never disappointed and go back to this spa all the time.
- Pros: Best massage, affordable
- Cons: No frills
Good experience- VERY reasonable!

I went to Supple Spa with my boyfriend for spa week. We got a couples massage and i have to say that I was a little skeptical at first after reading the mixed reviews- but for $50 each, I would give it a try. From the second we walked in, we were greeted by an extremely welcoming and pleasant staff. They offered us water and led us to the massage chairs in the waiting room. After waiting for about 5 minutes, we went into our room and it was set up beautifully! Rose petals were scattered on the bed, it was nicely decorated and the ambiance was really romantic. Both of our technicians were EXCELLENT! After our massage, they did not rush us out and kept offering water. The only drawback was that the walls/dividers are very thin, and you could hear other clients in the spa talking if they aren't quiet. In our case it was a very loud, obnoxious couple discussing their blackheads-really ruined the mood. Also, they do not have a relaxation area, or a changing room. All in all, my boyfriend and I were VERY pleased with the experience. I'm really looking forward to going back soon!
- Pros: Pleasant staff, cheap prices, pretty ambiance
- Cons: No changing room or relaxation area
great deep tissue massage

This is the second time I've gone here to get a deep tissue massage from June. She will make you sore but will also get all the knots out. She is very experienced and knowledgeable about how to loosen up tight muscles.
The only reason that I did not give this place 5 stars was because of my terrible bikini wax experience. Do not get a bikini wax here. The woman (not June) was completely inexperienced and was literally ripping my hair out until I told her to stop. She kept blaming the wax temperature, but regardless, she did nothing to remedy the situation. It took forever and was not well done at all. I did not ask her to touch it up because I wanted to get it over with. Excellent place for massage, terrible place for bikini wax.
- Pros: great massage for $65
- Cons: terrible bikini wax
Not a SPA experience : (
by Veil28 at Citysearch
Mind you, the staff was lovely... everyone was very sweet and polite. I got a bikini wax -- and it was a very awkward, weird experience -- one of the staff members walked in in the middle of it... which may not seem like a big deal to some, but just imagine the horror of hearing the door which leads right into the waiting area, slowly open as you are spread eagle on a table at the mercy of someone waxing some pretty painful and exposed areas.
Next I got a manicure and pedicure. My expectation at a Nail salon would be low... my experience at this so-called Spa was, in my opinion, even less pleasant than a nail salon. There was nothing special about it... the person did not even work on the tough skin on my heels, etc... I mean, this is summer in NYC! They barely massaged my feet and hands and all of it was done under the glaring light of a fluorescent lamp pointed in my face. I also have noticed today that my manicure is a little shabby...all broken, sloppy cuticles. As I said, they were all nice, so I feel bad writing this, but perhaps they could use some good feedback. They should not be advertising as a Spa - - until they raise their standards a bit.
- Pros: Staff
- Cons: Services
The Couples Massage was ... interesting to say the least.
by brokenrecordrepeats at Citysearch
I had some friends in town visiting and one of them had found a good deal on couples massages, so we booked appointments for three couples massages to be done simultaneously ... well first off, the place looked nothing like the photos. It was badly decorated and felt very "awkward" ... definitely not what you expect when going to a spa.
Next off, you're supposed to get champagne and a warm up massage from the massage chair ... none of this happened. We were all led into rooms with no instruction, no preparation and pretty much no attention paid to us whatsoever except people pointing us to where we were supposed to go.
Then for the massages ... they were decent ... I would definitely NOT say the best massage ever ... but the thing that bothered not just myself, but my five other friends, was the fact that the women doing the massages kept putting their crotches in our faces! And it didn't just happen once, it happened several times. I know that you have to do some maneuvering when giving someone a massage, but really ... let's have some standards here. After we all came out of the massages, everyone had the same confused look on their faces. We paid and not a word was said to any of us when we were leaving.
It was a very very strange and uncomfortable environment.
- Pros: Location, price
- Cons: value, treatment, facility
Excellent Facial
by 1sungirl at Citysearch
I am very picky about facials. I was a little nervous about trying supple spa because of some of the negative reviews saying that the spa employees are not certifed. I checked ahead, and this is completely UNTRUE. So, my boyfriend and I made an appointment. We had terrific facials yesterday in a room-for-two. Amy was my facialist, my skin looks amazing! She was very gentle on my sensitive skin. I will be back. I like to get monthly facials which was starting to get expensive at my other spot, but at supple spa, the price cannot be beat. Thanks Amy!
- Pros: great facial!
- Cons: thin walls between rooms
Great massage!

I took my boyfriend to supple spa for his birthday and it exceeded my expectations. You can hear the bell and in-coming clients but I was so engrossed in the experience that It did not detract from my experience. The price was worth the experience. The massage therapists were professional and thorough. We enjoyed our experience and will definitely go back. I love supple spa!
- Pros: experienced staff
- Cons: noise
DISAPPOINTED
by nycgirl2008 at Citysearch
THIS WAS MY VERY FIRST MASSAGE, AT THE SPA , AND I MUST SAY THAT, MY TIME WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING, BECAUSE THE ROOM THEY GAVE ME, WAS NOT SO QUIET AT ALL. AND I NORMALLY LIKE A VERY QUIET TIME, BECAUSE THAT WHY I COME TO SPA'S TO RELEASE THE TENSION OF THE MANHATTAN STREETS AND WORK STRESS. THE MASSAGE THERAPIST DID MY MASSAGE TOO DEEP, AND DIDNT REALLY UNDERSTAND WHAT SHE WAS SAYING. I WOULD HAVE APPRECIATED TO HAVE ME ASSIGN TO A THERAPIST CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT THE CLIENTS NEEDS ARE. AS FOR THE BOOKING I EXPECTED TO BE IN ON TIME. I CAME IN ON TIME, (BUT I HAD TO WAIT) . I DOUBT I WOULD BE BACK. I GUESS THEY DESERVE A SECOND TRY, BUT IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN, I DEFINETLY WONT BE BACK . THE PRICES ARE REASONABLE COMPARED TO THE ONES AROUND THE CITY, MONEY IS NOT AN OBJECT, (THE PLACE SETTING,) (THE THERAPIST, )(THE QUIETNESS) IS WHATS MOST IMPORTANT, AND THE (ATTENTION YOU RECIEVE).=/
