mcKeown's

Loved this place for lunch with friends.. Warm and welcoming feeling.. Choice of 2 fresh home made soups. Had the Barbeque Grilled Chicken sandwich.. Delicious on a cold New York Day. Would definitely recommend this place . Will go back to try their dinner or Sunday Brunch..
- Pros: comfortable, welcoming
Great place for all ages and appetites
by rozzieloi
My entire family and I have been going to this place since it opened. We have all ages from 4 to 84 and we all enjoy the food and the atmosphere. The football is awesome and so is the music. Employees are friendly and so are the customers. We have always gotten great service and excellent food.
- Pros: Service and food great. Good friendly atmosphere.
- Cons: Parking.
GREAT PLACE!!

Love McKeowns... always filled with great people and laughter. Very reasonably priced drinks and great food. The games are always on and service is prompt and always with a smile. I always find myself staying way longer then i expect to.
Great Irish Pub
by kad715
if you haven't been here yet, you have to go. It's a nice place to go and relax and hang out with your friends. The staff is very friendly and the food is delicious! My favorite is the Fish 'N Chips. I've been here several times and plan on going back again and again and again. There wine selection is pretty good as well. There's nothing like a nice glass of cold Sauvignon Blanc and good company!
Great Place to Watch A Game
by nyc10128
This is a great pub to catch a game. Three tv's above the bar and another 4 or 5 in the back dining room make it an excellent place to catch the yanks or mets. Sunday afternoon football always has a fun crowd. Terrific food and service make this upper east side pub a must.
- Pros: service, food, sports
- Cons: dinning room fills up fast- make a reservation
Great place for good drinks, good laughs and good friends!

If you're looking for a relaxed place with good drinks, great homestyle food, to sit back and enjoy with friends, McKeown's is totally the place to go! Been there a bunch of times, and each visit reminds me why I keep coming back! Friendly emloyees who go out of their way to accomodate you and make you feel at home. So, if you're like me and enjoy relaxing with a nice cold glass of white and some delicious Fish 'N Chips (and YES, they're worth the calories), McKeown's is it!
Avoid at all costs.

Great place for the homeless to hang out. and to place a football wager. Lot's of gambling going on here too. Be carefull with your money and WHEN YOU LEAVE MAKE SURE YOU GIVE A $20.00 TO THE HOMELESS GUYS STANDING AT THE DOOR, OTHERWISE THEY WILL MAKE A PITCH TO YOU.
- Pros: great place to meet the conmen
- Cons: WATCH YOUR MONEY
Charmed Atmosphere

I've been in a few times and each time it gets better! The staff are professional and yet comfortable enough to make a joke (the chick behind the bar in the video has a great sense of humor)! The owner introduced himself and introduced me to some of the regulars and now I'm a semi-regular. Very friendly crowd. The appetizers are very tasty and the meals I've had there (Shepherd's Pie, Bangers & Mash, Irish Stew) have all been delicious! I live on the upper west side and this place is out of my way, but well worth the trip!
- Pros: Great staff and crowd
- Cons: travel time to and from if you're on the upper west side!
No customer service here!
by sealover22
Where do I even begin...? Since this is the upper east side you do not expect bartenders to over charge on the amount of drinks served, but this one did. Even after questioning him, he corrected the check, but he was rude and said awful things to myself and other customers about his working conditions.
In addition, we patiently waited for over an hour for our food. Maybe this was used as a gimmick to get us to stay longer and buy more over priced drinks. Finally, we threw in the towel and headed out, but were stopped at the door by a poor homeless man who wanted $20.00 bucks for a shower.
I recommend not wasting a dime at this dive establishment!
- Pros: great place to meet the homeless!
- Cons: Bring cash and double check the bill.
You won't be dissapointed.

This is an awesome upper east side pub. The staff treats you well, the regulars are not jerks, they have a great menu and the game is always on. If you are looking for a place to bring a date or watch the game, and eat some good food with good people...this is it.
