Home Sweet Home
by Dimthelightsmike
Soooo....it's Thursday night and my old college roommate wanna go out on College night. I've heard of Home a few times but never bothered bc I'm more of a bar person. I'll have to admit, the door people IE ticket man, Bouncers, promoters were very cordial. We got there around 10:30 and to our surprise there was an open vodka bar till 11pm!!! I threw back a few beers, my buddy drank scotch on the rocks. Spent about $60 in total (and I tipped) on a few rounds. The DJ played today's hits all night! I shoulda left at 1am but ended up leaving when the lights went on!!! It's official thursday night is the new Friday night...
- Pros: Club located on the hottest strip on NYC
- Cons: NONE!
A great place to got
by ChristianeH
I went to Guest House a few weeks ago. We also went with a pomoter (Marion 917-557-5787) and dindn't have any problems at all. At least she did not try to get any money from us :)
We went through the VIP entrance without paying and had a really great night at guest house!!!!!
We'll definitely go there again!

RIPPED OFF!!!
by danichick5
My friends and I were approached by the "promoter" to which he gave us a card and assured us that the 5 of us we're going to get a table and bottle service if we only paid $20.00 each, to which we accepted. As soon as we got in the promoter greeted a couple of people including people at the door, such as the security guard, a bartender and hosts. Soon after we got in he got lost in the crowd. We were left with no bottle, no table and of course a horrible horrible atmosphere. When we found him and tried to talk to him he said we could drink from his own bottle...that he was sharing we his friends.....lol!!!! all I have to say to that!!! RIPPED OFFF!!! NEVER AGAIN.
best bartender in the city.
by stacie2300
this place was amazing!!
me and my friends went here last sat, the bartender was the fastest in the city, he knew what i wanted before i even asked, and it was packed wall to wall, he made us feel like were the only people there if you go, look for a hot rocker guy behind the bar named blaze.
he's the best!!
Awesome friendly bartenders...Great music selection!
by KKFalcone
My sister and I went there for the first time last Friday night. We were welcomed at the door and the bartenders, Bethany and Blase were so friendly and wonderful, they made us feel like this was definately the place to spend the evening! The ecclectic choice of music was a pleasant surprise...something for everyone to enjoy. The next time we are in the city, we will definately make it a point to go again!!
- Pros: Friendly Staff, Cool Atmosphere, Great Music
- Cons: A bit expensive
Celebrity guests at Home!
by BriteEyes92
I went with my friend to Home on a Wednesday night because it was advertised that rap star The Game and Danity Kane's Dawn Richard would be there. We went to Guesthouse by accident and then left and went to Home. It was a mixed crowd. The DJ placed hiphop and R&B. Later on DJ Clue (popular NYC DJ) came and DJed which I did not really like (too much rap).
The Game did show up, so did Dawn Richard and Q (from Day 26). DJ Clue kept on shouting out other celebrities ( Chrisette Michelle, Fabolous, J. Holiday) that were present that I did not see because I wasnt in their area and because I am not a groupie.
Had a good time all in all. It was also free of charge for us because we were on a guestlist.
- Pros: Nice party atmosphere. Mixed crowd.
- Cons: None really.
Had a fun time, but I was ripped off

This place is alright. I am from Austin, Texas so the NYC bar/club scene is always exciting for me since we don't have very many places to dance to good music. We have awesome dive bars though. This place didn't impress me as much as some of the other clubs in NYC, but I still thought it was really nice inside. The bartenders were pretty rude, but I usually take that with a grain of salt because most bartenders have a holier than thou attitude when they are really busy and making mad tips. Not sure how much in tips these people make because of how rude they are though. Anyway, its a fun place to dance and it got pretty packed and lively. All was good until I went to the bar to close out my tab and had clearly been overcharged. I asked the hipster wanna-be bartender who had on wayyyy too much eyeliner (like one of the fruits from my chemical romance) to give me a bill that showed each of my drinks and how much they cost and he refused to help me. I let it go since I was on vacation and I saved tons of money at other parties and clubs, so i tried to not let this get to me. If there ever is a next time (meaning we can't get into any place better) I will be sure to pay with cash instead of my card. Don't waste your time or money here!
- Pros: Cool decor, fun music
- Cons: Everything else, especially the fruity bartender with black hair and too much eyeliner
Under Age Crowd
by west2east
Impulse seems to always have under age kids at their table. not sure what their deal is or how they get thru the door, but would appreciate it if they were stricter at the door on the week days
- Pros: intimate, exclusivity
- Cons: when minors are allowed
DO NOT GO HERE--unless you like unattractive people and like your personal items stolen!!
by fashiongirl24
This is probably one of the worst places I've been to in a while. First of all, my friend's wallet was stolen right in front her face by some B & T people, and when we told security they acted as if it were our problem. Yes, "this is New York City", but if your purse is right by your side and your wallet STILL gets stolen--I'm sorry that is just flat out wrong. Secondly, the crowd was by far the ugliest group of people I've ever seen. Then again if you're a girl that likes guys that wear chains and v-neck t-shirts, then you should definitely go. And if you're a guy that likes skanky fat girls with absolutely no fashion sense, then you should also go.
Finally, the staff was completely unprofessional and rude. These fat bastards need to be taught a lesson in customer service/ettiquette for people that are paying for bottle service. Home is the type of place that tries to appear upscale and classy, but in reality it is just your below average club with a disgusting crowd that caters to THIEFS and UGLY people.
- Pros: none
- Cons: People steal, B &T crowd, they let ANYONE in, horrible staff
Great Time!
by Beachic77
I plan many events with my friends/clients/co-workers and if its a club scene we want we always go to Home! Megan who does the reservations is AMAZING! She even called me on her day off last minute and allowed me to book a reservation. The door people are very accomadating and the music is the best! Once when I was there I lost my bag, cell phone, wallet and camera so be careful with putting your stuff on the couches but besides that- a great time!
- Pros: Great Staff and Music
- Cons: Tricky couches
