Great atmosphere, very well balanced cocktails, good service. I had a very good overall experience at the Pegu Club. Tried out many cocktails - Red Pepper was most unusual and interesting, the rest were very good too. I'd recommend Hamachi appetizer.
- Pros: cocktails
- Cons: not a big choice of food - would love to see more appetizers on the menu
More Cocktails than you can count!

I went to Pegu with one of my friends to catch up, the drinks did arrive slow, but I was in heaven when they arrived. I was very pleased with the service and the quality of the cocktails the presentation was beautiful. Once I explained to the waitress that I couldn't really find something that interested me, or more so that I was in the mood for on the menu- than the three drinks I already had, the cocktail waitress made note of my prior choices and sent me a classic cocktail that was not on the menu that was absolutely amazing... sadly enough I cannot remember the name of it , but I'll have to talk about how it tasted next time I try to order it. Although our drinking slowed down, our waitress did not push us to order or try to move us from the table, or act rude or annoyed at our slowed down ordering. She would check up on us, but never felt pressured to order. And after a while dropped the check, but made sure to let us know that if we needed anything she would continue to assist us, and that there was no rush to pay. It really made it an enjoyable experience for me and my friend, since we do need all the time in world to catch up with both our busy lives... we've decided to make it our meeting place, to catch up more often. I would suggest coming here. The people are friendly and professional. The atmosphere is relaxing and the cocktails are yummy.
- Pros: Delicious Cocktails!
- Cons: Slow delivery, but still worth the wait.
Don't Do It!

I was at Pegu this past weekend with three friends and received some pretty bad service. The service was slow, and the waitress did not check on our table regularly. When she did, she would ask (appropriately), "do you want another drink". The only problem was that twice I had to reply, "Just the one I already ordered". Because the service was so slow, she apparently got confused and brought over a new drink even though the original order eventually had shown up. To make amends, she told us it was free, but somehow it ended up on our bill. When we pointed that out to her, she accused us of lying yet said she'd take away the charge because she uses the honor system. My friends and I were already a little annoyed at the lying accusation but she then sends over the useless manager to tell us she knows the waitress was right and although they would revise the bill "we need to make sure we tip her well." Seriously? It wasn't even about the money, but the tacky and rude way we were being treated. I've been here once before, but will certainly never go back. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that knows how to treat its customers.
- Pros: Tasty Cocktails
- Cons: Bad Service, Slow
Mistreated, expensive, small drinks

Me and my friend aren't all that into the scene of bars, loud music and partying. I just had turned 21 and wanted to experience a real lounging experience. I found Pegu Club through city search and thought it was exactly what we were looking for. When we had arrived we felt out of place (wasn't the clubs fault). We were seated all the way in the front (it looking a "waiting" area with tables). I was told by the website that reservations weren't necessary and it was open to the public. We weren't treated that way. I had asked if we could have a table/booth to sit where all the people were sitting and enjoying their drinks but the hostess gave me an attitude problem and said "Um..actually those are only reserved for people who had made reservations". These were small booths by the way. Couples started to come in and receive better treatment and got to sit wherever they wanted. I'm just going to assume it was because of how we looked so young (but was of age) and how we weren't part of the scene. We ate the special (roasted peppers), they were just okay. My drink was yummy, but very very small and hardly had any alcohol in it. My friends first mojito, was very strong and hardly had any taste to it other than alcohol. We got our bill and left. Never going here again. It also looked better in the photos. Everyone seemed to know each other in this place, and there was a lot of "get togethers" here. Not exactly a place where you could meet someone new. This isn't a place for young adults, more like business people.
- Pros: Really great drinks, cute asian dresses warn by staff
- Cons: Bad service, small drinks, high prices, not a place to meet people

kool place. The bartenders look more like surgeons or scientists crating and mixing drinks. This place is very well designed location with very discreet entrance i would recommend it. if you can get pass the bouncer.I went with 4 women but they decided to tell me to wait when i invited them for drinks. Overall great modern decor and great cocktails.
If they only played cooler up to date DJ music on an ipod it would be a homerun
- Pros: great look
- Cons: cocky bouncers
so average

Wow, I was so unimpressed, the cocktails were blah!!!, I love the old school stuff, but this is just taking the mickey. Very unfriendly, everything tasted the same. I love Bitters, but come on.....
Great drinks, great vibe

I have been wanting to go to Pegu for quite some time and finally did so on Saturday night. The drinks and atmosphere definitely lived up to our expectations. It was nice to see a cocktail list of mature combinations instead of the typical fruity, sweet concoctions so common today. We sampled a few appetizers - highly recommend the crabcakes. The lighting was fabulous, the music was chill. We caught a little bit of an attitude from the hostess at first because we asked to sit at a reserved table to grab a couple of drinks before heading elsewhere for dinner. It was 6:30 and the table was reserved for 10pm. After assuring her that we would not be staying for more than an hour or two she relaxed. Our waittress was a bit unfriendly but perhaps she was nervous or new. Overall, we were impressed with our visit. I will definitely make my way back to Pegu in the future.
- Pros: tasty cocktails, cool atmosphere
- Cons: long wait for drinks
Great service, Best Drinks in Manhattan

I went to the infamous Pegu Club on a Saturday night not too long ago. It is a very fun, crowded atmosphere and I did enjoy myself but I was look for something a little more romantic. I went back a week or two later on a Sunday for an early evening cocktail and it was the best experience. Our waitress was very polite, attentive and gave my wife and I the best suggestions. My wife had the Champagne Apricato and it is all she talks about now to all of her friends. Their varient of the Dark and Stormy is awesome as well. Usually when I think of having a good time during the week, Sundays do not come to mind. But, Thanks to the Pegu Club, it is my favorite day to drink! Saturdays are booming but Sundays are just right.
- Pros: great waitress, amazing drinks, nice decor
- Cons: a little too crowded on Saturday.
